I have to chime in as a mug user. When I bought the mug on our first cruise six years ago. The deal was you buy the mug and you can bring it back any time, any cruise, for refills. That's what I was told when I bought it and that's what I believe. The tickets were a great idea so you didn't have to carry the mug around or home with you. Our seventh cruise this January on the Dream was the first time there was ever a question. Some bartenders said the program was still on, some said no. I too am a very ethical person and if I believed I was "cheating" someone I wouldn't do it. I see no harm in Disney and I continuing the program and honoring the agreement we had when I purchased the mug. No one presented me with a written "Disney Policy" on beer mugs when I purchased it so I'm going by what I was told at the time of sale. If you buy park tickets at an agreed upon price/duration but the price goes up at the time you use them...should you pay the difference? The answer is "of course not". I don't know why this is so controversial. Cheers!
