I have seen a couple of guests jogging around the walkway path that goes towards Hollywood Studios during the mornings and afternoon and it's a much longer path then Crescent Lake to get around. Plus I have never seen it busy with a lot of guests using it for walking to Hollywood Studios and back, so those jogging always had a lot of room.
Just the answer I was looking for - thank you!

I'd like to get some opinions on a split stay:

As you know, we're definitely going to book BWI/CL for the first time. It will be our 25th anniversary next summer and DH has told me to book whatever I want:love:. I know I'm going to book BWI/CL and we just love WL/CL, as you know, so we'll spend some time there, too. DH is fine with staying at 3 resorts, so I was wondering whether to add a 3rd resort, such as the CR, AKL or RPC (we've never stayed CL at AKL or GF), or should I just stay longer at BWI? It would be a two week WDW stay. (BTW, DH loves a really good CL that is roomy, tidy and has a friendly and welcoming staff.)

Well personally I would say to stay longer at the BWI if you think that's possible, because I say the more time there the better it is. Their Club Level Cast Members have always been very welcoming to us and we never had problems with Housekeeping over there.

However I know how much you love CL at WL and I would you love it just as much as I enjoy CL at the BWI. So I don't want to give you any bad advise since you never stayed there before, because in the end you will have your own opinion about it. So have you thought of staying 1st at the BWI and 2nd at the WL, because at least you will end your trip at a resort you already enjoy.

We did a split stay in Dec 2007 and I didn't care for it at all, we did 2 nights at each CR/AKL. We are doing a 3 way split in January, 1 night at CSR, 3 nights BWI and 4 nights BWV, I can't see it being a problem with a length of stay like that, but I won't ever do it again on a short trip.

I'm[/I]:rolleyes1) still on the fitness topic... Does anyone have experience with jogging to/from DHS in the early AM? I know the Crescent Lake path is popular, but haven't read much about guests also using the DHS-BWI path and then going around (and around...) CL.

An early morning jog around Crescent Lake is utter heaven...my favorite of all the running spots at WDW. It is so easy to run from BWI to DHS. I usually go out around 5...and there are others running the DHS path even then!

I do always have a secret fear that, early in the darkened morn, an alligator will climb out of the water on the path to DHS and eat me.

A family of DVCers has a last minute trip planned for BWV. Due to a change in plans, we *had* to add an extra night. I booked one night in a standard CL at BWI.

What do I really need to do/know for this short stay? Should I contact IPO? Let them know when we're arriving and that'll we'll be checking into the Villas the next day (they'll move our luggage, right?) ?

Huge thanks to CR Resort Fan 4 Life! Your info and photos have been an inspiration. It's been awhile since I've planned a commando trip to WDW...and I'm not sure if I've ever done a "last minute" trip (anything that requires less than a year's planning!)

TIA

Yes the Deluxe Rooms on the 3rd floor were very close to the stairs that go to the 4th floor.

Thank you :flower3:.

We are a family of 6 and wanted to stay at BW next Christmas, so we didnt want to risk the chance of lising out on a deluxe CL room, so we booked as soon as our 499 day window opened. Would it be nice to have a discount, yes, sure...but I know the chances are pretty slim with our dates.

That's what I'm thinking as well.....better to have it booked early and take a chance of no discount than to not be able to book it at all later on ;).

I'm one who likes to unpack and be settled, but since you're going for 2 weeks, I don't think it would be bad to stay at 3 resorts over that period of time. I would suggest trying GF RPC. The lounge is big and spread out and it's so nice being able to hear and see the band down below in the lobby :cloud9:. Plus the CMs there are AWESOME :thumbsup2.

Well, I'm almost certain we're staying at both BWI and WL, just wasn't sure about adding a third resort. I think your advice about staying first at BWI sounds good. An added benefit is that if we absolutely love it, we can extend;)

I agree, short splits are onerous. Just curious, why are you only doing one night at CSR? Is it a late arrival night?

Now you've got me excited! Adding the prospect of alligators to our morning run will serve as an added challenge:thumbsup2. Reminds me of the trails from WL to FWL which are full of wildlife - but mostly just deer...

