We're back from our trip so thought I'd post our BWI experience on this board.
We had booked standard room. Did fax 4 days ahead. Our most important request was for a room close to the main elevators because of my mother's age (70) and mobility issues. Second to that, requested day bed, full balcony and any magic they could spare.
At check in the CM said that our room had been blocked and the assigner had noted "DO NOT MOVE" in their computer. We were given room 4298 which was perfect for us. About 6 rooms from elevator, day bed, small balcony but still had two chairs and tiny table. Looking out the balcony, we could see the top of the ball, land to one side, eiffel tower to the other. Watched the higher fireworks.
I loved the decor of the rooms and public rooms at BWI. The christmas decorations were up and beautiful! Everyone was very nice.
The only food we got on the boardwalk was pizza from the takeout window. Good and gooey. We did hit Cape May over at the Beach Club for dinner and breakfast once. That was very good.
Went to the themed pool once. Daughter enjoyed a game of marco polo and did the slide a few times. The slide comes down in 4' water. She's an iffy swimmer and did fine.
Just a great trip and loved the Boardwalk. I hope we can return next year.
