The Coffee House

Sorry to hear about NC Beast's situation.

My cousin and her family was visiting but left today, so we are cleaning up and doing things around the house this week.

The annual calender exchange that I am heading is closing tomorrow so I will need to send out names. If anyone here is interested pm me your info. The sign-up thread is on the community board.

Hey everybody,

Just saying hello. Anyone want to have a coke with me?

I'll have a pepsi. How was everyones halloween? Is everyone getting started with their christmas shopping?

My Halloween was great. How was yours?

I've done a little shopping but most of mine will be in 30 days at WDW. :teeth:

:wave2:
We are getting for our Boston trip on Thursday. We had 0 trick-or-treaters yesterday. Most of our neighbor kids must have gone to the malls for the treats or one of the local churches. We had no trick or treaters since maybe 2001 (maybe 10 that year). We live in a quiet area among tobacco and cotton farms since 2002.

We tried dressing our dog up yesterday, but she was too hot in her neckerchief and minnie ears.

We had gone to my cousin's house for dinner and had gone trick-or-treating with a few other kids. My daughter now has a big full bag of candies, cookies, and other treats.
I had seen a house that was decorated with Christmas lights last night. I want to already put up my icicle lights, but will wait a couple more weeks.

Hi everyone, I'll have some Diet Coke Juice....

:bounce:

Sound's like fun. Sorry I haven't checked in much. NC Belle usually waits until Thanksgiving, but she may still be persuaded to put them up earlier. ;)

Hi there NC Beast. I'm trying to get things done around the house, and is going to make a Thanksgiving turkey craft with my daughter soon.
It's overcasted here, so maybe we will get into the garden today before it starts to rain.
Did anyone put out any Fall/Thanksgiving decorations around their house and are you ready for Thanksgiving? What is everyone planning on doing?

Not quite yet. We just got back from my sister-in-law's wedding up in Boston.

We hiked the freedom trail, saw the spot where John Kerry gave his concession speech and did tow of the Harvard Museums; the natural history museum and the Peabody Museum of Archaeology. Pretty cool. You'd love the Pacific Islands exhibit at the Peabody and the glass flowers in the natural hjstory museum. This exhibit has thousands of specimens made of glass with scientific accuracy.

Also, we got to visit my brother quite a bit and have lunch and dinner with him.

How was your weekend?

Sounds like you had gotten alot done during your trip.

My sister flew in on Thursday night since her friend was getting married on Saturday and she was part of the wedding party, so we attended that wedding.
Yesterday, we had gone to my DH's best friend's son's first birthday party. Shayla had alot of fun with the other kids and slept for an hour and a half all the way home.
We had a busy weekend doing this and that and we're just trying to catch up from it.
How is NC Belle doing?

Everyone else where are you?

Sure did. It was alot of fun. Boston is a pretty interesting city with lots of nice parks and stuff to walk around. It is a good people watching town.

NC Belle is doing fine. She's still in bed.

How was the wedding this weekend? It sounds like Shayla had a blast at the birthday party. :D

The wedding was nice. It was a garden type ceremony. It had rained during the reception, so we just dropped by and came home.
My daughter had a blast at the birthday party, and hitting-(I guess tapping) the pinata :p . She also enjoyed the birthday cake.

Pinatas are alot of fun. Did she get alot of candy?

No, there was money in there, so she had gotten 55 cents from that a cookie, and a couple of candies. We have so much candy from Halloween, that we didn't need more.
At that party, they were talking about Shayla's pinata and how it was. I had put in the stars with the prizes written on the back, so it had gotten both adults and children involved and till this day, it is a hit.
I think I will do that again in the future-maybe some adults are already expecting it-but it does cost way more to put a pinata together.
