for some people its not that it is a small amount, its that it can take some time to get that refund..and how do they pay pills and or eat while waiting...;)

I was wondering about that too. Just the stress of the thing is enough to freak people out and get nervous about any financial decisions.

our financial future took a swim in the toilet today...and they say well in 10-20 years...uhhhh...hello, what about what I lost today...

I know. My mom is freaking out.. She has lost a lot of money out of her TSP, and other accounts.. My sister is just buggin about the whole thing. I dont understand what is happening enough to freak out about it. We dont have any money... Im sure our 401K is probably looking kinda small today.. But what I worry most about is Frelan losing his job.

our money is worth nothing...in another country we will be lucky if it will buy us a pack of gum....

if the financial market falls...jobs will fall...more jobs than we all care to think of...what will everyone do?? its a scarry thought..

we can't unload our stocks now...we will just have to sit on them and pray they will worth the paper they are printed on...

I don't like the buy out, loan whatever its going to be called...but I do see it is necessary...

I agree. And at first I was ticked that a deal was nearly reached and then people pulled a stunt proposing a last-minute deal instead of the one agreed upon... but I cannot believe a bail-out would include paying execs massive sums of money, WTH??? And several other things they objected to!

Fine, do a bail-out, a loan, whatever, but those who profited from the crazy lending practices should also have to pay the consequences of their actions.

I also can't help but think they should have to forget the fees they have tried charging people for getting upside down on their loans and behind because THE EDUCATED IDIOTS were greedy...I do not think the money should just be handed to them, it should be watched closely...they did it, so why should they still live like kings while the rest of us clean up THEIR mess...

Pix, what is that even supposed to mean??? Is he being creepy??? :scared1:

craptistically spectacular world we live in :thumbsup2

now let's all make stinky smileys in the poo :upsidedow

Maybe because everyone is feeling the pinch-- that's why hubby is not freaked that we are poor as mice . :confused3 He's been so mellow about it all, then again.. he has job security as a sub in a huge district :rotfl:

Our neighbor friend was a temp to hire, the boss walked up and said
"You're done after today"

huh?? He had been there for almost three months, good worker.. they just don't have enough to keep everyone going.

We congratualted him and said "welcome to being broke like us" :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
