Also, are there CL rooms over the ESPN Club? Is noise ever an issue for these rooms on the 4th floor? Does anyone know which 4th floor CL rooms that face the courtyard would not have a connecting door? I'm trying to picture where these rooms might be and I can't find a room number map like DisneyZone has for the BC/YC.
During my previous BWI CL stays with the Deluxe Rooms I stayed was in 3229 and 4225 which were right over the Boardwalk Bakery and close to the ESPN Club. The only Standard Room I stayed in was in 4223 which just over the Boardwalk Bakery roof and to the right side of the ESPN Club, however there wasn't any noise coming from there. In fact in December 2010 while I was in room 4223 I heard the announcement of the College Football players coming into Atlantic Dance Hall for the Home Depot College Football Awards and that was way on the other side.

Now I can't say what the other Club Level rooms closer to the ESPN Club and just past it would sound like it, so maybe you should another request to not have a room in that area.

Well, YC didn't seem long and we were at the end furthest from the lounge, but they are a bit "twisty." This past summer, I was always chilly in the WL lounge so I bought a WL jacket and wore that in there (I love that jacket:)). Sounds like I might need a BWI jacket, too;)
Taking a jacket isn't a bad idea.

Our favorite is the Poly, with the GF and WL running a close second. But there are 3 resorts we haven't tried......CR, YC, and BWI. BWI is at the top of my list to try, but with the Epcot resorts not having much in way of CS, I can't convince my DSs to stay over there again. I know there are limited CS options at BWI and the BC has the Marketplace, but the variety for us isn't there (especially for breakfast). Their favorites are Captain Cooks at the Poly and Roaring Forks at the WL and nothing in the Epcot area compares to those two places :sad2:. As far as the CR.......although there is CS there, the issue we have with that is we don't really care for the decor; it doesn't appeal to any of us to stay there for 7 or 8 days. So, unless I can convince the guys to venture a stay at another Epcot resort, it looks like I'll be booking the Poly. But that's ok with me because I actually love the volcano pool the best out of all the resorts we've stayed at :goodvibes (including SAB at the BC). But anything can happen between now and next summer as I am known to be a resort changer :rotfl: :rotfl:.

We don't use CS much, but I'm with you on Captain Cook's - definitely my favorite of all the resort CS/food courts. Just wanted to add that Picabu at the Dolphin is a great option for those staying in the Epcot resort area and looking for non-park CS. It's open 24 hours a day and has a nice variety for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We just stayed at BWI in August and loved it!

Thanks for the suggestion of Picabu......I didn't realize there was something with more variety at the Dolphin. We really enjoyed the Epcot area when we stayed at the BC, but with 2 teens, having a variety of choices at your fingertips is essential . Breakfast is the biggest concern. We do 1 or 2 breakfasts each trip, but CS is the most frequent since it's quick and easy first thing in the morning. My DH really isn't interested in staying at the YC, but he wouldn't mind trying BWI or go back to the BC.....my two DSs, however, aren't as easy to convince :sad2:. So needless to say, I'm still working on them to try and sway them to give it another try, so hopefully sooner or later I will succeed ;).

I'll be honest, it's still not Captain Cook's, but this link might help! I took some photos around the area at various times earlier this year to help highlight some of the options. We've been staying CL, so that entirely addresses our breakfast needs and then we have ADRs for lunch and dinner. But we ate at Picabu earlier this year during a non-CL stay, and really enjoyed it - scroll down in the attached link and you'll see the menu from May:

My request is all wrong then. I guess I'll need to change it to "No connecting door, Epcot view, away from ESPN(?)" That just seems so long, but at the CR I used to request "Far from Chef Mickey's, odd numbered room, high floor," so I guess it's not any longer than that...

I think you should really consider CL since breakfast would be so conveniently located, as well as snacks, drinks, appetizers and desserts - the teens would love it (and so would mom and dad;))

Great pics and menus....thanks for the link :). I did notice that Hurricane Hannah's has burgers, which would suit my oldest just fine for lunch. Now if I could just get past the breakfast issue :rolleyes1. I'll have to show both of my DSs and see if they're interested at all....thanks again for all your input :goodvibes.