On the bright side, you'd die at the Happiest Place on Earth.
Or just be terribly maimed for life! But think of the stories you could tell.

 mickeynut1!

Well, you're not the first to recommend RPC as the third resort. I just have issues with the décor - I'm not a fan of it or those "bedspreads." (Why don't they have comfy comforters?). And the gym shares with two resorts which might make it really crowded in the early AM? And, I dislike the location of the parking. Yes, I have some issues:rolleyes1

I thought today would finally be the day I book our anniversary trip, but I'm still not sure what to do:sad2:

Yes, we will probably arriving around 9pm and there wasn't a room available at BWI to add to what I already have or at Pop.

Hey there, Kook :wave2:....how are things with you?

The GF rooms are very nice, but I can understand about the decor....it doesn't appeal to alot of people. I can't comment on the gym crowds as I've never used it, but I do agree......depending on how many people work out, I guess it can get crowded (especially in the morning) since 2 resorts are using it :rolleyes1. And yes...the parking is FAR away.....which makes for it being very inconvenient if you drive rather than take Disney transportation. But with all the said......RPC is VERY NICE!!!! If you can get past all of the above for a few days, I don't think you'd regret trying it. You could always book 2 or 3 nights at the beginning of your trip and if you don't really like it all that much, you know you will soon be heading to the WL and BWI :goodvibes. Our 20th anniversary is in June and we're going in July to celebrate that along with my oldest son's hs graduation and I can't for the life of me decide where to book . My youngest loves the Poly......my oldest "doesn't care".....and DH tells me to book where ever I want......and Disney adds to the confusion by having so many great resorts that it's very difficult to choose just one......so I can totally relate to why you haven't booked your trip yet :rotfl: :rotfl:.

I've resolved to book a CL SV today, but first I have a room request question!

These are photos I took of a CL STD room. We loved its view and would like to be in this area (but without a connecting door). Would my request simply be: Garden View? Or is there something more specific?

When reserving a Standard Club Level Room you will either get a view of their Garden area like in your picture or you can also request a Boardwalk view. However there are a lot less Standard Club Level Rooms with the Boardwalk view and if you really wanted one the only way to guarantee that view is by reserving their Deluxe Club Level Room.

We actually don't want a BWV, we want the same view as in the photo I posted. So do I simply request "GARDEN VIEW" or do I need to be more specific in order to make it clear that we would like a view of Epcot and NOT a pool or BW view?

Well I guess saying their Garden View would be the best option or maybe try adding the view which also comes with the Eiffel Tower from the France Pavilion. Each time we have reserved their Standard Club Level Room we always requested the Boardwalk View, so we have never requested a room on the other side.

So are all the GV/CL rooms Epcot views? Maybe I'll just request GARDEN/EPCOT VIEW. If I keep fussing over this, I'll never book anything:upsidedow

Well I forgot to mention that some of their Standard Club Level Rooms are also located past the ESPN Club and it's really a view of nothing if you got one of those rooms in that location, so I agree that it's best to say Garden/Epcot view.

Been trying to call the WDTC for quite a while and I keep getting a busy signal:headache:. Could this be a sign?

Just for fun I was looking at the Annual Pass website to see if their was more rooms avaiable with the AP discount we are getting next month and to my surprise from 12/08/11 - 12/22/11 the only room category available at the Boardwalk Inn was their Standard View, with no Club Level rooms available. When I checked the Canadian Room Only discount I got the exact same results that the Annual Pass rates showed me. Finally I then checked the rack rates since they can have different results compared to the various room only discounts and they also only had their Standard View available without any Club Level rooms available.

Got through to the WDTC and I didn't even get put on hold:thumbsup2

We are booked for our 25th anniversary July-August trip at WL/CL the first three nights. Then BWI/CL for five nights (I requested garden/Epcot view). And the grand finale is five nights at the GF in a Deluxe Queen Room Main Bldg./RPC:goodvibes.

BWI and GF will be new to us and we're very excited. Can't wait to get our Disney Destinations Email:hyper:
