Whoo! Watching live! I usually watch the next day because I'm usually putting my daughter to bed from 7:30-8 (and DH is usually out of town Mondays)...but I put her down to bed early tonight to watch.

uggghhh..just got in the door,,,and didnt set the DVR to waste 3 hours of space...I missed all of Whitney's date..started watching as Becca was pulling up. Did I miss anything eventful?

I started at the same spot--probably just missed Whitney being Whitney.

I do hope the next bachelor is more articulate! I was surprised to see him actually able to pull a little more info from Becca. He seems really hurt that Becca is not ready to move to Iowa AT ALL.

I started in the same spot. He's treating this like a contest. So Whitney told him all he wanted to hear, I gather. Whereas Becca couldn't. It's not based on how he FEELS. It seems to be based on who the sure thing will be. Except we KNOW these relationships never last. Even when they promise the moon. So go with the person you really LOVE.

It's never a sure thing in the beginning. He & Becca just aren't there YET. Ans arbitrary time line was put on them that's not authentic to how slowly they are moving.

What I would love to see is his mother getting a make over. She is actually quite pretty and needs work.

WOW! She looks like a real, normal person to me. But then I don't color my hair or wear makeup or try to keep up with trendy fashion either.

I think it is obvious who Chris wants to pick but is afraid to take the chance on her. I feel bad for Whitney if he picks her she will look like a second choice.

I think Becca is 23 or 24 and Chris is like 30 or 31. I think Chris is seeing just how strong she really is..in the fact that she is being so honest and not caving just to cave by some tv show deadline.

But this is what I think might (ok... should) happen.

Chris realizes that Whitney is the girl he's always thought of marrying, but he can't get past the fact that every time she speaks, the cows' milk goes sour. Not willing to risk the corn (who knows? Do cornfields have ears?... sorry about that.) he decides that since he's infatuated with Becca, he might as well ask her to be his wife.
Becca refuses on the not so unreasonable grounds that she's young and hot and Chris is old, boring and boring.
So Chris, feeling a tad perplexed, calls up the other rejects, er, finalists and asks them if they'd be interested.
Because he didn't know what he was doing then but he sure knows now!
Kaitlyn says unfortunately she can't, because, really, she was an illegal alien. Yeah, that's it.
Jade couldn't come to the phone because she's in the middle of a photo shoot and she's too shy to put some clothes on to talk right now.
So that leaves Britt, who immediately bursts into tears of course, says yes, and they happily never shower forever after.

I don't know - he seems so utterly clueless that I'm beginning to think a Bachelor or Bachelorette where we get to pick is in order. Can you imagine? What fun.
