Hi Ellen!!

What great pictures!! You must be so proud!!!

I can't run the half marathon b/c of my knee but I will be there!! glynis will too - and I think Jennifer - so we will have to try to plan a DIS meet!!!!

Hi Kate, Thanks for the nice comments!

We should definitely plan a meet for the 1/2. It will be me, my DH and both my sons trying the 1/2 marathon. Not sure if we'll all finish, but we'll be there trying. We are all flying down on Jan. 4th, then the boys fly back to school on Sunday 1/7. Then Greg and I are staying on until the following Sat. 1/13. We are staying at the BCV on rented DVC points. I know most are only coming for a few days, what are your dates? Maybe we can do a dinner the night before the race? Let me know what everyone is doing.

Ellen

Ellen-

So happy to see you around again!!!
What a handsome young man you have there....smart too!!!

Thanks. He's having surgery today to remove his gallbladder.

Sounds liket that is best based on what you've shared so far. Prayers and :wizard: that it does the trick and he is on the mend quickly.

Oh, please don't! Yesterday was our first day in months that we didn't have scheduled activities throughout the day. He got to play with Ramone all day so it worked out perfectly!

:cool1: Thanks! That makes me feel better. I'm so glad he likes it.

I will be there too!!! Not for the 1/2 but for the family vacation. We will be leaving on Saturday the 6th. I will probably be able to work in dinner with ya'll either Thursday the 4th or Friday the 5th. Keep me in the loop and let me know what ya'll decide.

We don't have our dates set in stone

but it looks like we will fly down on the 3rd and back on the 7th

Since I am not running - the dinner seems fine to me - but if you want o be in bed early - maybe a lunch would be better - I will have my kids with me - I think

My sister Nancy will be there too and I am sure will want to meet everyone if she can

We have not decided where to stay - I am thinking about a timeshare condo that I can rent for $180 for the whole time and will give us two theme park tickets - but we would have to work a timeshare presentation in -

we had thought about using points but they were booked - although we might watch for an AP rate - so many decisions!!!!

"They" are saying it is supposed to cool down tomorrow to about 91/92. We had a storm last week that lasted for I swear 8 hours or more, I finally gave up and went to bed.

That was the one! Ours went on from about 3 until after I went to bed at 10. Luckily, the lightening and thunder part was primarily just two half hour segments. We're supposed to be high 70s/low 80s for a few days after the storm so I'll definitely take it.

Maybe an early dinner either the 4th or 5th. It can be on-site or off-site. We are actually staying offsite so either will work for us.

We don't fly in until the afternoon on the 4th, but we could probably do dinner on the 4th, or lunch or dinner on the 5th. But you're right, if we do dinner on the 5th, it should probably be an early one.

Let me know once you get your dates set, and find out what everyone else wants to do.

It sounds like fun! Now if only I could get my butt in gear to start walking more again!

Maybe all this talk will be what it takes to motivate me, but of course this week my excuse is that DH and I won't be home at the same time to walk together. Starting tomorrow I suppose I could walk by myself in the morning since I don't leave for work until 2:30pm.

Somebody give me a kick in the rear!!!

I'll keep him in my prayers. Can they do the surgery lap or do they need to open? Gall bladder pain is unbelievable. It's actually a relief to have surgery.

Dawn,
:wizard: for your brother. I had my gallbladder out right after my oldest was born. It is a relief after all that pain.

Kate,
Sorry about you vacation. I know once a wedding date is set that would ne hard/impossible to change. Hoep it works out for you.

I feel so alone and unhelpful right now because I am at home with the girls, DH and all the rest of the family are with SIL T at my MIL house. DH has gone to get the Priest for SIL T last rights. I have made the calls DH asked me to and along with that I ask for you to say a prayer for her one last time.
Thank you all so very much for helping me during this time.

Paula - You are in my heart!!! I'm just broken up about this. The only thing left to do is leave it in God's hands. I will continue to pray for all of you!

As for the football debate going on, we live in MS and are between the Tide and the Tigers, but DH has been a BAMA fan since he was little. He would love the Roll Tide avatar.

Debbie, just copy it from my signature. Roll Tide!

Yesterday I made ADRs for our January half-marathon trip. I am still excited, but nervous about doing the half, since I haven't been walking as much, and I seem to have too many aches and pains. But I paid for it, so I'll try. Hopefully I will start walking more again soon.

Ellen

Ellen! It's so good to hear from you, again! I feel the same way about the half. I just don't know if I'm going to be able to keep up the pace the whole way. I figure, I can only do the best I can do. So, whatever happens, I'm happy!
