Saw the touring productions of "Million Dollar Quartet" this week. Good show, great music. A little thin on plot, but you can't beat the songs.
Interesting demographics, though. We took our kids, and they were easily the youngest people there. In fact, DH and I were probably younger than most of the audience!
I would say they were mostly 50 - 70 year olds! Easily the oldest crowd I've ever seen for a musical!
On another note, our kids were on Spring Break this year, and our friends took their son to Broadway, where they saw 5 shows in 5 1/2 days!!!
Here's what they saw: Newies, Spiderman Turn Off The Dark, Book of Mormon, Peter and the Starcatcher, and Avenue Q, which they saw last, and liked the most!
I saw Million Dollar Quartet last night. I agree with you about the show but I just love the music and I thought all of the guys were great at their parts. I noticed the same thing about the crowd but I guess that is the main demographic for that music.
I'm so jealous of your friend. I've seen Book of Mormon here but I really want to see Newsies and Peter and the Starcatchers.
I can't wait for April 1st to find out what is going to be here next season. Are you going to Rock of Ages?
