I was looking forward to seeing this on FOX last night. It is from Mark Burnett who created Survivor. As I was watching it I could'nt help but think that this stuff was way to contrived to be "reality".

Especially when the high roller came into town. The moment he checkied into the hotel it put everyone on alert, but HELLO there was a camera crew following him from the time he landed at the airport - how did you not know he was coming to the casino. And him picking up the cross-dresser!!

And do you think they would bring Andre Agassi in for a meeting without knowing that he was going to agree to be a part of it.

And the lounge singer/entertainment manager tiff. Puh-lease.

I was disappointed.

Anyone else?

I was sitting thinking this morning that I am not sure how I feel about it or whether or not I will watch it again next week. I thought it was too lude at times for me - I am NOT that old either - and too, I don't know, shall we say - STUPID!. I watched it through and did enjoy the typical Mark Burnett style of the show, but it was more forced and totally fake than anything he has creted previously. I liked how they followed the owners, but the whole marked player thing was absolutely ridiculous. Do you know how many marked players walk in to a casino daily - the owners are not brought in on it - the floor managers and pit bosses take care of it.

I think my jury is still out - if next week its up against what it was up against last night - NOTHING - you might find me glued to it again out of boredom.

I really liked Monster House last night.

DH had this on last night, so I only caught bits of it, but from what I saw, honestly, I thought it was stupid. Sorry to any who liked it. We both thought w/ Mark Brunette, it'd be better.

To be honest, I really and truly am getting sick of "reality tv"!!!

We were SO disappointed. :( The other one on the Discovery Channel is much better. It takes place at the Green Valley Ranch and its much more real. Sort of like Airplane (Southwest's show). I don't know if we'll watch it again. It was so obviously staged. Nothing was realistic. They even used the same 3 girls in 2 separate scenes. One with the party upstairs and one with "Chuck - the High Roller." DH recognized one girl in the party scene from another Vegas reality show he had watched awhile back about single girls in Vegas. I don't remember the name of the show.

This show really reminded us of the Restaurant show which we didnt like. On the restaurant it was well known that the waiters and waitresses were hired by the producers and different story lines were set up. This show has that same feeling. Dont care if I see it again. The other show American Casino is MUCH better.

I caught that too! One of the gals at the "virgin's" party was sitting with Mr. High Roller. And if this all was so "real", how come cameras were in the bathroom with him and the "gal" filming it all? Thought overall it was pretty lame. I was hoping for better.

Glad it wasn't just me. And I laughed out loud when the owners were casually walking doen the hall and listening at the door at the Frat Boys party - OMG it was so cheesy.

Count me in as completely disappointed. They definitely "Fox"ed up this show--so much of it was so contrived, it was ridiculous. And, to be frank, a complete yawn. Although I have been amusing my best friend all day by duplicating Chuck's (the "high roller") laugh. Ah-heh-heeeee....

American Casino on Discovery Channel is so much better. It's actually INTERESTING! I'm really enjoying that series.
