Max: Max smiled then kept looking around. The view was still amazing.

River: River nodded "yes it was"

Toby: Toby continued looking around. Knowing they'd have to leave soon he wanted to take in the view.

Jack: "Okay, I have a question and since Toby's not around I won't feel like a complete idiot asking it. At parents night I saw you and him with parents and, well, are you and Toby related?" Jack asked as they entered the common room and turned to look at Alex waiting for an answer.

Alex: Alex laughed at Jack's question finding it nice that other people might see Toby and her as real family. "No, Toby and I aren't related by blood but I do consider him my best friend and a big brother. I met his parents at Parents night and we hit it off, I'm even staying the summer with them." Alex smiled the whole time speaking before the two went to their separate rooms.

Ella: " Okay," she said, a bit disappointed. They went to her room. She noticed that today's date was circled on Seremfa's calender. " Hey, what's that on your calender?"

Serefima: Serefima looked up and gaped. Her purse fell from her hand. Tears formed in her eyes. "Today already...?" She bit her lip. "T-today is the day my mother passed... And today would have been her birthday."

Ella: " I'm so sorry... My parents just sorta left me when they found out about my powers, so I've been an orphan for about a year."

Serefima: Serefima closed her eyes. She could remember the incident. "Drowned," she croaked. She wiped more tears. "That's why I despise water. I haven't swam since I was a little kid."

Ella: " Ohhhh..." She had a cousin who drowned once, and she had avoided pools ever since, too. Her family had done the same also.

River: River sighed "okay" she said clearly disappointed.

Max: "Thanks for hanging with me. You didn't have to," she said as the elevator went down.

Daniel: Daniel gave her a bittersweet smile as they walked back. "Next date is in Disney, if you want."

Ella: " Ohhhh..." She had a cousin who drowned once, and she had avoided pools ever since, too. Her family had done the same also.

Serefima: Serefima sighed and forced herself to stop crying. "She would be unhappy with me now," she admitted, sitting on her bed. "She said to never let anyone see you cry, always be strong." She fingered her fire necklace. "I don't think she even knew how hard that would be."

Ella: " I'm sure she would understand, especially under the circumstances. My cousin drowned, so I avoid the pool also..."

Serefima: "Yeah, guess so." She gave a smile. Why had she been crying? She should be celebrating her mother's life. She gave a smile. "She was always great, and always had advice for me. When she could, she would try and help me with my powers."

River: River felt her heart jump "of course, that sounds amazing."

Max: Max had to smile a little at that. The only people she knew for sure cared about her had been River, Daniel and Professor Collins. Her father was still on the fence, but was leaning towards cared at the moment.

Daniel: "Cool." He went back to the helicopter with her, which was waiting for them.
