The Current Disneyland Annual Pass Program Has Been Cancelled

and it's supposed to offer new perks.

How are they going to control the Downtown Disney Guests w or without passes And the needs of the on property Resort guests?
The central location is going to be worse than the current Crowding for Disney Springs.... the flow of pedestrian traffic at Downtown Disney is a necessity ... how will it be restricted Or balanced ?

Glad to know that experienced APs are writing in to express their views. Agree with GR on this: .
If you haven't already written to Disney about this, please do. This is especially important if there are disability concerns or other issues which they haven't addressed in the surveys. They can't address what they don't know, so make sure they know!
I just sent an email with my $.02. Basically, I asked for a Signature Plus type of replacement that didn't have blackout dates, included Maxpass, and made the ability to make reservations consistent with DVC owners who make reservations 11 months out. I don't want to be in a situation where we plan a trip to VGC for Christmas and I can't get park reservations 5 months later.

I would be shocked if hotel reservations didn’t come with guaranteed entry into the parks. This isn’t like Disney world, hotel guests make a tiny fraction of park guests and pay a hell of a premium for the perks that come with it. (No art of _____ value accommodations here)
If you are paying for on site at DLR, Disney wants your money, and they want you in the parks spending even more of it.

What are you talking about here?

I got an email today about the Legacy Passholder thing and basically now through Feb 25th there is a discount in DTD and BVS, which there has been for a while I believe!

I wouldn't expect much, to be honest. It will probably just be more "discounts" and "exclusive shopping opportunities" to make us spend more money while the parks stay closed.

I wasn’t expecting much. I’m just confused what my pass status is going to be now. Should I still be changing it, is this going to be split? Is the same info we got last week about being able to move to WDW still applicable without losing my Disneyland privileges? That’s the stuff that I’m trying to understand. I’m already planning a trip in summertime to Florida. So I can’t exactly sit on my laurels forever on this.

It's literally just going to be some discounts and access to special announcements and news here until the parks can open again. If you can switch to a WDW only pass, definitely do that. These "Legacy Passholder" perks won't have any actual value and will disappear once the parks reopen.

Not to worry. No risk of a $79.99 hotel guest onsite at DLR. Not even close!

As for length of stay, well, or course WDW is going to be longer. There are 4 parks and it's so large it takes longer to "see it all". But we've stayed onsite at DLR a number of times, often for a full week (also the length of our typical WDW trip). But one of the reasons trips are shorter at DLR is because Disney wants it that way. They made that clear when they started limiting their tickets to 5 days.

That 5 day limit on tickets was the reason we became AP holders. It cost less to convert to an AP than it did to add parkhopper days when we had hotels booked for 7 - 10 days at a time, 3-5 times per year. I would be thrilled if they offered a length-of-stay option in the new program. :)

The AP's were a great alternative, as long as you didn't have to travel in blackout season.

Who do we email about our concerns and opinions on the new AP program. If you can't post here, can you pm me. I got the survey, but for some reason, it never game me the portion that had all the options on it. Not sure why.

I would love to be able to email them about my preferences since I didn't get to do it in the survey.

Hey all, sorry if this has been answered. I did a quick scan through the thread and didn’t see anything.

How do we know if we’re legacy AP’s? I made my last payment on our Sig Plus passes on March 5 last year, then I just opted for them to not take payments any more. They just naturally expired in July. Does that mean I’m not a legacy holder as of March 14?

The blurb on the Disneyland website says I would need to show my AP for discounts, but the app isn’t showing them anymore. So, how could I show them? And, I didn’t get any email saying that I was a Legacy AP.

Thanks for any insight everyone.
