The castle is SMALL!

When walking through the castle at DL, I found myself instinctively hunched over for fear I may hit my head on the low ceilings!

P.S. or walking like Gulliver through Lilliput
Okay, we got it. And the ceilings aren't that low.

Or Hagrid walking through the door of the Leaky Cauldron....(I got a million of 'em!)

P.S. The reverse is true of It's A Small World. the DL version DWARFS the WDW one!

I missed the curros at WDW. I saw a couple of vendors but not the same kind that put the sugar on right there and with different flavors. I guess I will have to go to DL to get my fix.;)

Okay, okay, so our castle is smaller but it is the FIRST and ORIGINAL :teeth:

As for places to eat ... the corn dog cart (red truck actually) is at the end of Main Street to your right, and they are good (hand dipped, not preprocessed/frozen ones) ... Pizza Port is "usually" good although I haven't had the garllic bread experience ... Rancho de Zocalo replaced Casa Mexicana, we actually like Rancho de Zocalo (has BBQ and Mexcian food choices) ... French Market is usually good although the menu changes a couple of times a year (at least) so I cannot guarantee what choice you'll have when/if you come out here ... Carnation Garden (on Main St half way down on your left) is usually pretty good, but it's small so the wait can back up real quick once all of the tables are taken ... in DCA the hot dog place is in the Hollywood Backlot (Award Weiners), there's also Taste Pilot's Grill in Condor Flats (right next to Soarin' Over CA) ... I personally don't like Ariel's Grotto but that's definitely a personal bias, I've heard other people extoll it's virtues  ... on the Pacific Wharf are a couple of decent places like the Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill and the Pacific Wharf Cafe ... and we really like the Wine Country Trattoria (basically Italian).

Oh yes, I forgot to mention another good food place at DL. Forgive me if this has already been mentioned, but Bengal Barbeque in Adventureland has some really great food also. They serve a few different kinds of skewers, like chicken or beef with different kinds of sauces. Good stuff!

Exactly. And what is the preoccupation with size anyway? Bigger is not always better.

Sleeping Beauty (Disneylands) Castle does its job. I dont' think it was every designed to be seen from everyway/anywhere in the park. In fact, if I remember right, each "land" was to be it own unique place. Being able to see a castle from Frontierland or Adventureland just wouldn't be right.

I think we need to hear from someone who has been to Paris. Tell us what that castle is like!

And now I am really hurting for the corn dogs!!! You know, they are one of those foods you can smell and taste in your mind. Anyone else know what I am talking about? :)

I can't compere it to the California one until October but I think it is the most beautiful of all the Disney Castles - a real fairytale castle (which apparently is the point as us Europeans see real castles on a daily basis)

Can't you just look at pictures?

I haven't seen it in person yet, but it is definitely my favorite castle of all. It is big and it actually looks good (unlike Cindy, IMO).
