Hello to all in Botville and the neighboring Slackersville!.
I returned from Disney with a crispy type sunburn, hours and hours of sleep to catch up on and a feeling that it went all too quickly. Pretty much par for the course.

It was great spending time with Jen and going to the Magic Kingdom on Saturday. We were there for the Fireworks which were amazing. The park was so crowded that they shut down Main Street to all pedestrian traffic and sent everyone backstage near the Buzz Lightyear ride and out near Exposition Hall near the front of the park (the other end of Main Street). They had cones set up and CM's herding people all over back there. They even had consessions set up and allowed people to lay blankets (backstage) to watch fireworks. The view must have been nice looking out over the Ryder Trucks parked up next to the backs of the buildings along Main Street.

We thought that Walt Disney must be turning over in his grave. We walked through, then up Main Street and cut in under the ropes and weaved our way through the crowd to get a good view of the fireworks. The mass of bodies, noise, heat, etc. was more than I wanted to take in. However, we endured. We left during a mass exodus after the 12 to 15 minute fireworks (around 9:20 PM) despite the park being open to 1 AM that night. We managed to get to the TTC via monorail and to our car in Daisy 28 in 45 minutes. Not too bad considering.
I took running clothes, but did not have the time or energy to run in the almost blistering heat and humidity. However, I ran tonight 4 miles according to my training plan.
