Kate - it's perfectly understandable that you are anxious about this test! This is your baby we're talking about! I don't think there's anyone here that doesn't understand how you are feeling.

I am okay RIGHT NOW! That mood may change as the night progresses

Steve leaves town on Tuesday so he has to be at work tomorrow - so I am going to be alone at the hospital (my mom is out of town and MIL will have Julia)

So that is making me a little bit nervous -

I just REALLY hope that I have been worrying about nothing for the past 3 weeks!!

On Friday when I was checking at work to see if we heard news on Matthew at work, one of my team asked how we were going to find out. I told her that Amy was calling one of the DDA so that they could post. She couldn't believe it!!!!! She practically fell off her floor laughing.

How exactly does one fall off their floor?!?!?!?

I know the feeling. I'm giving myself a break, though, since I just cleaned the house for book club and Katie's birthday. It looks good and only takes about 15 minutes to tidy it up. So, I don't feel too guilty about reading some.

If you need some book recommendations, I'd be happy to pass some along. Our book club has read some really wonderful books in the last couple of years, and there are several that I would recommend!

My flight times just changed!!! Time for a happy dance!!!!
I've been waiting patiently for our flights to change, I knew they would and they did!

We now arrive into Disney at 9:30AM (Thanks Airtran for getting us to Disney 4 hours earlier!) and we leave a 1/2 hour later for our nonstop return (Thanks Delta!)

Saturday started with me doing laundry getting ready to leave next week to see my sister. DH had some things to do around the house so we waited until after supper to go out on Big Mo. We got to Stephanie's house and she and I then took pictures. The whole time DH stood on the other side of the street just waiting. He would groan sometimes but he was a good trooper. Here is the two of us with Thomas

As you can see I sewed a patch on the back of his jacket.

Here he is with a few more pins on the front. As you can see Harley people are big on pins as well.

Do any of you have a recipe for ham, green bean and potato soup?

Heidi, The closest thing I have is just Smoked Neck, cut up potatoes, canned white corn and frozen green beans. It's not really a soup but it is one of my favorite comfort foods.
My mom would just cut the potatoes, cover with water and then throw the green beens in along with the smoked neck and cook til the potatoes are tender. Then she adds the corn to heat it.

I saw that when Becky quoted me. I can't believe how many typos I've been making! I usually reread everything at least twice before posting and still miss things like this until someone quotes me. I would say that I was going to say fall off her chair and changed my mind to fell on the floor and only changed part of the message!

okay - here are some pictures of my curtains

I didn't take it down - I made an extra one (not today - 6 years ago when I made them )

This is the curtain folded over - so you can see the sides and the front and back

this is the inside of the gap - see how I folded it and then sewed it so the edges are not rough - sewing the gap only left a hole but nothing exposed!

Hi Elin!! How was OBX? Any pictures, since we still haven't seen any of Matthew?!

Thanks, Tammi! OBX was amazing. A few days of clouds and a little rain, but nothing we couldn't handle. I have pictures. I thought this one was the most important one to put up tonight though. The rest can wait until tomorrow... This was taken with my cell phone at one of our favorite eating spots in Nags Head. It will never be quite the same again to me, though...

As for pictures, I can't help you out. Amy and Kevin are just slackers! Or rumor has it a cord or two might be somewhere other than the computer, with the move and all right before Matthew's arrival.

Things are really bustling there, with all kinds of family members around -- and Amy is doing lots of work instead of being catered to! Hopefully she'll have a minute to herself though, and she can pop on and say hello. And of course, post some pictures!

Hope you all are doing well. I spent the afternoon talking with people about masters tracks, and kicking myself for not doing it sooner. I have pretty much settled on one though, but have to go through an interview process before I'll know much more. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. If I don't get into this one, I'll have to make a decision -- and I hate doing that!
