Good Mornimg Everyone,

Just a quick post before I head out to work, aka h*ll,

Paula, I'm so sorry about your SIL :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: You will be in my prayers.

Looks like you all had a great time in DC, but where is the pic with everyone in their matching T shirts?

Reading about the little ones starting K brings back memories, my girls are 5 years apart so the little one was a baby when the oldest started which left me with one at home for ten years total. Years later it was hard when we packed them up and moved them out to college, now we enjoy having the place to ourselves. Especially since they are close enough that we see them often.

As for the football debate going on, we live in MS and are between the Tide and the Tigers, but DH has been a BAMA fan since he was little. He would love the Roll Tide avatar.

Have a great day everyone,

Debbie

I feel so alone and unhelpful right now because I am at home with the girls, DH and all the rest of the family are with SIL T at my MIL house. DH has gone to get the Priest for SIL T last rights. I have made the calls DH asked me to and along with that I ask for you to say a prayer for her one last time.
Thank you all so very much for helping me during this time.

You have and are doing so much for your family. Not all of the things that need to be done are on the front line. I know that every call you made for DH was an immense help to him as is caring for your girls in this time of upheaval in your family. Many prayers and :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: for you all. :grouphug:

I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed myself on the DC trip. Meeting everyone was so much fun. Someone said that we all talk like we type or type like we talk :goodvibes
The Duck Tour was really neat, I learned a lot of things I did not know. A different perspective than just driving down and going to certain places. I know that Stephanie and I will plan a day to come back because a few new places have been added and we really want to see the Native American Museum and the Holocost Museum.
Meeting Steve was nice because he was so very gracious.

I must tell you that on the way down, Stephanie took an exit so we could make a pit stop and she was going to get a little something to eat. Well, we saw the sign for McDonalds and I told her to get into the left lane. Then Becky says that there is also a Chick Fill A. Well, she turned the wheel sped off towards the right lane going over three lanes to turn right into the parking lot :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao:

And Miss Blueberry survived! :rotfl:

Sorry I went to watch a show

The cousin is on Steve's side so he had no idea about the vacation -I am sure things will work out - it is just frustrating!!!

Tammi - funny - all the rest of us thought Captain Kent was checking you out!!! Wasn't just me!!

I'm sorry the trip isn't working as you had hoped and planned. :wizard: that things will work out in the end.

Hi everyone, Thanks for asking about me. I am still here, trying to read along. Work has still been hectic, but getting better. This week I am working a B shift, 3 til midnight, because they want the staff to cover more hours of the day, so we are taking turns doing a B shift.

Paula, so sorry about your SIL and :grouphug: to you. I don't know what else to say.

Amy and Kevin, Congratulations, Matthew is adorable, as is Alyssa, and you all look very happy.

The DC DDA trip looked awesome! I'm glad you all had a great time.

I will try to post more again, especially since this week I am home alone during the day, so it is easier to spend time on the DIS.
Yesterday I made ADRs for our January half-marathon trip. I am still excited, but nervous about doing the half, since I haven't been walking as much, and I seem to have too many aches and pains. But I paid for it, so I'll try. Hopefully I will start walking more again soon.

:grouphug: and :wizard: for anyone else that needs it. I should be able to keep up a little better now hopefully.

And oh! I am still looking forward to my Pal Mickey visit coming up soon.

Ellen

It is wonderful to hear from you again, Ellen! We can all identify with not being able to find the time to post, but as long as you let us know that all is well occasionally, we will leave you alone. :rotfl:

Don't work too hard, and try to keep up the walking. I cannot imagine trying to do the half marathon. You have my admiration!

No matching T-shirts, Debbie! Although Terry and Steffy did wear their matching red Disney shirts, the rest of us opted for non Disney attire. It was HHH (hazy, hot and humid) and the less clothes the better!

Good morning all! "They" are promising just one more day of scorching and I plan to home them accountable for that (assuming I can figure out who "they" are ;) ). Of course, it's also supposed to break with a major storm this afternoon so I am a little afraid of a repeat of last week. Anyone else get that MAJOR storm that blew through MA and surrounding areas? Well, I got caught in it on the way home from work so was waiting for the bus in the big, open, outdoor train station with gale force winds whipping the rain at me and lightening on all four sides of me. A little scary as the strikes on one side were coming in tandem with the thunder.

Hope everyone else starts cooling off some as well!!

Our elementary lunches are $1.75 and we can also prepay. It is so conveinent to do it this way. But I really think that our school lunches leave alot to be desired I swear Emma gained a lot of weight and the only thing that changed was that she was buying school lunches. I can see a big difference in her from the beginning of the year to the end of the year. They have fruit/veggies/salad with the meals but I can't explain it and neither can her pediatrician. So we are laying off of them this year to see if it makes a difference.

I doubt this is the case for you, but it reminded me of a problem I had when my youngest was in Middle School. During the last lunch period of the day, they would bring out all of the leftover food that hadn't sold and give it away to the kids. Now my older DS wouldn't eat if he wasn't hungry, but my younger DS Scott has always loved to eat, so when they brought out the extra food, he would always eat it, even after he had eaten a full lunch. And I think that is why he put on extra weight the year he had the last lunch period.

Thanks Elin, and please don't ever feel like you should leave me alone! Even when I don't post much, I love this group!

Dawn, I hope your brother gets some relief and that they are able to pinpoint the exact cause of the pain.
Thanks. He's having surgery today to remove his gallbladder.

Oh, please don't! Yesterday was our first day in months that we didn't have scheduled activities throughout the day. He got to play with Ramone all day so it worked out perfectly!

Ok gals, I need your input. This baby shower I am working on is becoming a major headache. My girlfriend that is helping me wants to change the location as right now it is outside at my aunt's house. She has this great backyard for parties. So because it is hot out (Hello it's JULY), my friend thinks we should have at the community room of her grandma's apt building. The room is free and we have it reserved. Why didn't she offer it when we were planning the shower? I talked to the girl we are having the shower for, she knows about the shower just not the theme, and she said she really didn't care. I think it is going to be a pain to get in contact with some of them as I mainly have email addresses and I can't guarantee that they will check them daily. So what do you all think? Keep it or Change it

Oh is that a new tag? ;)

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

On the way home Saturday we were talking DIS and I said I had a lame tag and no one noticed......of all the witty things I say :teeth: the tag fairy picked this one!!
