So when I went to the preschool to pick up DS4 today, his teacher stopped me to talk. She said one boy's mother told her that her son was upset on the way home yesterday, saying that DS had pushed him.

The teacher had been watching them, and nothing had happened since they'd lined up and walked from the playground to the benches where they wait to be picked up. It's possible this happened earlier in the day, but the teacher didn't know why the child would be upset about it on the way home.

I don't know how the mother felt about it, if she was mildly concerned or very upset, the teacher didn't say. The teacher told me she "knows [DS'] heart and that he's a good boy, and she told the mother that.

I told the teacher that DS has been talking a lot about this boy, and he really seemed to like him a lot. When we came in to school the past two mornings, this boy has called out to DS to come join him. I thought they were becoming fast friends.

The teacher said that today as they were lining up to leave the playground, the boy tripped and fell. And then DS "fell" right on top of him, keeping the boy on the ground (I'm guessing in a playful way, not hurtful.) The teacher told DS that was not OK, because the boy had fallen and might have been hurt. She asked me to talk with DS about that on the way home and see what I could figure out.

I asked DS about that incident, and reiterated what the teacher said, that it was not OK to fall on top of the boy in case he was hurt (or getting hurt), and that it wasn't OK to push. He said he pushed the boy because the boy spit on him. I asked when, because the boy must have been facing away from him at the time, and then it sounded like the spitting happened much earlier, and occurred when the boys were talking and maybe the boy accidently spit while excitedly talking.

I reminded DS that it was not OK to spit on purpose. It was not OK to push. And if he's having a problem with someone, he should tell his teacher. He then informed me that he "didn't like that boy, because he has bad breath." :lmao:

So here's hoping some little grain of that wisdom got through to his pea-brain... :sad2:

OK, I need to go find something to make/zap for dinner. I was planning on shake & bake pork chops, but it's a tad too warm to turn the oven on today. So.....

Maybe leftovers again. Yeah, I have more leftover chicken, and one package of ramen noodles... They love that!

See ya later, girlies!

Megan, so glad to hear all is well in babies' land. It's always good to be more careful than not. Sounds like you have a very good and cautious doctor. Keep taking care!

Alex, aren't you happy that you went and talked to your DS's teacher? So glad that it sounds like she might work out after all. :goodvibes Hopefully, this will continue throughout the year. :thumbsup2

Dave just called and said there were 2 huge earthquakes in the Far East. One in Indonesia, and one in Japan!! 7 or so on the Richter scale! :scared1:

It's sad day in the DL forum!:sad1:

Hydroguy is getting attacked for writing his TIPs compilation thread.

There are some who think he doesn't know what he is talking about, cuz he doesn't go to DL as much as they do. :snooty:

Don't they realize all of the hours he has put into it? I'd like to see some of them take the time and do a spreadsheet on DL.

And he has never said it was gospel. It is just suppose to help the posters who have never been to DL.

I am upset! :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

Premature birth is scary, BUT the neonatology field has made tremendous strides... just 5 years ago my lil miracle nephew would not have been treated due to his size (one pound, one ounce) and gestational age (22 weeks, 5 days). He was fortunate to be born at a hospital specializing in high risk pregnanacies and an awesome NICU next door.. many hospitals won't treat if less than 24 weeks. .Of course survival and less risk of disability is better each week of gestation.
I know my sis was upset that he didn't make that 24 week mark (survival odds make big leap at 24 weeks and up) , but he's a fighter. :goodvibes

Speaking of the lil guy.... he's been having issues with toe walking, lots of physical therapy helped but still issues. He had his legs casted last week, he will have a new cast put on for the next 4 to 6 weeks. The cast will encourage the tendon to stretch and hopefully break the habit. After that he will have orthotics.. if this doesn't work then he will need surgery, hopefully early intervention should make a difference.

Interestingly, my brother had casts/metal foot plate braces as a toddler and eventually surgery to lengthen his tendon at preschool age. Wore special shoes until he was in middle school.
His was a turned in foot.. pigeon toed.

Anyway, my sis has been scouting around to find PJs that fit over his cast and treaded socks to cover his toes and let him walk inside. We laughed over how heavy he is now with casts... good thing he's a lil shrimp or she wouldn't be able to lift him :lmao: Not to mention he still can fit in baby clothes with snap legs.. if he was closer to a typical size kid it would be impossible to dress him without cutting pant legs. (He will be 3 in January, wears 18 mos clothes)

hmm, haven't read the DL boards for awhile. I'm trying not to think of DL too much, I really can't afford a trip .. thus anything related to DL is out of sight, out of mind at this time. Makes me less sad about that way  \

But it is sad that people would pick on someone trying to be helpful. Isn't that the whole point of the DL thread but to help people plan trips??

:guilty: People are so grumbly lately.. I've noticed a few threads on community board that are outright mean , pointless discussions to bait people into arguing.

Im BACK! From the store. My life is ever so exciting right now. :lmao: My kids are sitting on the couch eating donuts. YEP. Thats right. I said it.... My kids are sitting on the COUCH, eating DONUTS. They might as well have something yummy, even though I cant.

So.... funny story. We went to Taco Del Mar the other day and the woman was taking FOREVER. Really... She was SO SLOW. I was hungry. VERY HUNGRY. You know.... angry pregnant hungry. :lmao: I was getting SO MAD at this woman, my husband was ACTUALLY holding me back from jumping over the counter. :lmao: And he didnt even bat an eye. Now THATS why I married him. :rotfl2: When I flip out on the taco lady, he just nods and smiles... and holds me back. :lmao:
