Got through to the WDTC and I didn't even get put on hold:thumbsup2

We are booked for our 25th anniversary July-August trip at WL/CL the first three nights. Then BWI/CL for five nights (I requested garden/Epcot view). And the grand finale is five nights at the GF in a Deluxe Queen Room Main Bldg./RPC:goodvibes.

BWI and GF will be new to us and we're very excited. Can't wait to get our Disney Destinations Email:hyper:

Glad you got your trip booked :goodvibes. I think you will love GF RPC.....glad you decided to give it a try. I think you picked 3 great resorts to split your time between. I can't wait to give BWI CL a try one of these days :wizard:.

Congratulations on finally getting to stay Club Level at the Boardwalk Inn and I hope you enjoy it just as much as I have.

Since you were writing earlier about running...of course , you know the running at WL is decent, using the path to Fort Wilderness. The running at BWI is wonderful. The running at GF is horrible--the path to Poly and around Poly, and the pavement is rough on the knees.

Get your runs in before you check in at GF.

Thanks! I know you love(d?) the CR as much as me, so if you love BWI, I'm sure we will, too.

I'm glad you approve:). It took me quite a long time to figure it all out, so I hope I've (finally) made the right choices.

Well, we jog pretty much everyday so we can't miss five days, but in the past when we've stayed at the poly, we've run to the TTC's parking lot. Plenty of room there and it's empty in the morning. We can also use the treadmills at the GF - if they aren't all taken - since we need to go there anyway to use the weights. We actually love the Sturdy Branches at the WL and find that jogging indoors in FL in the summer is actually more pleasant since the humidity is so high. But, that BWI-DHS-CL route can't be missed - alligators and all!

One thing you should know in advance there is one Standard Club Level Room that's located just before the Innkeepers Club door which takes you into the hallway where their lounge and Club Level rooms are located. It's room #4261 and it's located in a little corner with two other rooms, so I am not sure why it's a Club Level room to begin with. However it's view is of the Boardwalk and since you requested the Garden/Epcot view chances are you won't end up with it.

Also speaking of that door which says Innkeepers Club that's where you would insert your Key To The World cards for it to open, so you can get back to your room and to the lounge. The 4th floor is where your room and lounge will be located and it also has non Club Level rooms on that floors, so it's not the same set up like when you stayed Club Level at the Contemporary where their 12th floor was 100% Club Level. So that's the reason for this door which I am talking about.

WDWKOOK,
Here is a picture of the door which takes you into Club Level hallway section of the 4th floor.

Thank you! Where are you staying for your Spring Break trip?

We were booked at POR with free dining, but we decided to cancel (I just haven't gotten rid of my ticker yet :rolleyes1). With it being peak season, the rates for the deluxe resorts are crazy :scared1:.....so we thought POR would be a good choice, but we love the deluxes and I just can't get excited about POR. I have read many great reviews about it and I'm sure it's a wonderful resort, but I just can't get into it. It's ok though because it makes July more exciting and I know I will stay somewhere I really love :goodvibes.

Gee, I did not know this. Thank you. So the CL floor is not an exclusive floor like at the CR, WL and YC? When they showed us a room, I had asked to see a CL room, and when we were taken to the fifth floor, I thought that was the CL floor. So the lounge is on the 4th floor and does not have keyed access from the elevator? Only the lounge has keyed access? What's on the 5th floor then? I'm confused!

That makes perfect sense to me. I suppose if you got a POR room that had the new queen beds that might be better, but I understand completely wanting to stay with the convenience and larger room size of a Deluxe resort. Those peak rates are also troublesome because discounts can't usually be applied and personally, I won't ever go without a big one. July will be here before you know it - that's when we'll be there again!

You're welcome and yes they don't have an exclusive Club Level floor like the Contemporary, Wilderness Lodge and Yacht Club. Only part of the 4th floor is Club Level. As for the 5th floor it's nothing more then other Standard Rooms and that's it.

So just the lounge part is where you use your gold key?? only the food/snacks/drinks are behind those doors??
Still looking forward to trying BWI DLX Room....not switching, but am curious how it works :)

If you didn't see this on the previous page here is a picture of the door on the 4th floor which take you into hallway section for the Club Level rooms and where the lounge is located. Basically this is where you would insert your KTTW cards for it to open, so you can get back to your room and the lounge.

Yes, I saw that on the other page...I just didn't quite get it, but I think I do now.....at first, I thought maybe the rooms where OUTSIDE that door and that door only took you to the club lounge....now I understand that I insert my KTTW card into that door(leads to the private CL rooms/ lounge area and it takes me to my room/ or the lounge....only CL guests have access beyond that door :confused3 :) Think I got it!, guess I'll know in October :goodvibes

chimo2u,
If you got a Deluxe Room on the 3rd floor then you can take that set of stairs located by your room when going to the 4th floor and the door which opens to it is not accessed by your KTTW cards.

Now the door that opens to the 4th floor from those set of stairs has a sign saying access is for Innkeepers Club guests only, so that's the only difference compared to the door in that picture I posted.

ahh, I see....:goodvibes but if I get a deluxe room on the 4th floor as I requested, then I will be behind the locked inkeeper door??

That's exactly correct.

Yes your room would be located behind that door if you stay on the 4th floor.

This is odd to me (not your fault!):

Usually the CLs are on the top floor (5th in this case) and usually (always?) the lounge floor has keyed access from the elevators. You've given me something to think about. We really prefer the CLs with exclusive access to the floor. Just a personal preference. What percentage of the rooms on the 4th floor would you estimate are for non-CL guests?

ETA: Just read your responses above. So the rooms are also behind the door, not just the lounge, but you don't use your room key in the elevator?

With the exception of room #4261 all the other rooms located on the 4th floor are non Club Level rooms, so those would be anyone before the Innkeepers Club door.

Now if it helps there would be less non Club Level rooms located on the right hand side of the hallway before the Innkeepers Club door, since that's the direction you will need to walk to access the Club Level section.

That is correct and since you reserved a Standard Club Level Room you are guaranteed to get a room behind that door.

OK then, as long as our STD CL room is behind the keyed access door then that's all that matters. Phew. Thanks for your patience with my confusion!
