I had the middle room on the 4th floor. It may be even smaller than the other 2 as there was only 1 chair.

Thanks! This is one post that I saw that had me wondering (it's from the Balcony View thread on the Resort Photo forum). It appears that the rooms on the 3rd floor don't have any kind of covering ...

Rooms on the 3rd floor have covering from the balcony above it. I had a 3rd floor room last December. The shops on the Boardwalk are actually the 2nd floor. The 3rd floor non-concierge rooms (which I had) are directly above the shops (I was over the Arcade) and then there are the 4th and 5th concierge level rooms. That photo that you are referencing was taken from a 4th floor concierge room by the looks of it.

Thanks for the great pics! What a pretty view!! What type of room did you book? Last a goofy question-did you have one or two chairs on your balcony? Table?
Hope you had a wonderful vacation. :goodvibes

It's a standard room with water view. When you book on the website it describes water view as having a view of the boardwalk and Crescent Lake, but I was still worried I would get a view of the pool. So, while I'd rather have a room right over the boardwalk, I was happy with this one.

The balcony did seem small, especially compared to other balconies we've had, and only had a table and one chair. Since it was just my daughter and I, it didn't matter, but with the whole family, I'd rather have two chairs and no table.

We did have a wonderful vacation, thank you! It was the perfect girls trip with my daughter.

Here are some pictures of the room:

Such a gorgeous room! They really made a vast improvement with the recent renovation. Could you tell, were there a lot of rooms with only one chair on the balcony?

I honestly don't know. The balconies on either side of mine only had one chair and a table. There were three in a row, then a larger balcony, not sure what was on the other side of that. I meant to take a picture of our balcony from the outside, but forgot. I love the renovated rooms, very bright and airy.

I've been back a week :( from a fantastic stay club level - we had a 'smallish', i.e. narrow balcony, but it had 2 chairs and tables.

In 2007 we had 2 Boardwalk view rooms just along from kbeverina's room - if I recall correctly we had rooms 3267 and 3269 - the balconies also had 2 chairs and a table and were huge, and I do mean huge!

Here's some pictures to give you an idea:

Room 4253 (club level - OMG this view was heaven):

Thanks for the pictures!! We'll be staying in a deluxe club room in July. I've heard many of those rooms have balconies with only 1 chair and a table. Does that mean that they're smaller than these? If so, by how much? Does anyone know? Would they be about half this size? TIA! :thumbsup2

Absolutely fantastic pictures! Thanks so much for sharing! You've gotten some wonderful room views!

The room to the left of my recent club level room (I think 4235) was a deluxe room and definitely had a smaller balcony with only 1 chair and a table, however, although it was smaller lengthwise it was a little wider in the depth, it was also an 'open' balcony, i.e. open all round. From what I understand the deluxe room balconies on the 3rd floor are larger than those on the 4th floor.

The balcony (above picture where I'm sitting) was very large and there are not many of them, none of the club level rooms have those large balconies.

It's not a great picture but just so you can see, the balconies on the 3rd floor are larger than the ones on the 4th floor:

Thank you so much!! I guess it's a choice between being on the same floor as the lounge, or having a larger balcony.

Quick question about the BWI CL standard rooms..the CM said they can have a pool, garden or Boardwalk view...is that correct? What floor would they be on? I just changed my reservation and requested a king bed Boardwalk view....do you think I will get it?

When you look at photos of the Boardwalk frontage overlooking the Boardwalk most of the rooms you see (4th floor club level) overlooking the Boardwalk are deluxe rooms, presidential suite, and some standard club level rooms, in the scheme of things very few standard club level rooms overlook the Boardwalk. Most overlook the gardens.

Some overlook the gardens with a fantastic view of Illuminations, some overlook the gardens with no view of Illuminations, and some overlook the quiet pool. There's a couple that are on the 'side', i.e. end of the corridor by ESPN that overlook a little service area with the ESPN satellite dishes and with the service room noise too. I had one of these in 2007, thankfully there were other rooms I could be moved to and I was swiftly moved to a fantastic illuminations/garden view room.

Yes, that's it :) I would have given anything for your shade lol - it was soooo hot at times!

I don't think I'll ever get such a good view as 4253 again, it really was special.
