The Bacon strikes again! Bouncin' back in Sept! UPDATE: We're back! What a trip! p43

I'm so glad you translated PIF:lmao: I was racking my brains trying to figure out what it meant. Congratulations! That's a great feeling isn't it? I love that feeling.

There are a few of you that already know this, but I wanted to announce it here so my readers will know where I've been.

It's my Grandma. She's not doing well. In fact, she probably will not make it through the week. Last week she stopped eating and talking. My aunt(who has POA) allowed the hospital to give her a feeding tube, even though her will states that she did not want anything like that.
Finally after a few days they took away the tube. Then her kidneys started failing. And her lungs got fluid in them. My family has been at the hospital constantly. I was up there Friday(left work early), and for 80% of my weekend.

It's a difficult time for my family, and I have kept to myself about it mostly. I'm sorry I haven't come around to tell y'all sooner.

It's quite understandable why you haven't been around----so sorry to hear that you have had to go through this---it is so rough!! Please know that we are all thinking of you and your entire family! I pray that your grandmother does not suffer and that you all can find comfort in each other!! We are all thinking of you sweetie!!!

I pray for comfort for you and your family.

thank you so much!

thank you. The main thing to me is that she does not suffer. The hospital is "keeping her comfortable" as they say. She's on oxygen, and they give her morphine every 2 hours. Over the past few days she's gotten more and more out of it. We're not sure if she can still hear, but we hope she can. We've been talking to her a lot. We share old stories about the fun times we've had, and I always tell her that "if you could talk, I'll bet you'd tell that man next door to shut up huh Grandma" and then I told her "that crazy man took his clothes off again" (There's an elderly man in the room next door that is always shouting and taking off his gown. I think he is schizophrenic. He's tried to get out of bed several times too. I'm not making fun, I know it's sad, but if my grandma were alert I know she'd get a little humor out of it. One time, I was walking past and I saw him naked on the bed and he was hollering for me to help him. )

I guess I just try to keep it light. I don't want to be sad and crying around her. I'd rather make her smile and laugh on the inside. :goodvibes

thank you

I'm here and I'm trying to catch up!

Hopefully I'll be up to date in the next few days! I'm just reading the crawfish boil.

I guess I have a ways to go!

God took her home mid-day yesterday. She went peacefully. The services will be tomorrow so I will not be around much, til maybe this weekend.

Oh sweetheart!!! I'm so sorry---my thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family. Glad she went peacefully, we all know she is in a much better place. I will pray that God will bring comfort and peace to you all as well!!! Sending hugs---Jen

So sorry to hear about your grandma. It doesn't make it easier, but I know that she's in a better place and she's at peace. Hugs and comfort to you and your family:hug:

I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother. When my grandfather passed away two years ago, we all knew it was coming, but it was still painful. I'm glad you all were able to be there with her. Your family is in my thoughts.

I am so sorry Cheri.

I will be thinking of you and your family in the days to come

Sending lots of hugs your way.

Day 7, Sept 19 – DTD/Disney Quest?/Epcot

-I am sure we’ll be sleeping in after that long night ;)
-We will have breakfast at Pop
-Probably hang around the resort a little, maybe get caricatures drawn? Or just go straight to DTD for the shops.
-If we didn’t eat EofS on the 17th, we’ll eat lunch there. (Heck, we may eat there AGAIN even if we did) -- we’d probably want to eat around 11 since we have an early dinner)
-We will most likely go to DisneyQuest, which opens at 11:30 am. (it might not be there next time, who knows! :confused )
-Spend a couple hours there, and then head back to the resort to freshen up.
-Head to Epcot for ADR @ Le Cellier at 4:00 pm (YUMMMM!!!) I got a dinner ADR!! That means I get the mushroom filet this time!!
-Stay for the evening EMH’s!!

Next: 9 days left! Let's get excited!
