Actually, I am soooooooooo proud of him!!!!!! He will be going into college with 50 credit hours, quite an accomplishment I think.

Oh my do you all think I let my girls watch the movie?

Oh no no no, they just love the pirates ride at DL and we like to say Yo Ho Yo Ho a pirates life for me. They have never nor anytime in the next 4-5 years see that movie. We love the ride and they love the ride. They see the skull and cross bones and start to sing "Yo Ho Yo Ho a pirates life for me, arrr matey".
Now they have seen Dora Pirate adventure, but that's about it as far as pirate movies go for them.
But when they see anything Disney pirate they go nuts, so this is why they want to have the MCD's toys.
WOW I sure hope you didn't think I would let them see that movie. NO NO NO.

Cassidy is going around saying "Yo ho, Yo ho, a pirates life for me" as that is the theme for the marching band this year. Did you know that marching band is competetive? I'd say it's a sport.....an expensive one at that....$200 to start the year and other incidentals will come along. . But we have it "lucky" as the average around the area is $600.....TO START!!!

Speaking of obsessions.......

with all of the drama that is going on in my life, a great idea popped into my head today, while I was thinking about what will be coming down the road. Plans were for me to retire in Spring of 08. Now I don't know if I will be able to afford to do this, and not have something to supplement my retirement.

Well, what if I sold our house and moved to FL and worked for the Mouse?!?!?! What better job could there be to add income? The market in FL can't be as expensive as it is here, right? Sounds crazy, right?

Now I know all of you are saying 'do it' 'do it', and I hope it is not just so you will have a free place to stay when you go to disney.

Sounds like an idea worth exploring. I know when my mom divorced my dad she moved. She said it allowed her to get on with her life.

Her one cancer doctor said that it was an upper respiratory (sinus) infection and it settled in her lungs.

I'm so glad for you. Did they ever find the problem?

Sending that Matthew arrives soon that he can still be a pirate baby as he will be born on the day Pirates comes out and also so he can be 07/07/07 for his first b-day and have lucky 7's on his side.

I am an ET baby as I was born on the exact day that ET came out in theatres.

I was born the day we herd... That's one small step for man and one giant leap for mankind. (yes that could be why I am a bit wierd)

Thanks again everyone on the well wishes for my mom. Luckly she is done with chemo and her white counts are back up, that is the biggest reason they let her come home.

On July 4th, DH hung up our wireless doorbell. That night is rang at 9:30, no one there. On Wed night it rang at 10:00 again no one there. I looked up and said dad stop ringing the doorbell, it has not rung since.

Sounds like a good idea, if it is something you really want and the perks aren't bad, free Disney tickets, discounts, etc.

Housing pricing is kinda crazy down in Orlando right now. The positive would be that Nicholas and Alyssa could qualify for Bright Futures scholarships for an in state college in Florida, when the time comes. That is assuming Bright Futures still exist then. The entire Florida lottery system goes to supporting education. As long as you meet a certain GPA you get full tuition and another GPA you get partial like 3/4 of 1/2 tuition. Its a pretty nice deal as long as you graduate from high school in Florida.

Becky you know some of the strangest stuff. I always find your post full of thngs I didn't know. Are you sure you are young? Did you just post pics of some young gal?

Sounds like a great marching band show. I hope she has as much fun marching as I did.

I was in Marching band in junior high through 4 years of college. I wanted to march Drum corps but never did.

Yes it is very competive. I spent every fall Friday night at football games and just about all day Saturday in high school doing Marching band competitions, some Saturdays more than one location. In a competitive circuit called TOB or Tournament of Bands. It covers 9 states on the East coast.

It can be very costly. I lucked out as our program did not charge because we fell under athletics and our football teams makes a nice profit. That and tons and tons of fundraisers to cover band costs and end of the year band trips. I was always selling something to cover costs.

Competitive or just plain old Marching Band can be very time consuming but it is also tons of fun and a very great, positive experience. Otherwise I would not have spent ten year of my life marching. I miss it very much.
