There isn't anything bad I can say about the Deluxe Room itself. However the only negative is the price. Obviously it will be more expensive then a Standard Club Level Room, although for my families dates this coming August it was $1700 more and that's with the 35% Bounceback rate.
I know you can get the 40% Militarty discounts for the Deluxe Resorts, but I would imagine the cost would still be the same when you factor in the total price after the discount.
Like I said before when reserving the Deluxe Room you take a chance of not staying on the 4th floor because you can end up on the 3rd floor, where as that doesn't happen with their Standard Club Level Rooms.
Finally they are also hard to reserve since they have a total of 10 Deluxe Rooms.
I posted yesterday that the Deluxe is available and would only be $75 more (before tax) per night for us.
I know that 5 rooms are on the 3rd and 5 are on the 4th, but I guess I still didn't understand (or I forgot) that other guests on other floors can gain access to the lounge so easily since it doesn't require a KTTW card either in the door or the elevator. I remembered about the elevator, but didn't recall there were stairs that are unlocked that anyone can get to the 4th floor and therefore the lounge, so easily. I can't think of another CL at WDW that doesn't require a KTTW card to either access the CL floor or the lounge. I understand that CL at BWI was an afterthought, so that explains the difference from all other resorts. But, I still don't understand why that "Innkeeper's door" doesn't require a KTTW card to get to the rooms and lounge

. I'm not real happy about that and I know DH won't like that
Actually that's something I asked one of their Club Level Cast Members. Obviously the guests who would use the stairs from the 3rd floor to the 4th floor on the Club Level side of the hallway are those staying in the Deluxe Rooms on the 3rd floor. Now there is also a sign when you reach the door on the 4th floor saying access for Innkeeper's Club guests only. Although it's not open with a KTTW card so your right what's to stop anyone from going to the lounge that way if they don't stay Club Level? Well the Cast Member said they can tell who is staying Club Level and they can also ask what room those people are staying in.
Well, the CL CMs aren't on duty 24 hours a day, so there is no way they always monitor who is going through that door and/or into the lounge at all hours of the day. And, even when they do notice that someone is in the lounge who isn't a CL guest, they still don't seem to do anything about it.
Then ask those same ones what happened this last July when people from Principal Financial had one person staying and 8 people up in the lounge one evening. One guy was on his cell phone telling people they had a hospitality bar with food. Some of the cast members were not happy. Unfortunately they were told they could not cause problems that evening. The next day they sent a memo notifying the group it was not allowed again. There are always going to be people that try it unfortunately. I guess we have seen it both ways
Your experience reminds me of something that happened at the CR's Atrium Club.
BWIF4L told the story about a large group of non-CL "guests" being invited up by one CL guest one night for apps. and drinks. I believe he said that he (or his parents?) asked why it was allowed and the lounge CMs said that they were not allowed to say anything to the CL guest who invited many non-CL guests to the lounge, unless it happens a second time. I believe
BWIF4L said that the next day there was a sign up stating that only CL guests could use the lounge. Of course,
BWIF4L can relay his own story more accurately than I can!

That would make me cringe. I think I would have went to the FRONT DESK to complain about how these unwanted people ruined it for all the paying guest, and made a huge mess! UGH!!
Have you ever stayed at the Yacht Club? We stayed there in 2010 and it was GREAT! We had the bay view and the pool there is spectacular. Anyway, it's just a suggestion. We find it really nice and some what quiet (the Yacht Club that is). It's really close to the Swan and Dolphin. Those two resorts have great restaurants (Shula's and an Italian place). Both of these restaurants offer coupons on restaurant dot com also.
You and me both would be heading down to the BWI GM's office looking like this

, if the CL CMs refuse to do anything about it. Why should we be paying for non-CL guests to enjoy CL amenities? This kind of stuff is what ends up raising prices and makes for disgruntled CMs and CL guests.
I stayed at the Regatta Club 8/10, too. I have to admit that it was very nice and I asked for a room w/o a connecting door, in a quiet location and I did get just that. We were next to a suite at the end of a hall so it was very quiet. However, I booked a GV and they upgraded us to WV so the balcony overlooked SAB which was VERY noisy. I would have preferred the GV I actually booked or of course, a straight on Crescent Lake view would be perfect! The room was very clean and nice and the lounge staff went out of their way to get Sprite Zero for me. When I asked if they had any and they didn't, later that day, a 12-pack was waiting for me in our room - very nice of them.
My only legitimate complaint about the YC is the fact that the lounge, at peak times, can be too small for the number of guests on the 5th floor and the suites on other floors. Obviously, that isn't the CMs fault and I thought they did the best they could to clear tables quickly and replenish food, but they can only move so fast. So it can be difficult, especially at peak times like early breakfast, to get a table and we don't like to bring food back to our room.
But, I have to come clean and admit that I only stayed one night at the YC. We were booked for 8, but DH was deployed and his favorite resort at that time was CR (now it's WL/CL) so I really missed it and ended up switching to the CR. DD loved the YC and I really can't say anything bad about it.
GREAT photos pixarmom!!
I think seeing Wishes over the Beach Club is one of the bigger secrets of the Boardwalk. It seems that nobody knows about it, including us until we actually stayed there!
For the noise, we were above Seashore Sweets, and didn't hear a peep late at night. No drunks passed out.

but our room was not behind the magic door.
On the Villa side we had a room literally up against Jellyrolls (like a shared wall), and in the one we did have some noise issues, but we couldn't tell if it was from JR or Atlantic Dance next door. I think it was the latter actually.
Does the Villa Side have any CL rooms or are all the CL rooms over on the Seashore Sweets side?
Does anyone know if the Deluxe rooms have larger balconies than the STD CL rooms have like at the BC and WL, for example?
