The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 10

I just made ressies for us and my parents to go to Niagara Falls for 2 nights the first week of August. I got a family suite w/ 2 bedrooms. My kids are going to love the falls. I have been showing Nicholas pictures from online and he thinks it is so cool. I think we will also go to Marineland one day while we are up there. I used to love Seaworld when I was little, but since the one in OH is gone, I don't know if we will ever get there. Thanks for your help on this Chanon!

How fun, Tammi! Where are you staying? Niagara Falls was practically in my backyard growing up, and my parents still live near there. We didn't go near the Falls when we were just there, because it's always crazy around the 4th of July. I haven't been to Marineland since I was very young, and I know that it has changed a lot since then. I also have a very special place in my heart for SeaWorld in Aurora, OH...I miss it. Have a great trip!

Just got off the phone with my, all the doctors know is that it was a bacterial infection. The electrocardiogram and the blood work were clear. She had a cat scan earlier today, but they want to do another, the nurse told her probably because the first one was fuzzy.

So long as she doesn't run a fever anytime between now and tomorrow morning, she can go home tomorrow.

and prayers that the fever doesn't return!

To tell you the truth, it never occurred to me to dress him until Vicki came along with her obsession. I'm planning on going to our local BABW Friday night. I'm looking for a beach chair for the traveling PM for Virginia Beach. I saw that they have them online, so I'm hoping I can get one there. Maybe I'll get my Pal some new duds while I'm there.

I loved Niagara Falls. I was there once as a child and once as an adult. It is amazing. I really want to get back out there and do the Maid of the Mist. I think that would be so cool! You will have a blast!!!!

I love the Maid of the Mist, though it has been a while since I've been on. It is much better now with the disposable rain poncho than it was with the STINKY, heavy old rain coats.

Wow, that's cool! Where are you staying? My grandmother took me up there every summer to visit family. I would like to take my kids now since they have never been. Does anyone know if Maple Leaf Village amusement park is still there?

Maple Leaf Village is gone. I have fond memories of that as well!

I went to our McDonald's this morning that had all 3 Ramone's and Flo on Monday and they were completely sold out. They are already doing the POC toys. Tonight I checked the other McDonald's and was able to get the gold and purple Ramone and a Flo for Becky and a Ramone and Flo for Theresa. I'll get them in the mail soon ladies. I thought it was strange that one McDonald's is already doing POC when the promo doesn't start until Friday.

I couldn't find Ramone (any of them) or Mater in any of our MCD's, but POC is out as of yesterday, no toys, just the game tags on the fries and drinks.

Oh! Thats too bad. I loved going on that HUGE ferris wheel!
I also remember those old raincoats they gave you on the mist. Thats great you can get disposible ones now..the last time I was there was in 1985 so I guess alot has changed. I guess Clifton Hill is still as touristy/cheesy as when I last was there....did you ever go to the Niagara Museum that had the mermaid (a monkeys body sewed to a fishes tail?) & the 2 headed animal displays???? Ahhh fond memories as a child.

We are staying in the Clifton Hills area, at the Quality Inn. Not a fancy place but for what we need, it will do. Besides, I have to save my money to splurge at Disney!

Good morning everyone!

Would I sound redundant if I said things were crazy around here?!! As I was telling Jennifer yesterday, at this point, I am so anxious for Matthew to get here, because there's no way I'm going to get all I want to do done before he does (she claimed that made sense, but I'm doubting my sanity at this point! )

Last night we went to Babies-R-Us and bought our double stroller. Thank you so much for your generosity! We will think of you all, every time we open and close that monstrosity!

I have no idea where our camera cords or card reader are, but my sister was kind enough to email me a few pictures from the last day of swimming lessons. Alyssa actually looks a little content, though there was still a lot of whining and crying going on. Do you like where she stuck her duck?!!

We have a new refrigerator being delivered today and my mom is arriving tonight. I have several DDA phone numbers plugged into my cell phone, but no fighting over who gets to post Matthew's arrival first!

I realize that we are something of a clique but we welcome other people and are more than happy to explain about our jokes when people ask or people join and we realize they may not know what we are talking about. That is why I love this place! I always like seeing new people join and become part of the group! You all are so friendly to everyone!

It is a good place to be when you have kids..that is where we stayed when i was little. All the museums & places of interest are right on that stretch of road. Hmmm...I wonder if they saved the ferris wheel or something?

ETA: I just had to look that up..seems like this is the old ferris wheel refurbished? It used to be in the amusement park but is now it's own attraction. That was a fun ride & you can see the falls so well.