I agree about CL being very convenient with everything offered :thumbsup2. Our first CL stay was at the WL in 2004 and we all loved it, although the boys were younger and I think they may get more out of it as teens now. I've stayed SL and RPC at the GF (those were girls trips) and I would love to book that since neither DH nor the boys have tried that, but everyone seems to want the Poly over the Grand :rolleyes1.....and my efforts of trying to get them to try the BWI isn't working :rotfl:. But whichever resort we choose, we will spend alot of time hanging out at the pool, so that would be a huge plus having the lounge for snacking and drinks. I know I would love it and I think DH would really enjoy it as well ::yes::.

That sounds like the best way to request everything and not complicated. Plus the BWI CL Cast Members personally do the room assignments for those staying Club Level, so at least you don't have to worry about the computer selecting your room.

Just wrapping up my last day of an eight day trip in the Villas side of the Boardwalk. Can't say enough how awesome this place is. We had some noise issues with Jellyrolls/Atlantic Dance, but we were at the very end and you wouldn't have that issue on the Inn side. The vibe of sitting out on the Boardwalk (where I'm writing this now) is just total relaxation.

One specific tip I thought I'd recommend is the ice cream at Seashore Sweets. The scoop ice cream is the same Edy's they serve across at Beaches N' Cream, and the scoops are HUGE. One scoop is $3.29 and two scoops (you can mix and match flavors) are $3.89, and for that price you get what would really be 3 to 4 scoops anywhere else. Highly recommend!!!

Oh yeah, the tree is up now (can try to post a pic when I get back) and in the lobby they have a cool gingerbread scene with Stitch. Good stuff.

You are right on about Seashore Sweets because I always enjoy getting Ice Cream from there, the costs are very reasonable and they give a generous amount in each scoop.

If you could choose any room at Standard Club Level , which would it be and why?

Less than 2 months to our visit , yeah!

I was in a room behind ESPN Club and I didn't hear any noise from ESPN but I did hear the road noise from the road back there. And it was a long walk down the hall to that room!

Back from another great BWI CL stay! The staff was all wonderful as usual.

The breakfast offerings had a new oatmeal warmer, hard boiled eggs and greek yogurt in little cups in addition to the "regular" yogurt they have always had. I took a few photos on my phone that I can post later.

We didn't always have the evening offerings but they seemed to have added raw fish most nights-tuna tartar or salmon. They still had salads and 2 hot offerings. The veggies are now grilled and were quite nice.

They still had the same great PB&Js. The only thing I didn't see that I had seen on prior trips were gummy fish but I could have just missed the day they had them in the afternoon.

Forgot to mention one negative of the trip which I will write to Disney about. Our last day was an early extra magic hour day at Epcot. We got up early and got our luggage checked and other stuffed stored at Bell Services and were at the International Gateway by 7:40am. They wouldn't let us in the park until 8:12am. There were folks who had gotten in from the front of the park who were getting off Soarin by the time we got there and we walk very fast. When we got off Soarin we rode Test Track stand by and by the time we got off that it was already after 9am. I have never been to an early entry and only been able to do 2 rides in the hour.

One of the perks of staying at the Epcot resorts is the easy access to Epcot. Not much of a perk if they won't let you in. They kept saying there was some "issue" in the park. We didn't not go to Guest Relations to complain as I didn't want to spend any time there when we had to leave the park by 11am to get to the airport.

Didnt know if anyone posted but you can get the sangria from noon to midnight at the pizza window. Huge plastic cup for $7 and it was amazing...we had a few almost every day!
Thanks so much for posting this! I tried it while I was just there and it was great!:drinking1

lovesdumbo,
It's great to read that you had another wonderful stay there. :thumbsup2

As for what happened when you went to Epcot I can say that's something I never heard of happening before, especially since you said it was when they had AM Extra Magic Hour. So it seems the International Gateway still has the issues letting guests in from the Epcot Resorts which is a shame and it's something you should address in a letter to WDW. Hopefully that won't happen when I am there in a few weeks, however if it does then I will say something at Guest Relations.

My grandchildren love the Swedish Fish. They ask for them all the time and a cast member gets them some from the back.
