Ahh good ole Jesse Palmer from my Alma Mater. I can't stand watching this but yet can't turn away. He came to UF a year after I graduated. I was still living in Gainesville. I can remember him being a pimply-face freshman. ROFLMBO.

The funny thing was there was a girl who made it to the final cuts who actually had won a date with Jesse Palmer during his Freshman year during Gator Growl. I don't think they ever went out on the date. She got cut because they were afraid of the previous affiliation. I think THAT would have been interesting.

Edited to add: Duh I knew that one girl looked familiar. I just couldn't place her. Got it now.

I was checking out The Bachelor website and on their message board are some links that show Jenny S. is the spy.

She went to Univ. of FL and was a swimmer there. There is a link with her picture on it. Then there is a link, linking her husband and Jenny S.

I really like Celeste, Mandy the soccer player and the med student. Didn't Chris Harrison say the Trish is going to be the most hated girl in bachelor history? That makes me think that she might be the stalker.

So far I like Jesse. I reserve the right to change my opinion later though.

I loved when they were showing Jesse's friends. I can't believe they said that one girl looked like one of their teamates! How embarassing for her.

All in all, I think this is going to be a more interesting season that the Bob or Meredith ones. Both of them bored me.

If Jesse doesn't pick Kristen K. (the med student) then I will gladly marry her, she is adorable. I also like the soccer player. I thought Trish looked great in her photos but when she was standing next to Jesse she was way too tall for me. I can't stand the Julie (NFL cheerleader) or Karen (I was in pagents so I'm perfect!) This season is gonna get very interesting. Thank god I have Tivo

Just an FYI, ABC made a goof and released info on 24 of the 25 bachelorettes to the media a while back. I found a link that showed the 24 so it's easy to spot who the "spy" is. Also the article says that we'll find out the next episode anyway...

I am PROUD to say that I have NEVER watched an episode of any Bachelor(ette) series! However, for lack of anything better to watch last night, I succumbed to this one! OK - got my interest. I gather from reading this thread that they're trying to do something different this time around. I think Jesse is darling ('course I'm old enough to be his Mama!) Looking forward to finding out who is the Mole - I mean Spy!

Just wanted to chime in and say when we talked about this at work this morning we agreed the spy was probably Jenny S. We also agreed he ends up with two blondes and a brunette.Who knows if this is true but we discuss the Bachelor every Thursday a.m. and it seems to be a good one.

I am personally also rooting for the med student and the soccer player. They definately seemed more"real" to me. Some of the other girls seem a little too much into the future income of the Bachelor!

I wonder what the point is of keeping the spy's identity a secret for such a short time? I would've liked to have seen her checking out the other women on the first night.
I've always been surprised no one has ever called the wrong name or forgotten the name of someone to present with a rose! I could never learn 25 new names in a couple of hours!

Did he pick that 21 yr. old blonde that kept talking about how she didn't want to work, except maybe part time, and that she was really interested in Jesse because he had a job to support her? I remember her talking, but a lot of those blondes look alike with the long straight hair. I can't tell if she is one that was picked or not.

Okay he is so totally hot!! WOW!! he is by far the hottest one. i think the spy is that dark haired one that is real tall that he gave the first impression rose to. i dont know why i just do. i cant wait till next week to see what goes on. but wait ill be in disney!!! that will be one episode ill miss!!!! but thats okay. tons of hot guys my age there.... i would take that over the bachelor any day!!!!

I told myself I was swearing off "The Bachelor" series. Nope. I wasn't going to get hooked again - NOT ME! So I didn't PLAN to watch last night.....

TiVO had other ideas.

I never canceled the Season Pass, so it started recording the show last night. And darn if I didn't watch it anyway. Can't help it. I'm powerless over my TiVO!

So far I like Jesse. I was impressed at how he owned up to his mistake and said that he got himself into the mess and he had to get himself out. He seems pretty genuine but we'll see as the series goes on. And he is SOOOOO easy on the eyes!

I love the spy idea! I really don't know who it is, but the idea of it being Katy is a good one. After all, I don't really think this is the first time someone has forgotten a name, especially on the first night. Or it could be Jenny S. since not much attention was given to her.

I absolutely do NOT like Trish. Saying on national TV that she wanted him to see long legs that, "... might be wrapped around him someday." Uh HUH (ahem... cough cough). Now THAT'S something that will make your mama proud! I found Karen a bit fake. I think Jean Marie has a bit of an Elizabeth Hurley look to her, don't you?

I liked Mandy C. and Kristin the best - confident with oodles of personality, yet not showy or pushy in any way.

So fellow fans, I imagine we'll be meeting here on a regular basis. See you all next week!

Some did, and they showed it on the outtakes, NEVER on the show! That's why this one sounds fishy to me.

I guess I will watch this one. I'm sort of hoping they'll get older people, I find watching the very young too much of a reminder of MY mistakes!

I think they faked the wrong name scenerio to explain 16 roses, instead of 15. They had to offer 16 roses to cover giving one to the spy. The girls would wonder why there was a change in the first rose ceremony. They'd also feel cheated if one of 15 roses was given to a spy instead of a real contestant. They had to give 16 roses and this was a clever way hide it.
