"The Clapper"

Does anyone remember this? We had one when I was a teen. My parents got rid of it because it scared the crap out of us when the lights would go off and on on their own!

So - are these still made, does anyone know? My (lazy) kids would love these for their rooms.

(I'm in the stocking-stuffer stage of shopping now!)

I noticed The Clapper for $19.99 in this week's Walgreen's ad in Sunday's paper http://weeklyad.walgreens.com/walgr...le&storeid=2430340&rapid=210460&pagenumber=14 . It just jumped out at me for some reason. Guess I haven't seen them in a while, either.

I LOVE my clapper! It's in our bedroom so we can get all cozy in bed and don't have to move to shut the lights off. I can't live without it now!

My grandfather was stationed in the pacific after WWII and said the clapper is something you didn't wanna get.

I've always thought it must be funny to be in a house with a Clapper and watch whatever's plugged in go on and off when the commercial is on or when a show is on with an audience applauding. Probably doesn't work that way IRL, and it sounded a lot funnier in my head.

They still sell them. Sometimes late at night when Im watching tv they have the clapper commercials on. You can get them at CVS Rite Aid and places like that haha.
