Ellen -- you have some very handsome boys, and the picture of you is great, too! WTG Scott!

Dawn -- your brother has been in my thoughts and prayers. I hope this surgery relieves all his problems. I have no gallbladder and it's not a problem.

Paula -- still thinking of Tammy and sending hugs and prayers to you all.

Ellen congratulations to Scott!

Dawn glad the Dr figure out what was going on with your brother :wizard:

I am not attending the 1/2 at Disney, but I will be there the 1st - 5th with Garrett for his birthday. If you all decide on getting together on the 4th, I would love to meet everyone. I will not have transportation, so I would need to go somewhere onsite. If you decide to meet offsite, I understand. Let me know :Pinkbounc

I sent my son an email telling him about the weekend and the Duck Tour, and attached the photo of all of us in front of the Duck vehicle. This is his copied and pasted response:

Sure sounds like you enjoyed it! Is that the only picture you took? I have no trouble picturing you riding through washington quacking like a duck....

What could he be trying to say? :rolleyes1

I will be there the entire 1st week of January. Even if the DDA ends up meeting on the 5th we can still try and coordinate our schedules to meet up on one of the other days. Do you have an itinerary yet??

Here are the pictures of Thomas in the cockpit as promised.

Just to recap the story: As I was coming on the plane, I asked the Flight Attendant if I could have a pair of wings for Mickey (Thomas) he teased me and said "Oh those are really for you". I told him the story of Thomas and he came back later with a pair of wings and I immediately put them on Thomas. As I was getting off the plane, I gave him information on how he could read about the Pal Mickey's travels and he asked if I would like a picture of Thomas in the cockpit. I was so surprised and tried to get my camera out of my purse and the batteries fell out !!!!! Down on the tarmack they went. The pilot ran down the steps and brought them up. Took Thomas and put him on the console and told me I could take his picture. I looked at him and said "Are you sure?" He let me take the picture of Thomas in the cockpit and he positioned his hat to make it look like Thomas was wearing it. Then he even let me stand IN THE COCKPIT and took my picture with Thomas. Needless to day I was so happy and just could not smiling about it and had to tell everyone about it immediately.

we are all quackers? :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao:

The only day I am sure of is the 3rd, Garretts birthday. We have ADR's at 1900 Park Fare for breakfast & then we will spend the day at MK. He chose Tony's Town Square for dinner(we have never eaten here before).

I also have ADR's at Kona on the 2cd & Donalds Breakfastosaurus on the 4th. The breakfast I can cancel if everyone wants to get together for an early dinner.

Terry - can you make the pictures bigger?

so since this morning - we decided to stay at Saratoga Springs - actually - they have availability and didn't two weeks ago - so I am going to call and book it

I think an early dinner on the 5th will work best - and we are currently planning on getting the dining plan and not renting a car - so our preference would be on property - what about Whispering Canyon Cafe or Ohana's or Chef Mickey's or does anyone else have any other resort ideas?!?!

Janet - if you tell me where you will be on the 4th - maybe I could plan my day at the same park - maybe we will have breakfast with you at Donald's - we have never eaten there!!!

There's one in Allentown, and I still haven't gotten there to try it.

I would love to try Whispering Canyon or Ohana's. Would I need to use one of our park admissions to eat at either place? Having never been there, I'm just not sure. I'm thinking that those places are in the hotels, and not the parks. Am I right?

This would work too! Our ADR's are at 9:30. We have not eaten here before either. I know we will be at AK part of the day, not sure which park in the evening. We will be using the dining plan as well :thumbsup2

Yes these are at the resorts, so you do not need to use a park ticket :goodvibes

We are already doing O'hana's w/ Lilo and Stitch on the 4th for breakfast. I have done Chef Mickey before but we aren't on this trip. I have never done Whispering Canyon.

My 1st vote would be Whispering Canyon and then Chef Mickey's. Early dinner on the 5th will be fine with us. We are expecting to leave MK on that day after the 3pm parade so anytime after 4pm would be good. It will just be my husband and 2 boys. (ages 9 and 11) Most places prefer 1st seating reservations for large parties so that would probably work best.
