My son had nursemaids elbow until he was about 6-7 years old. It does get less frequent the older they get. My doctor showed me the technique to snap it back into place so we could just do it at home. This was after two trips to the emergency room. His Sunday School teacher snapped it out once and let him set and cry for over an hour until I got there and then she said he was just being a spoiled child and should not always get his way. ARRRG. Needless to say he did not go back to Sunday School as long as she was the teacher. I don't know it your doctor mentioned it but any type of twisting motion of the arm can cause it to pop out or swinging from the monkey bars. Good luck with this.

Sorry to hear about you SIL.
I would have lost it. :badpc: I mean how can someone who is supposed to be teaching kids about God's love show such a lack of caring. :confused3

Just got off the phone with my, all the doctors know is that it was a bacterial infection. The electrocardiogram and the blood work were clear. She had a cat scan earlier today, but they want to do another, the nurse told her probably because the first one was fuzzy.

So long as she doesn't run a fever anytime between now and tomorrow morning, she can go home tomorrow.
:wizard: Hope she gets to go home soon.

Good morning all. I have been reading along but since I got back from vacation I just feel out of sorts. It seems like I get on here and get distracted way to easily with something else and then I come back and am lost. :confused3 I think it is just this feeling that I am just not caught up here or in my house and then we are in the middle of making a big change in our lives.

While on vacation in Michigan, we made the decision to move out there. This has been on the table for a few years but after being there recently, I know this is where I want to be. I have felt for a long time that I am not home. I have lived in Maryland all my life and 90% of my family is here but I don't feel like this is the place for Eric, the girls and I. Our short term goal is 1 year and the long term is 2 years. I really like the area and the housing market is more within our reach as far as owning a little larger house. Eric has been researching his career field out there and it seems to be an area where he shouldn't have a problem finding something So we have been doing a lot of research on the job and housing market out there. My cousin lives in Kalamazoo and they have this program "The Kalamazoo Promise" which entitles kids graduating from the school system to a free/reduced college education to any MI state college/univ, so this is a major draw for us. If we can get there by the time Emma enters 3rd grade tuition would be covered 95% and Molly enrolled by Kindergarten would be covered 100%. Having family there is a big plus as Eric can stay with them when he is job hunting/interviewing. Not to mention that they can help point us in the right direction to available jobs and nice areas to set down some roots.

Sorry for the rambling! Just know that I am around and reading.

WOW! PD that things work out in the time frame you want. No worries dear all will work out just fine. :sunny:

I am sorry that the news isn't good for your SIL. However, I am relieved to hear that she is coming "home". It will be nice for everyone to be together for as long as possible. :grouphug: to you all. We'll be praying extra hard if we see you missing for a while at anytime.

Thank you, I will do my best to drop a note if I need to leave fast.

That's the truth! He's an attention seeker and has been from day one! It's only gotten worse since he's realized that the girls outnumber him.

Poor little guy! I try to explain to him that he's got it better than they do, since he'll never have to have hand me down clothes or toys! He really makes out like a bandit!

As for the prayers, anytime, honey, anytime!
My kids complain about my oldest Blake not having to have hand me down clothes. The way I have gotten around this is they all get a few new outfits a year, one in the fall, a new sweater and PJ's for christmas, a new outfit for Easter, and a new shirt for 4th of July. My mom will usually also buy them each a few new outfits throughout the year. I just remind them that if we had to buy all new clothes for all 4 we wouldn't be able to take vacations. :goodvibes

I have a comment on the pictures -

we should make sure the picture is just of us - I know it is not in our nature to take a picture without our kids - but I love the idea of a DDA collage -

then if you want we can get one with our kids too and we could do a DDA family collage -

I really think it would be neat if it is just us in one of the collages!

Good idea

:Pinkbounc I just made ressies for us and my parents to go to Niagara Falls for 2 nights the first week of August. I got a family suite w/ 2 bedrooms. My kids are going to love the falls. I have been showing Nicholas pictures from online and he thinks it is so cool. I think we will also go to Marineland one day while we are up there. I used to love Seaworld when I was little, but since the one in OH is gone, I don't know if we will ever get there. Thanks for your help on this Chanon!

WHOO HOOO!!!!!

And so ends my quiet time back to all of them awake and running wild. Maybe we'll watch a movie later this afternoon. :rolleyes1 Have a great afternoon if the kids don't have movie time. :wave2:

I am sorry this was a more than less frquent thing. As far as the Sunday school teacher I think I would have had a talk with the director or pastor. I am not one to let someone tell me my kids are spoiled if they cry. I get a little like this ... pirate: :furious: and that is when they should do this....:duck: :scared: . I will be the first to say my child is acting out, but....... if they cry on and on, there must be something wrong.
No the Dr did not say to watch for the little things from now on, but I will and I thank you for letting me know.

I'm in contact with her. She is trying to use one of Kate's. I think she might have saved it when it was thumbnail size. I sent her a note to make sure she is saving the large size. I figured if I couldn't help her, I'd pm the right person to help once I knew what she needed.

good, I figured it was the same. glad you helped, let us know if it worked.

If you are looking for someone to tell you not to go..you've come to the wrong place!!! :rotfl:

I just saw this on the theme parks thread..check out this site for more sounds of Disney to make you feel homesick..

http://www.wdisneyw.co.uk/sounds.html

I have 47 more days to go & we are all chomping at the bit over here!!! Everyday the kids want to know how many days are left. Even DH is now getting excited about the trip!

ETA: Great pictures of your family on the 4th!!! The kids are beautiful!!!

make a chain to take apart for each day you have left. it could help the kids a bit. Then again it could make the time take longer.
It will come soon!!!
