I read your newest update too. That "bike" is AWESOME!!! I'm so jealous that Mike got to go for a ride in it. How come the guy didn't want to take the pretty girl (aka you) for a ride? That thing is just sweet! Who is that guy anyways? Like, who knows him and how is he affiliated with that group? I'd be friends with him just so I could get a ride is that wrong?

And I like the picture of you and your sister with the sun behind you. Those pictures are always so pretty to me

oh I'm sure you'll catch the face at some point! Probably when I am drunk...hahaha

Well, what happened was...Mike and this guy were talking in the backyard during the boil(I was there for PART of the convo), and we found out that thing we saw was his trike. He told Mike he'd take him for a spin, and I told Mike I wanted to go watch and take pictures when they finally got to go. WELL, later on at some point, I was looking for him, and someone told me where he was---out riding the trike! I was peeved with him for not telling me--you'd think he'd want to be sure to come get me so he could have plenty of pictures of the moment!
I didn't get to see him take off at all. My sister came with me to the front of the house, and we didn't see them anywhere, so we knew they were already out and about. It was what seemed like forever...so my sister and I began snapping random pictures(the "sun" pics), and took some self portraits with both of our cameras. My sister has an affinity for the self-portrait. She's always been good at it and I think I learned her trick finally (or a trick, anyway). If you look at your reflection in the camera, whatever you see is usually what the picture will look like
Did everyone else know that and I'm just a moron?

Anyway, we waited and waited for them to come back, and those 2 pictures you see were ALL I got of them coming in "for a landing" since they were going so fast. Thankfully I managed a couple decent (but not great) shots.

After they pulled in there were a few more people in front of the house, so I didn't even think to ask for a ride then. Too many people around. But also, Mike said he was even a little scared the way he took turns so quickly. He said that sucker can MOVE! The engine is also really loud and right behind your head as you sit in it, so it's best to have earplugs. It would have been pretty cool but I was happy with just sitting in it. And I knew Mike really got some enjoyment out of it so I was happy for him!

The owner was a "Wine guy" who apparently sells a lot of wine to Jerry and Laurie. I think he's a distributor and has recently started up his business. I could be way off with that, but I know he did something with wine. We just called him the "wine guy" or the "trike guy"

I'd be friends with him too! He was a really nice guy. I mean, that was so cool of him to give Mike a ride. No one else there got that privelege. I guess he and Mike "hit it off" in conversation, and of course Mike talked about his bike. He probably hinted at asking for a ride at some point...I know I would've!

We left off at the end of the crawfish boil Saturday evening, and the fun with the trike.
On Sunday morning, we woke up around 9 and had some coffee. We all hung around the kitchen for a while, chatting about how much fun we had and how grateful we were for them to invite us and graciously let Mike and I stay over there (reminder: My Mom, Dad, and sister all stayed at LINDA’s down the street).

Unfortunately, we had to get our stuff all packed up to load in the SUV and start heading for home.

Here are all my purchases all bagged up! I couldn’t fit them in my bag hahaha

I attempted a self portrait since I was having a good hair day! teehee

The bacon didn’t last long in our stomachs so we had to stop off eventually…

Now it’s time to focus on the pre-trip planning for September, and I must not forget to throw some updates together soon, however small they are, of my trip from last year. Since I’m feeling better (Thank GOD!) I am ready to get this on a roll!

BTW I have Carla working on editing my tattoo pictures so that I have some options to choose from. She's trying to modify one and I'll certainly show y'all what I mean later.

It is funny that you went to Santa Rosa Beach - I just came back from Santa Rosa, CA a couple of weeks ago (went there for my nephew-in-law's HS grad and my bro-in-law's b-day ).

I'm looking forward to hearing more about the WDW planning and all your adventures

I like the Hong Kong one, too. Especially after taking out the other stuff around it and getting a good look. I printed it out and I want to cut it out, tape it to my shoulder, and get Mike to take a picture and hopefully that can give me a little feel for what it would look like, if I like it as it is, where to put it, etc.

I think all of our PReTR are slowing down some, that is hte downside of posting it so early...but i am sure they will be alive and kicken when the TR part of it starts.
