So after much finagling and rescheduling, we have finally booked our next vacation!! On April 2nd, we are flying to Florida for eight nights in Orlando. We are spending five nights at Walt Disney World and three nights on the Disney Cruise ship, the Wonder (see itinerary below). We have also invited two close friends to join us for the land portion of our trip (see cast below).
Cast:
Me a.k.a Planning Princess - DW 25 y.o., Former CM for MK, MGM, Recruiting and DS. Has terrible episodes of talking about Disney incessantly for days at a time. Desperately trying not to plan every minute of the trip.
Kevin a.ka. DVD god - DH 24 y.o., Former CM at MGM. Obsessed with anything to do with DVDs, DVD players, or movies; has DVDs totaling over 300. Visit the movie section of our (his) website for a complete tutorial on the science of DVDs. Has terrible episodes of tuning out anything related to excessive Disney planning and will answer only to DVD god.
Dave One of my best friends from high school a.k.a. DVD god in training. WDW Virgin who is surprising his wife with this trip.
Monica Boston native who says things like wicked cool and Go Sox! WDW Virgin who thinks this trip is a riverboat ride up the Mississippi.
Itinerary:
04/02 - Fly out of Washington-Dulles to SFB (Sanford-Orlando Airport) with an e.t.a. of 10 a.m. Pick up rental car and make our way to the hotel; Port Orleans French Quarter (POFQ). Swim a bit, head to church and then Downtown Disney (DTD) for dinner. Pick up friends from the airport around 10 p.m.
04/03 - Head to EPCOT for the morning including Le Cellier for lunch, then to the Disney-MGM Studios for Extra Magic Hour (EMH).
04/04 - Typhoon Lagoon, free afternoon and 'Ohana for dinner. Wishes Fireworks Cruise with some CM friends and some Disboard friends. Our friends that we are bringing along don't know about this yet!
04/05 - Kona Café for breakfast and off to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT (Illuminations fireworks show).
04/06 - Boma for breakfast at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and then off to Animal Kingdom for the morning and Magic Kingdom for our last night in the parks.
04/07 - Get up early and head to Port Canaveral and Disney's Wonder after dropping off our friends at the airport. (Drop off rental car)
04/07-04/10 - Disney Wonder with stops in the Bahama Islands and at Disneys private island, Castaway Cay.
04/10 - Arrive back at Port Canaveral, pick up rental car and drive back to Disney. Church and hit DTD one more time before flying back to Washington-Dulles at 4 p.m.
