I know you can walk to epcot very easily but what about in the early morning when only future world is open. Do you use the same entrance and walk through the country's or is there another way to get in.

Thanks

Kathy

Kathy, Yup, no problem. When we have done so they let us in 5 min. prior to park opening. We were able to just beat the front gate crowd who were being ushered in by CMs on segways. We grabbed 2 FP to MS and 2 for TT (there were 4 of us). We all rode TT together, then DS and I used FP to ride again (no wait) and DH and DD went to MS. Did all that is around 30 min. But have read some posts that say they did not get in 5 min. early so maybe it depends on the CM at the gate? :confused3

It is a pleasant walk thru WS in the morning! :sunny:

We stayed at the BWI in January, 2003 and had a great water view room that overlooked the BW. We will be going to WDW again in August and I would like to stay at BWI again in a water view room (which, without a code, is 75$ more per night than standard view).

I do not mind (too much) paying the extra amount if I am guarantied a BW view, but would be REALLY ANGRY :badpc: :badpc: if my extra money only got me a view of a pool. Does anyone know for sure that all WV rooms at the BWI overlook the BW? If not, how many rooms do not?

Thanks! :earseek: :earseek:

I think that they also consider the rooms overlooking the quiet pool as WV. Be specific and ask for a BW view when booking.

I was just looking into the Boardwalk in and was wondering if it is true that you pay $6.00 a day for parking? Do you pay it at check in or check out? Also wondering if you can park your self ? Sorry if this sounds silly. Just wondering. Thanks!

That is for valet parking, self parking is free. DVC members can valet for free.

What times can you get soda with your mugs. Does the Bakery have soda there also, I figure they open early. Thought some good caffeine before the parks is good. Also how late can you get it at the seashor sweets or spoodles pizza counter...How about the Belle Vue lounge. Just trying to see if it is worth it since we are at the parks during the day and would only use it in the AM and Late PM...we are going in June and our late owls.

Thanks

Hi there! I am just checking out your thread and of course cannot read and digest all the info, so I just wanna throw out some questions to ya, if that's ok....

I know this thread is dedicated to the INN...but is there a ton of difference in the info? I mean, I understand the rooms are different, but do the Villas share a lobby with the Inn? Is everything available to the Inn within walking distance of the Villas?

We will be renting points and staying during the week in may. I have only been to the actual boardwalk one time. It was quite awhile ago, so I cannot get my bearings straight and picture where everything is. I would love to see a map, and I went on Deb's site, but the map is small and I could not read it!

I am especially looking forward to the lounge area in the hotel...it looks cozy. Any experiences there from anyone?

This is going to be an anniversary trip for DH and I...we are leaving our DD behind (shhh, don't tell her!) So I would like to know what kind of grown up activities we should look for.
Thanks for any and all input!

OK, I read all 13 pages of this thread, thanks for all the information! I have one question that I either missed the answer to or it was never asked. We are staying in a concierge room in August, is the Innkeepers Club open all the time, or just when they are serving food etc. When we stayed at the Poly concierge, the lounge was always open for us to grab a drink or sit and relax, is it the same at BWI? Thanks!

The lounge is open all the time. It does close at 10pm for the night though. You are going to love it there! The cast are so wonderful. They have become good friends of our family and we love returning every year.

The lobby is in the middle of the 2 sides. See this map. Inn on the left, Villas on the right. The main pool is closer to the villas.

Hi everyone. I thought I would drop by an ask the BWI lovers a transportation question.

We are staying at the WL in November, but would like to enjoy some of the restaurants and entertainment at the BW. Since they did away with the WL to TTC bus it limits some of the transportation options from the WL. Does it make sense to take the bus from the WL to MGM and then take the boat over to BWI? And do the same to get back to the WL? And doing this of course when MGM is still open :earsboy:

You could take a bus to Epcot and then walk out the world showcase entrance to the Boardwalk. Any other ideas? Why did they eliminate the bus to the TTC? That makes it really tough to get to other resorts!

That can be a long walk when you are tired, from the front of Epcot to the International Gateway. Have done that once. :faint:

Personally I would take a cab one way. Usually when going resort to resort we have done that. Costs about $10-12. But I don't thing it would be too bad to take the bus to MGM and boat to BW.

:)

They eliminated all the resort buses to and from TTC.

From the WL they added a bus to MK (only boat access before). From MK you can get most everywhere. I guess I could do that to get to the BW but I'm don't want to have to go through MK to get back in the evening.

Walking through EPCOT with the kids is a little too far. Just looking for another option to get to BW from WL and thought the bus to MGM then boat ride to BW might work out ok.

And I know this logic is a little backward after spending thousands of $'s on a Disney vacation...but I really hate to spend more money paying for a cab.

I know what you mean about the extra money for a cab but we usually do it one way and with kids we find it worth it to save the hassel. Too bad about the bus being eliminated. Seems they could find a better way to provide resort to resort transport!

I think you are right, then, the bus to MGM and then the boat to the Boardwalk is your best option

Hey everyone!

We're headed to the BoardWalk Villas in July. We were wondering what groceries are available at the Screen Door General Store and just how pricey are they? We want to have some food available in our room, but as a money saving type of thing...so if it's too expensive in the store, that really wouldn't be the greatest plan.

Thanks so much!
