Is it noisy at night? I have a water-view room booked if that makes a difference.

It can get noisy at night if your room is on the Boardwalk. On our first DVC stay, our room was on the 3rd floor above Crest O' The Wave. We were awakened a few nights after 2 am when people were leaving Jellyrolls and the Atlantic Dance Club.

Hopefully I won't wake up from that. I can be a heavy sleeper though.

That's not bad. How early in the morning?

I know the boats start at 8am but maybe 7am when Epcot & DHS have early entry.:confused3

The runners can be there early but they never woke me up I would just hear their thump/thump/thump on the wooden boardwalk when all else was quiet.

Are you in the Inn or DVC? I wouldn't think you would hear too much from Jellyrolls or the dance club on the Inn side.

That's not bad. I will be up before 8am because I want to get ready early and make sure I have everything. I'm just bound to forget something. :rotfl: And that's not too bad if you just hear the pounding of feet on the wood. I'm at the Inn. So it looks like I might not hear much.

Okay, I can really research this but in everyone's honest opinion, is it ok? I don't need anything fancy-the reason we chose BWI was because it is walking distance to EPCOT, which is the park we prefer when we go solo.

It is a lot of money, even with our PIN, and the room and convvenience really worth the money or should I switch to something like POFQ?

We are going during the BIGGEST weekend of Spring Break and F&G Festival...ANNNNNND I am a very indecisive person sometimes.

ETA: forgot to say we will also be coming off of a marathon visit to all the other Disney parks.

Easter weekend? I don't know that I could pay the rates at BWI that weekend but then again it would be nice to be able to walk to Epcot on that super busy weekend. Guess I'm not much help.

Honest opinion--you prefer EPCOT, so BWI is definitely worth it! Lovely inn and rooms, great location, easy and pretty walk to EPCOT...and you will enjoy sitting on the boardwalk at night and people-watching.

Love Flower and Garden Festival!

Eek--I always go running on the boardwalk EARLY (say, 5:00) and never thought of the thump/thump on the boardwalk as distubing anyone in the inn--if anyone's thumping ever woke you around 5 a.m.---sorry!

Never woke me-I would just hear it if I was already awake. It was so quiet otherwise.

The only time I was ever bothered by noise at BWI was in the dreaded behind the ESPN Club room and the road noise woke me in the morning. I never did hear any ESPN noise.

Thanks with the help for the inskeeper club, i found the CL in the fourm. The noise Issue or non Issue is kind of funny. I am a person that loves noise, I know I am strange:rotfl2:. One of the things that kind of drew me to BWI was the aspect of the amount of people that go through there, and yes, the noise. Hearing the people at night or early in the morining for me would be really nice and relazing. I never have a issue with falling asleep to noise.

We're just back from a quick stay at BWI CL.

The cast are as amazing as ever. They were really busy with a fully booked house due to ESPN weekend. In all of our trips, including Christmas week, we've never seen them running so much. But they kept the food, wine/beer, and soda fully stocked.

This trip we had the infamous satellite view at the end of the hall overlooking ESPN. When we got the text with the room number, I thought, "uh-oh." But it truly wasn't bad at all. I meant to take a picture but forgot. You see a bit of and hear the access road, to one side you see the boardwalk, Y&B, and water. To the other, you see France. In the middle, the satellite and a storage shed. If you're sitting, you see none of it because the balcony has the enclosed bottom. For you Star Wars fans, DH and DS started calling it the Endor suite because of the bushes and satellite. :)

We gave the GF a try in Dec. It was nice, but we couldn't help comparing it to BW. The Innkeeper's Club just feels like home to us.

btw, BW "noise" is never a problem for us. What little we can hear is no big deal, and the boat horn? That says "I'm on vacation" to me. funny, how different we all are! :goodvibes

Thanks for posting your review and it's great you enjoyed your stay.

That's good!

And I'm sorry we crushed you in hockey last night. ;)
Well as Ron Wilson said they can't win every game and last night the Blackhawks were the better team. Plus the Leafs didn't start playing that well until the 3rd period when they were out of it and was un lucky about not scoring on that penalty shot.

Now let's get back to our discussion about the Boardwalk Inn.

Hello Boardwalk fans!

We love BC, but have spent plenty of time at our neighboring BWI! We're trying a Disney cruise in August and have our post-cruise BC night scheduled. We decided to add two pre-cruise nights and our room category was not available at BC, so we're joining you at BWI for two nights - we're excited to try it! I have a few questions and I'm hoping the BWI experts can help!

1) I see various reports about refillable mugs. We'd like to get new mugs when we arrive. We're coffee drinkers and our older boys will need sodas. Is there a current list of refill locations? Are any of them self-serve?

2) Any opinions regarding Kouzzina for breakfast?

3) I saw a post earlier in the thread regarding life jackets on the pool slide - is it still OK for little ones to use swim vests on the slide? We have a pre-schooler who may or may not be swimming by the time we arrive in August, but I know he would love to try the slide.

Thanks so much!!!

Sorry with the Hockey question but!. Ok we are out here In the NW and watch Hockey Night In Canada every weekend, and love It and since you are from Toronto(by the I have a question, why Is It that they have them on the frist game it seems every Saturday?. Not a bad thing but just seem kind of strange,Is CBUT Tor home tv network:confused3. They (Tor) had so many chances to pull that out or at least cash in on some goals there In the 3rd!. Ok sorry I could not pass up the moment to chat hockey:rotfl2:.

Toronto is always shown first on Saturday's because we have the biggest fan base across Canada, so the CBC knows they can get a lot viewers from Toronto and parts of Southern Ontario and it's because they are the national game being broadcast across Canada. Plus it also helps when their games start at 7:00 PM EST. Other nights when there are multiple games on CBC like 3 of them then they split the country into different sections, where some parts get one game and others get the other games. Last night the Montreal/Tampa Bay game was only shown in Quebec and parts of Eastern Ontario.

The mugs can be refilled at the following locations. Boardwalk Bakery, Boardwalk Joe's, Boardwalk Pizza Window and Seashore Sweets.

You should also know they are only sold at the Boardwalk Bakery and Seashore Sweets.
