All this and he is worried about a college football playoff!!!!!! This guy is a piece of work!

If this were Bush the PT would be all over it. I'm so glad H doesn't have anything better to worry about right now

So did we learn our lesson? Are you going to behave and not be so intolerable, mean and hateful? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

:surfweb: Carry on.

Yes we did.:rotfl: I forgot, we're the ones that are supposed to be meek and mild and not get mad at anything.

Sorry....I don't mean to be rude but, the only thing I want to see from BO...is a letter of resignation. Sorry....

i'd like to see the white house door hittin' him on the way out.
To both of those- AMEN!!! :thumbsup2 He's not even officially in yet and I already wish he was gone and back in Illinois where he belongs permanently!!!

Well that's kinda what I was thinkin'. Maybe H could focus his mighty brainpower on on other things - economy? national security?

I couldn't believe it. We were out at a restaurant tonight and I could see ESPN on one of the screens. They were showing BO and MO and their CBS interview.....ON ESPN! ![/B]

i sat through that interview last night. again, in seinfeld fashion, i'd like to say....i had the lobster bisque.

Oy. This is totally OT, but I was going through my mail and I have received yet another wedding invitation. That makes a minimum of four weddings I'll be at next year. :headache:

I love weddings, but the part I don't love is the inevitable "When are you getting married?" question, like 25 is some kind of old maid. Bah humbug. I'm an independent person. I always have been. I would like to get married and have children some day. But I get more than a little irked at the expectation that my life is supposedly to neatly fit into some people's perfect little chronological schemas. :sad2:

I am SO glad that he can solve the HUGE problem of a college football playoff;) , and Lord knows this was weighing so heavily on everyones mind right now.

Maybe then he could come over to my house and help me find the remote for the TV in the playroom.

people probably just want you to find all that happiness right away, and can't imagine you could ALSO be happy now.

by the way...isn't there a movie? um...four weddings......hugh grant...:scared1: good luck widdat!

Sorry Zip, but after moving I am still trying to find this, that or the other (aka crap) in one of the zillion stupid tubs in the basement. My "this, that or the other" trumps your TV remote. :snooty:

Well I'm heading out for the night.... 8:30am English Composition II class tomorrow. Y'all be good and I'll see everyone tomorrow!!

SD, I know exactly how you feel -- there's something about those mid-20s and that season of life when everyone around you gets married then thinks you too should be married. Stick to your guns - you're in no hurry, you have a great life, you love your life, and you know that God knows what is best, far better than you or any of your well-meaning friends do.

That being said - some strategies for combating this -- come up with some interesting answers to those intrusive questions .. 'I would get married but this would jeopardize my standing with the CIA - they're trying to save money, ya know and have you seen the price of background checks these days??? Not to mention two of them???' Folks on this board could come up with some far better 'reasons' why you aren't married yet -- I'm no match for their wit. The more far-fetched the reasons, the easier it will be to laugh then hastily change the subject to less annoying topics.

Then plan something really fun to do after those weddings -- if they involve a weekend out of town then plan something for the weekend after - something unique to what you love to do and with friends/family that you love. Looking forward to something will remind you that your life, as an unmarried person, is full of meaning and that, married or not, you have a dazzling future ahead of you. And one of my favorite things about not being married is that I get so many great opportunities to spend time with my friends, without the added complications of a husband or children.

This was on H&C tonight --

http://howobamagotelected.com/

a pollster asked OS some basic questions -- sadly, a large percentage of them didn't know things like which party was in charge of the House/Senate. Many of them knew the 'scandals' surrounding SP yet none seemed to know the scandals surrounding BO :sad2:

512 Obama Voters 11/13/08-11/15/08 MOE +/- 4.4 points

97.1% High School Graduate or higher, 55% College Graduates

Results to 12 simple Multiple Choice Questions

57.4% could NOT correctly say which party controls congress (50/50 shot just by guessing)

81.8% could NOT correctly say Joe Biden quit a previous campaign because of plagiarism (25% chance by guessing)

82.6% could NOT correctly say that Barack Obama won his first election by getting opponents kicked off the ballot (25% chance by guessing)

88.4% could NOT correctly say that Obama said his policies would likely bankrupt the coal industry and make energy rates skyrocket (25% chance by guessing)

56.1% could NOT correctly say Obama started his political career at the home of two former members of the Weather Underground (25% chance by guessing).

And yet.....

Only 13.7% failed to identify Sarah Palin as the person on which their party spent $150,000 in clothes

Only 6.2% failed to identify Palin as the one with a pregnant teenage daughter

And 86.9 % thought that Palin said that she could see Russia from her "house," even though that was Tina Fey who said that!!

Only 2.4% got at least 11 correct.

Only .5% got all of them correct. (And we "gave" one answer that was technically not Palin, but actually Tina Fey)

I am not Caucasian! I am Irish-Russian-Austrian-American, and insist you refer to me as such! I've never even BEEN to Caucasia!

Sorry.... I'm warming up for my fight against political correctness that I get in every year around Christmas- oops, that should be the "holiday season"! :p

I feel the need to correct you here. It's actually the non denominational/secular winter holiday season, if you please.
