The Big Bang Theory last night

Angie Dickinson...she was a female actor in the 60s and 70s, she was hot for the time...she was my dad's celebrity crush...she was on a show called Policewoman I think.

My favorite line was when they were singing karoke and Sheldon said "bring it home Mufasa"! :happytv:

Yes, Policewoman :thumbsup2

What a great episode! I like Star Wars, too!!! :lmao:

The first thing I thought of was how I used to do that on the Southwest Airlines site when the 24 hour point came in an attempt to get an early boarding place. No matter how quick I was, I was barely still in the "A" group.

Just started to watch this show and I am hooked. Trying to catch up with all of the old episodes as they are on every night in my area.

Yup, I totally loved it! And the other story with the girls at the tea with Penny being mistaken for Bernadette's mother...........

I thought it was hilarious! The scenes with Sheldon and James Earl Jones wre priceless. It looked like JEJs was having a great time. They need him back. Him and Bob Newhart are my favourite Big Bang Theory guest. They play off well with Sheldon's character.

Yes. Angie Dickinson (not Dickerson). She's 82 now.

Did anyone else catch the line when the ladies were in the bar and either Penny or Bernadette made a comment about "mom"?

Sometimes I swear I live under a rock. I had a hard time with Big Bang the other night for these reasons:

1. Didn't know Darth Vadar was James Earl Jones
2. Didn't know who Carrie Fischer was
3. Didn't know who Angie Dickenson was

I felt out of the loop with the jokes!

I don't think I ever saw Star Wars, and if I did, I must've been pretty young. (I'm 38)

I also thought it was way too far fetched that James Earl Jones would be dining alone, and then accept Sheldon as a "friend" for all those outings. So, are they going to Comic Con or not??? I felt like there should've been a "to be continued" at the end even though I hate those more than anything! It was a very rushed 30 minute show.

And another vent...Penny is so pretty, but for some reason this season, she looks horrible. Dark roots showing, hair always a mess or pulled up, etc. She used to be so put together looking. Now she just looks frumpy. And Bernadette.....is her hair real? The outfits they dress her in just make her look like she has two oversized rocks sitting on her chest. God, I am being a bit critical tonight.....sorry!!

Carrie Fischer is one of the MOST recognized characters from Star Wars

Every comedy show , back in the day, did parodies on her looks....like SNL
Lots drew cartoons of her with 2 doughnuts as her hair buns:lmao:

Yes, the "Mom" comment was a cute reminder of a server at the tea party thinking Penny was their (or Bernadette's) mother. Great writing!

I don't think there's a single episode that doesn't have a reference to Star Wars or Star Trek. They certainly pulled out all the stops for this episode, being Sweeps Weeks and all.

It doesn't really matter if they're going to Comic Con, that wasn't really the point of the episode...

I had been planning to go to ComicCon this year! I write for a sci-fi website, and the site owner was trying to get us press passes, but if that didn't happen, we were going to have to go through the whole "refresh refresh" thing. If you know Comic Con, though, they made an announcement this week that changed how you buy the tickets, and now, if you "refresh refresh," you don't have any chance of getting tickets! So, nerd that I am, that made this even funnier. (I've since changed my mind and I'm going to another nerd deal instead...)
