The Bahamian Rum Runners! May 18, 2012 - 5 Nights on the Magic!

1. We are flying down to Orlando on May 16 and spending 2 nights at Bay Lake Tower. We decided not to go to the parks this time (we were there in November) and just enjoy our resort. Then on May 18 (cruise day!!!) we are sharing a van with JMTStone and headed to the port! Hooray!! We are taking the DCL bus back to the airport on the 23rd -- easy since they will handle our luggage.

2. I am the planner in the family. And I am a bit over-the-top OCD when it comes to planning. But we always have a great time and doing all the research, etc, pays off :-)

1. How are you getting to the cruise? Planes, trains, automobiles... what's the plan?
We are flying out of Kansas City Thurs morning and staying at the Hyatt that night.

2. Who's the planner in your family and how crazy of a planner is that person?
That would be Mike. Our family calls him Mr. Clipboard of fun! And if it were up to him we would have been packed a month ago. I am sure he has the recent navigators memorized along with the deck plan!

1. We're driving down from South Carolina on the 16th to visit Kennedy Space Center with our 3 boys on the 17th.

2. I'm the overly-obsessed planner, especially when it comes to Disney! I'm packing starting this weekend (although my cruise pile was started quite some time ago).

OK, now I've got a dilema to ask ya'lls advice about -- Went to the dentist today for the regular 6 month cleaning and was informed that the very back molar was fractured! The dentist suggested a crown, and that I could let them know when I needed it since it obviously isn't bothering me now. Of course I've been poking at it all afternoon now and fretting about whether I should get it worked on before the cruise. If I understand correctly, it's about a 2 week process, which puts the final procedure possibly the week of the cruise. Do I go ahead and get it done and hope for no complications? Or wait until after the cruise and hope it doesn't bother me during it? This is one of those 'better-if-I-hadn't-known' situations....

I have two crowns. One went great, no issues at all. The other - kept falling out. I guess the fit wasn't exactly right. I ended up wearing a temporary (that felt and looked horrible) for 3 weeks longer than expected.

Just my opinion but if it isn't hurting - don't change it.

OK, FE gifts are redone, revision 7 :headache:, just have to use a machine at work to put them together. That and there are the adult FE gifts to do:rolleyes1

Sorry for causing some of those revisions! I promise, my hubby and I are lots of fun!!! :flower3:

No, it wasnt you, there were several things that happened all at once which made me have to modify things, but i think everyone will like it:thumbsup2

So I have a QOTD if that's okay with everyone... :goodvibes
Well, two questions actually...

1. How are you getting to the cruise? Planes, trains, automobiles... what's the plan?

2. Who's the planner in your family and how crazy of a planner is that person?

:cool1::woohoo::banana:21 Days!! :cool1::woohoo::banana:

We are flying to Orlando, staying the night at a nearby hotel and taking the Express to the ship.

I'm the planner, of course. Always have been. Everyone else is just responsible for packing their bags and showing up.

I have a couple of questions if you dont mind, i asked on the facebook page but i figured i'd ask here as well:

QOTD:
1. Who is going to the 3pm meetup:banana:
2. Who else is dressing up for pirate nightpirate:

we will be there and Zander and I are!

1. We will be at meet and greet.

2. We Arrrrr (the three of us have costumes)

1. Jon, Melissa, Taylor, and Mackenzie will attend
2. We will.

12 days for us! I gotta get packin:faint:

1. We're driving down from South Carolina on the 16th to visit Kennedy Space Center with our 3 boys on the 17th.
What part of South Carolina? I'm in in the Dirty Myrtle!

Columbia! Not too far from you...
We're staying at the CI&S too. Were you staying there also? I'm getting everyone confused!

Thanks for the advice on the tooth! I will call Monday just to see if there is something easy but temporary to do until I get back. It's just a little achy today, probably just because I know about it now.:rolleyes2

QOTD:
1. We'll be there (me, hubby, 3 teenage boys)
2. I found matching pirate tshirts for all the guys in my family and got them bandanas to go along with them. I found a peasant/wench shirt on ebay also. BUUUTT...we have Palo that night at 7:00 and I'm not sure if the hubby and I will have time to get back to the room, change, and find the boys (they'll be at the main dining time by themselves that night - oldest is in college so they'll be fine). I also saw that Capt. Jack Sparrow will be available for pictures on the same night (didn't notice him available for any other day on the ship) and I really, really, REALLY want a picture with him! But the first time he's available my kids will be at dinner, the 2nd time we'll be at Palo. It's kinda sad I'm thinking of cancelling or at the least moving Palo just to get this picture....I'm just a tad bit obsessed.

Yep! I saw that too. But I am NOT going to get a picture of me in my bathing suit with Capt. Jack! :faint: No, no, no. I want I picture I can at least show other people! :rolleyes1

We'll be at the meet-up.

Not so much for the Pirate Night. DW will wear a pirate wench costume she has and I will be wearing a pirate themed aloha shirt, but it seems DD and DS haven't quite caught the spirit yet.

I'll be there, probably dragging my husband and sis-in-law with me whether they wanna go or not.
I bought all of us bandanas... though I'll probably (again) be the only one excited to wear it! I think our Palo ressie is that night too though, so I'll just be changing for the deck party after.

Nice! Jason just got back from Columbia about an hour ago, we're originally from PA but are becoming USC fans, he went to watch some baseball. Go Gamecocks! We're driving down to Savannah or so Thursday night and driving in Friday morning, so no, we're not staying at CI&S. We're headed to AKV after though.
