I've never tried French Onion Soup. Is it good? DH likes it.

I can imagine what your death certificate would say:
Place of death: Walt Disney World
Cause of death: Arteriosclerosis from french onion soup
Manner of death: Self-homicide :lmao:

MAN ALIVE look at that delicious goo!

::yes:: I skipped dessert that night, needless to say. :rotfl:

ETA: T&G, it's very good. It's strong, I'm guessing thanks to the beef bouillion (sp?), but very good. That's the most cheese I've ever seen them put in it.

I love it though. I've had it once per trip every trip except for maybe 2 times when we didn't eat at Chefs. First time I had it was in 1993. :cloud9:

What a way to go!!!;)

Nope. The last time I was at any park was over a year ago. Couldn't hardly ride anything; 5 months prego.
Although I will tell you that CA Adven has the best sourdough bread bowl with clam chowder in the world. :thumbsup2

Really? WHERE? I love clam chowder, and we'll be there in January. :) We'll be eating at the condo, mostly, but I'll make a point of getting some of that!

As for the food porn here, I was doing juuuuuuust fine right up until I saw those mashed potatoes and gravy. I'm a gravy slave. Man I really want some of that now. I think I've told you guys this before, but when I was pregnant with my oldest, when the hyperemesis finally subsided about month 5 or 6, I craved mashed potatoes and gravy from KFC all the time. Home made would NOT do. It was a 25 minute drive from my house to go get them...but I did it regularly. After awhile all the drive through people had it figured out, and nobody asked if I wanted any chicken with that anymore. :lmao: I could just picture them as I drove away from the speaker yelling "It's that pregnant lady again!"

This is how I am with my Mickey D's sweet tea. I too can imagine them saying "It's the 'large sweet tea with light ice' lady again!" every day. :rotfl:

And hey! We are almost at the end of yet ANOTHER thread. Title ideas for the next one?

Mashed potatoes and gravy..... cures EVERYTHING!!!!

A long time ago I had to realize that the way Zippa wanted things to be and the way God wants things to be are not always one and the same. It took me a while, but I'm cool with that now.
Not all conservatives are Christians, not by a long shot. And vice versa

Being a Christian, I think everyone should feel the love and blessings of God's grace and salvation. However, I'm not arrogant enough to believe that only Christians can be conservatives.

We have 33 days left!!!!!!!!:woohoo: :woohoo: And two months from today I start the WDW College Program.

We'll be there in May, if you let us know where you're at, I may swing by and say hi.

Any thoughts on this column by Michelle Malkin?

What was done to eHarmony makes me sick. It is getting harder and harder to try to live and let live. Everytime we turn around we have to allow or support or make concessions for __________ (insert group here) This was a private business, doing it's thing and no one was forcing this person to try to fit into the mold of this website. He had other options, he chose not to exercise them and make a stink. Honestly, is he going to sue a gym if he can't use the ladies locker room? It's not the only locker room available (unless it's a ladies gym............. ooohhhhhhh maybe he's going to sue one of those too.........) for him to use, he's just not allowed because of gender. Use something else and get over it. I walk away from things all the time because I don't think they're right for me.

Does this picture scare the poop out of anyone?

I opened that up and jumped like a foot and a half. I scared my blind kitty.

Hey gang, is it time for somebody to go start a new thread for us? I always forget what the upper limit is, but our post # is growing fast.

THe limit is 250 pages, so we have like 10 pages to go.

Hey y'all. I'm just curious if anyone knows what happened to the Obama thread? Not trying to start a fight or anything. I know some of ya hate when we come into your space, so I'm not trying to start anything. Just wondering where the thread went. Thanks!

I don't know what happened to the OO thread but there is a Liberal thread #3 and the For eight years thread. They may not have their usual stomping grounds but I think they have a place to go.

Speaking of places to go; I booked DD's birthday dinner at CRT today. She's excited that she gets to celebrate in WDW again. I wish they'd release the park sched and open the ADR system.

With that, I'd better get to bed. I've had a long day and tomorrow is busy. We're going to meet a few bunnies and maybe adopt one. We've been bun less for about 18 mos and we're ready to think about a new one.

Oh yeah, because some one asked earlier; it's been :cold: here today. They've said maybe snow for the last 2-3 days...... I can't wait until I can move back to FL.

large mocha chill, extra shot, no whip.

what's the limit on a thread...this didn't take very long.

"food for conservative thought"

250 pages, give or take.

I think we need to incorporate the bat signal into the title, as a little reminder to some of us where to go when it's time to back away from the keyboard.

Mashed potatoes and gravy..... cures EVERYTHING!!!!

Amen, sistah.

A candy buffet? That's a great idea!!! Your party sounds fun, I hope it goes well. I may have to steal(borrow) the candy buffet idea for a Nutcracker Tea I'm running.

What a neat idea...a candy buffet. I haven't heard of it before. What is a Nutcracker Tea?

For me, I find this to be so true. When you put total faith in other people, you're inevitably disappointed because we all are flawed due to being human. But God is always there and is perfect. :goodvibes

:goodvibes

;) That special is the main reason we're going in 2009, and the only reason we're staying in Wlilderness Lodge.

I'd love to stay there sometime...it is so beautiful there.

Yum!! Those taters and macaroni look yummy.

MeghansMommy- I hope your sister's doctor is able to find the right combo of medication. I feel so bad for her.

Someone asked about weather? It was pretty warm here today. I would love to have some snow here. Hey, I can dream, right? ;)

I feel like I can finally breathe a little easier now. I've had a lot of Chemistry homework these past few days. Not easy for this girl. I just don't seem to catch on as quickly as I use to, lol.

it's at the pacific wharf cafe at cal. adventure.

Is that the one up toward the front of the park, near the big shop with the sweatshirts and the toy store with the make your own potato head dolls?

Wherever it is...I'll find it. Thanks! Something else to look forward to!

My return favor is to tell you to come on over to Gig Harbor sometime when you have baby-free time, and have fish and chips at the Tides Tavern down on the water. OH baby. Steamers on the Tacoma side is close and baby friendly, but Tides is better.

*eta; if it's even necessary to say so...halibut, not cod. ;)

Michelle- You're coming down to Cali? Cool! Last July we drove up to Washington to see my brother. It was really neat! You live in a pretty state.

Thanks! :) It is beautiful here, you just have to keep in mind that rain forests are associated with...well...a lot of rain. :lmao: I'm continually amazed how many people move here and looooove all the beautiful greenery all year long but whine and moan and carry on incessantly about the rain. Cracks me up. What exactly do they think makes it so green here, for pity's sake? My husband is a New Yoahkah, and he hates it here. He says we have no seasons. Bunk. We have seasons! Not Too Rainy, Rainy, Rainier, and Seriously Snotty. :rotfl2:

Yup, we're coming down in mid January to meet my hubby when he comes home on leave. We'll be there a week. First time I've gotten to be at Disneyland for that long. My small kids and I came down in July with my sister. We were in Solvang for a week, then did a quickie day trip to Disneyland before turning around and coming back north. My sister thought I was completely out of my tree, but hey. I was in Southern California. How could I NOT go to Disneyland???

as you are walking into the park, pass the big sun sculpture/fountain, pass bug's life, then veer to the left...the tortilla factory and boudin sourdough place are there, and adjacent to the sourdough place is the restaurant.

Oh, January is a great month to visit. It can be a little unpredictable, but usually very nice. Of course anytime we get somewhat cool weather, I am absolutely thrilled. I honestly love the rain. We don't get very much of it here. We were so surprised when we were up there in Oregon and Washington and it rained...in the summer! We get sooo sick of the heat.
