Well, remember last year when we started posting stuff relevant to WDW? Like pics of our resort, ride photos, pics of the food...

I started today off with a video from Splash Mountain.

I'm trying to remember....I'm just SO behind with EVERYTHING. I mean I JUST finished posting my itinerary!

I fake bake too before I make my trip down south. Pastey white isn't so attractive in shorts. You need to get away and glad that you can eat too. I so wish I could've taken advantage of the free dining.

well I live in the south but my problem is genetics.

I am starting to get a base tan, thankfully! It takes me a while to get dark though.

I would definitely go with matching colors. I think light blue sounds great

Marshay did one with red and I think last year might have been blue and they looked awesome

I think we'll be going with white since my cousin just let me borrow a dress of hers. And since I'm poor so I don't want to go buy something new.

well I think we're going with white. That *could* change though. I like the way blue brings out my eyes. I just don't want to spend the money so I don't know....

Day 7 looks fun and not too structured and nice ending with Le Cellier - yum yum! Day 8, the inevitable going home day looks fun too ...I like that y'all are just leaving it open to whatever you feel like. Hopefully you'll have some good CS credits left for a good last meal there.

And as far as the photopass session, just be careful with Mike and a white shirt (if he's anything like me) if y'all are going to be eating before the session. I would SO end up spilling something on the shirt

Not much time left, have fun with all the last minute prep stuff and the tanning and such. I hope you two have a great time and are able to get away from all of the heavy family stuff and work stuff you've had to deal with recently

Hey Cheri, I am going to "try" and get my seasonal pass soon if I can swing it. Let me know, again, lol, where you are staying and when we can meet up. Even if I can only get over to Disney for an hour, I want to do that. I'm thinking I could come to the resort and park there as they don't charge for parking at the resorts, LOL, see I'm not nearly as dumb as I look. Then come meet up with you and everyone else at the one time at the little party!

Then there's 2 other "disturbances" out in the Atlantic which they think could become storms.

I am just praying that my vacation doesn't get disrupted by any of these things! I've been looking forward to this for a year now!

Hey y'all!

Yesterday was a very busy day trying to get my house clean for the people staying here (Mike's grandma and cousin....possibly more) and doing laundry since I will not be able to do it once we lose power (okay...uhh...IF we lose power? I'm not very optimistic about that though...our power has gone out with little teeny thunderstorm winds!)

My house still needs work and I still have laundry to do! I had a few loads of bedding yesterday because I had to do the sheets and each blanket separately b/c they were too big to put in together. So that took up so much time in the wash. What a pain!

The one thing that really brought a smile to my face was when I'd find one of my "Disney shirts" ie. I plan on wearing to Disney.
The only thing I'm concerned with is I have 2 black shirts that I really would like to wear b/c they are Disney (one is Tinkerbell and one is Jack Sparrow) but I wonder if they'll make me too hot. They are both t-shirts. If they were tank tops I wouldn't really be as worried.
What do y'all think?

As far as the Hurricane prep goes, we've got all our windows boarded up, including the side french doors. It looks like a fortress here! We should start getting some rain bands tonight, possibly some winds as well...
So we moved all the stuff from the patio into the garage.
We've got plenty of snacks, canned foods, water, and liquor
The best thing is we bought a generator! Mike had to put it on the credit card but we figured it was a pretty wise investment.
We'll be able to run our fridge and deep freezer, so we don't lose all that food! Thankfully!
We'll also have some fans going. Whew!

Mike's grandma and cousin came yesterday. And I've invited my parents, but they are travelling with my Uncle and Mawmaw who both say they NEED air conditioning, so they are going to a hotel--in MOBILE of all places! I don't think they should go there. Maybe they watched the news last night and heard the same thing I did about Mobile experiencing hurricane winds and will change their mind. I just hope they will be safe wherever they are and that my parents house and Mawmaw's trailer will be okay (they received a mandatory evacuation yesterday so they're getting out today)

Oh, I'm working remotely from home Tuesday...I have a work laptop and a binder with all the information I will need.


So I also have this "Disneyworld list" up in Word right now. It's not ALL I have to do to prepare, but it has several things that I thought of yesterday as I was cleaning so I pulled up a Word document and typed them in. I'd like to share this with you! Some of these will deserve an explanation so I'll do that after the list.

Ladies and gents, my first list!!:

1. Make LGMH’s & Flat Mommom
2. Find flight information and call Disney with that info (by MONDAY)
3. Call Disney and add on WPFnM option and Park hopper
4. Call Vet to find out how much it costs to board Chance (from evening of Friday 12th til Saturday the 20th (night?….or it will have to be Sunday 21st)
5. Call Disney reservations and ask for King Sized bed
6. Call Pop a couple days before and confirm King sized bed request (and close building)
7. Organize makeup and determine which stuff I want to bring
8. Sort through “sample drawer” and decide what we will need
9. Make sure we have enough bandaids etc
10. Clean out pictures on camera memory cards

Let me explain:
1. I don't think I have to explain the LGMH's... I'm taking a flat version of DisneyMommom with me to WDW! I sure hope I can get her made in time! Mike's going to think I'm nuts!
2. Unfortunately I thought I had the email from SW saved but I don't! I need to find the info b/c I forgot to call Disney info to tell them for MExpress
3. I had taken these options off so that I wouldn't have to pay for them yet. I know, kind of cheesy of me, but money has been tight! ($400 electric bill 2 months in a row!
4. None of my family will take this HORSE(who can blame them), so I need to call and find out what my vet charges...I hope they are cheap on boarding. Also since we're leaving so early Saturday morning, we'll need to take him there Friday evening. And upon our return I'm not sure if we'll be able to get him Saturday night.

6. They always say to confirm this with your actual resort (and we had already requested a building close to the main area too)
7. My makeup is kind of a mess right now, and I have the bare minerals separate from the rest. I can't take all of it, because there's too much, so I need to figure out what essentials I'm taking, what color eyeshadows, etc.
8. Yes, I have a "sample drawer" ---I'm the sample queen, remember!
9. Last year I brought bandaids and blister bandages, just in case. We hardly used any since then so I think we have plenty so I don't have to buy any more, but I need to go digging because Mike has got that cabinet all messed up. And somehow he misplaced the neosporin.
10. Need to free up all the space for Disney!!

Sounds like you've really been thinking about what to do to get ready for WDW. Your list is great! I'm not nearly that organized. I'm just ready to go....

I forgot to comment on the black shirt thing. I, by a personal rule of mine, never pack black shirts to wear at WDW. It attracts the sun way too much and can really dehydrate you. Case and point, last year I bought the shirt for MNSSHP.....while we were there....guess what color it was.....BLACK!! I was SO hot and SO tired by around 2 or 3pm that we went into one of the resturants while it wasn't crowded and sat in there for about an hour because I was feeling so drained and hot I couldn't bear it any longer. I would advise against wearing those black shirts to the parks. Now, if you plan on wearing them in the evening to PI or DTD, I'd think that would be safe. Just my humble opinion and experiance with a black shirt at the same time of year last year.
