Ok - that's it. I give up (waving white surrender flag wildly...).

D fell yesterday morning at WDW on a wet sidewalk near ToT. Her knee is all gouged and all scraped up - but nothing broken, and doesn't *think* she needs stitches... Oy....

And DH is in the hospital and will be having heart surgery on Tuesday. Long story short, something bad started going on with his pacemaker/defibrillator last night and his docs need to deal with it asap. TB took the kids - bless her - overnight (thank God for her and Rannnnnnnn!...and great health insurance...and top hospitals nearby...and having my "box" friends to vent to...)

Wasn't I one of the ones on Friday looking forward to a tranquil weekend? That seems so long ago now... I'm sure all will be fine, eventually, but it's gonna be a very long week ahead -

Oh geez Pam. Seems like you are really having your share lately. Plus some. Hugs to all of you over there. Please let me known if I can help in anyway. Hang in there. My thoughts are with you. You have the very best medical in the country right near you.

List for today is:

1. Caffeine. (Caffeine of choice is Eight O'Clock coffee - Columbian blend)

2-10 is on hold until #1 is taken care of.

Have a great day everyone,

Michael

Pam, lots of , :wizard:, and prayers for you and your family. You've definitely had your share of "not good" happening lately.:hug::hug:

Pam, sweetie, lots of pixie dust for all of you!!! Let anyone of us know what you need and we will make it happen.. We've got enough great gals in your area we can get them to you and help in anyway! I'd already be there or have the kids so TB could be with you now.. Please keep us posted..and give DH a hug from all of us (or a squeeze of the hand might be best!)

Danica ~ take care of yourself... Keep antibiotic ointment on that knee.. if you see in signs of infection get to urgent care for some real antibiotics!!!!!!!!!

SIOH ~ hows our Blythe doing??

Everyone else, have a wonderful day...

Today:

Keep DH out from under my feet w/ chore list
Go to store and buy Duke (rabbit) tray for his cage: want to do this before he goes to the sitter while we are on vacation
grab salt for the water softner
finish my travel binder for Disney

go thru supplies one more time
pull coupons for tide/downey to take to Disney for the Blinks and us. (I need a clever family nickname!)

Today: DD can officially drive w/ others in the car... SAY MANY PRAYERS!!! I'll need them!!! She's a good driver... I just worry about the other distracted drivers.. you don't have to txt msg while driving.. it can wait...really it can..

Good Morning!

Hanging with PBF's kids - there is much fun going on in our house this morning. Rannnnn made waffles for the kids. I managed to have my coffee and breakfast in the gazebo on my new lounge chair, listening to the birdies chirping.

Rannnn is going with Pam to pick up her DH's bike at the bike store (so selfless of him;)) and pick up a few accessories that Dannnn requested. I can just see him lying in the hospital bed all hooked up to monitor and IVs telling Pam "Oh yeah, there a red jersey that I want - it's on the left hand side, as you walk in the door and there's a bike mirror - down towards the back on the right - middle shelf...":rotfl:

Today's list...

Work on some laundry (go hunt down laundry baskets that seem to disappear in the kids room - really how hard is it to but your folded laundry in the dresser?)
Do some weeding in the garden
Plant my Mother's day gifts - a honeysuckle and 2 double columbines
Stake the yellow rose bush (I planned in honour of my mom) it's about 7ft tall now
Clean up in the backyard - purge out some old toys
Rannn to mow and whipper snip the front lawn
Marinate the chicken for dinner (with grilled aspargus, zuchinni and Margaritas of course)
Move some indoor plants out to the gezebo for their summer vacation
Convince PBF to let me have the kids more often until her merry-go-round slows down a bit (kids love being here and my kids love having them - they really have a cousin like relationships)
Start the Margarita machine going as soon as it is socially acceptable (I say on a holiday weekend 1 pm seems good to me;))

'K that's enough of a list for today. Have a great day every one!

Oh yeah - we made grilled portabello burgers (marinated in olive oil, balsalmic vinegar and garlic) and they were FANTASTIC - I'll be making those again!

Pam HUGS, THOUGHTS and PRAYERS for you (maybe if I write it all in caps it will help send some of that bad juju away!!!!
Rhonda thank you from me for taking the kids.

Danica keep and eye on that knee.

Linda hang in there.....if I had the strength and energy I'd send it to you and Pam but I need to recharge before I can.

Dusting Blythe

Trying to stay awake till betime We stayed at friends camp last night UGH had a great time just didn't sleep well. and want a nap in the worst way. She thinks she needed me to "decorate" so i did.

PBF- Sending P&PD for your DH and for you too!

Z2H- Hope that knee is feeling better and doesn't slow you down too much!

Nothing exciting happening at my house today.
DS18 is doing job apps between naps...
DS21 (22 tomorrow) is at work...I still haven't seen him and the new car in the same place to get my tour...
DH is still at the beach. He tells me the boat is running great :sad2:

Now I'm off to make breakfast for my work buds for our holiday tomorrow... Spinach, Bacon and Cheese Crustless Quiche... Hashbrown casserole... Might as well eat good if we have to work...

Back from visiting DH at the hospital. He seems ok - it is just a waiting game now until the operation on Tuesday (we hope, and not Wednesday).

I'm SO tired, but now have too make the call to my FIL to tell him what's going on and play with the poor, neglected dog. The kids had a great time at TBs, and they were relieved to see DH for themselves and that he looked kinda the same (except the tubes, IVs, etc).

Thanks, everyone (again!) for your good wishes and prayers. We've certainly been using more than our share lately, but please, keep them coming...we've got a long way still to go.

Pam
hang in there wish i were closer. I'm glad the kids got to see him and know he's okay. How's D handling the fact she's not there?
Adding him to the prayer list. hang in there

Deb would love to work with you the food sounds delicious!

Wow! Dust to you Pam, and poor Danica! And dust to Lisa and MomE. What a DAY!

Pam, sending lots of prayers & pixie dust to all of you!!

Lisa--continued prayers and pixie dust to y'all as well!

Thank you all for the continued p & pd for precious Blythe!! She is doing well. She will have another scan tomorrow, but she got to have her PIC line taken out and all of her nourishment or "food" is coming solely from SIL's milk, pumped in through a little tube line. They were happy the PIC line came out because, evidently, there's a higher risk of infection with it? She is 2 oz away from 2 lbs, so she's fighting along!!

I am so grateful for all of my "friends in the box"!!

Brooke so glad to hear she's gaining and that the PIC is out. Will say an extra prayer to get wonderful news from the scan.

Ain't that the truth. This weekend certainly will be memorable.

This made me so da%$ happy, I cried.

Danica, I am so sorry about your injury. Did you have someone look at it? Be careful that is doesn't get infected.

Linda :hug: What an ordeal you are going thru. All that work of cleaning out the house and finding the right care for your MIL. You and Mr B are in my thoughts.

PBF, Pd to you and the little PBs. PD for PBF. He is in great care, make sure you eat and rest to take care of yourself too.

Rhonda, you are the best!!!
