Hello all-

Sorry if this has been asked before (and I'm sure it has)

DH and I are booked Dec 4-9 BWI Water View. This is our very first BWI stay! :cool1:

We have been getting conflicting info. One person at Disney Reservations said we'd have a view of the pool (:confused3 I guess that could be a water view) and then when DH called back a completely different CM told him it was a view of Crescent Lake.

Does anyone here officially know the answer? DH and I didn't book a water view to overlook a pool!

EDIT: I just reviewed our reservation. It says "Disney's Boardwalk Inn Water View (IC)"
Anyone know what the IC means?

This is what the description is on the Official Disney Booking Website:
"Water View Rooms are located in the Main Building and offer a view of the BoardWalk and Crescent Lake"

We have a Waterview Room booked for Sept. 13-18. It also says IC after Waterview on our comfirmation. Disney has all kinds of codes that they know the meaning of and ours is just to wonder.:goodvibes Yes, I would be very upset, too, if they put us in a pool view room. That is not what their description says and I booked it, and paid extra, because of the description being Crescent Lake/Boardwalk View.

Basically the Boardwalk was much better then we expected and has become my #2 favorite resort behind the Contemporary, although part of me has it tied for 1st.

Words I never thought I'd hear.

Interesting as I was always a MK resort fan, (and as you know a major GF fan), I spent some time strolling around the BC, YC, and spent some time at the Dolphin on my trip last month and found that I really liked the feeling of the Epcot resort loop. I really think on our next trip you'll see us staying at one of the Epcot resorts. Glad to know you can actually get off the monorail.. :rotfl:

Speaking of CL there, do you or does anyone else have a picture of the turndown cards used at the BWI? I've seen pictures from a distance and they look really neat.

I am still in shock at how great it was staying there.

As for your question about the turn down service cards I didn't take pictures of them, although I can always do that during our next Club Level stay this December at the Boardwalk.

For the past few days I have been checking the Annual Pass rates and the fall/winter room only promotion rates and so far for my dates this December a Deluxe Club Level Room at the Boardwalk is not available. The specifc dates are December 9th - December 23rd. Now I plan to keep checking everyday because I know that's the best thing to do, but if it doesn't become available at least we still have our Standard Club Level Room at the Boardwalk already reserved which we got as a Bounceback rates, so I will still be happy with that. However I will admit having the view of the Boardwalk/Water area was great to have and the extra TV was nice. Anyway I was just wondering what anyone thinks the odds are of their Deluxe Rooms becoming available with either one of those discounted promotions with our dates? I also realize only so many rooms are available on each promotion, however the Deluxe Rooms are also sold out with the regular rates where no discounts are involved.

I love the cards! I framed them and have them hanging in my upstairs hall. I will try to get pictures posted for you.

One thing I noticed about the Innkeeper's Club Cast Members compared to the Club Level Cast Members at the Contemporary and Polynesian is that one of them leaves those pre-recorded messages each night in our room saying what the weather the next day will be, along with what parks have Extra Magic Hours. Now I also noticed that eventually our mail box gets full so I am wondering how do we delete the messages so that doesn't happen? Once the message has finished playing it then says end of messages and it ends the call, but it doesn't say to delete the message press a specific number like when deleting a voice mail off a cell phone.

You hit 7 to clean up your mesages. You will get a prompt to verify the cleanup. I like the personaliztion of the messages at the end of your stay too. This was one thing they did not do at the YC. Never got the next days weather or park hours.

Yes! Yes! Please!

Yes! Yes! Please! I framed mine from the GF RPC last year, and I have new ones from AKL CL this year. I love them, and they're perfect to hang beside your bed.

Hi there!

I was wondering how much the carnival games cost? I want to factor in some money each night to play some of the midway games while we're there. :goodvibes

Also, I was wondering how late/early the Boardwalk bakery is open?

Thanks in advance for your help!

What are the benefits of having a Club Level room at BW? How much more are they compared to a villa or another deluxe room? Are they located only on floors 3 & 4? I'm fairly new to Disney/DVC and just heard about this special area.
Thanks for your input.

Hi,
I have a random pool question. We're staying at BCV in Jan when our pool slide will be closed. My DS is a pool slide junkie, so we will likely hop over to the clown pool. Over at Stormalong Bay people could use the locker room at the fitness club to shower/change. Is there anything like that available at the Boardwalk?

I found that swimming in Jan isn't an issue, it's the wet/cold walk back to the room that can be difficult. A hot shower and a blow dryer would make all the difference in the world.

TIA,
Heather

We are travelling from Australia (family) in Jan and staying for two weeks(about to book acc at BW) just want to know if it is worth while upgrading to a delux room ?

The Deluxe Rooms are great because they come with a guaranteed view of the Boardwalk. However if you want to save some $ you could always book a Standard Club Level Room, so you can still get Club Level access withot spending a bit extra.

For a 2 week visit, I think you might appreciate all of the extra room in a deluxe. It is so much larger than a standard room.

Just for fun I was looking up our dates at the Boardwalk Inn for next month on the WDW website and they are 100% sold out from December 9th - December 23rd. I looked under the rack rate, Annual Pass rates and the Fall/Winter Room Only promotion, however nothing came up and I was given the Beach Club as another option.
