The Bachelor - An Officer and a Gentlemen

the editing is so manipulative in this show...they give you bits and pieces from confessionals which make it sound like he is really into someone, however, how do we know he isn't talking about another woman? Notice how he never mentions names when he says something really meaningful? It's driving me nuts. You truly don't know until the very end! I hope it's Tessa. It just seems like Bevin isn't the type of girl that would be in for the long haul. I think it's just a lot of passion between them right now that will burn out quickly. Tessa seems more into him on more levels!

I think he'd have more fun with Bevin in the long run. I thought it was sweet that he was so emotional over sending Danielle away. Tessa seems to be the obvious pick but we might be suprised. That friend of his, Gatsby, didn't he seem like a shrink or something? He asked questions like no other 'best friend' would. Weird.

I don't see Bevin and Andy lasting long term. I think Bevin is the type of girl who would get bored with Andy.

I'm hoping he chooses Tessa - she seem like a really nice girl and seem to really like Andy.

In the previews they showed Andy standing with both Tessa and Bevin at the end - Bevin looks like she's smiling and looking down - Tessa has her back to the camera so we can't see her expression - by the editing it looks like he picks Bevin - I hope they are just trying to throw us off.

Yeah. I think Andy cried more than Danielle did. Not just the tears they showed him wiping away. Did you notice how red is eyes & nose were when he came back to Bevin & Tessa?

But when Tessa is shown hugging Andy with her back to the camera....the rose is still on the table next to him. :confused3

So, that was shot BEFORE he gave rose to anyone? So why are they hugging next to the rose table? It think its a staged shot.

I'm hoping he picks Tessa by the way.

Last night after The Bachelor our local news had a "Secrets of the Bachelor" segment. It featured several of the Houston area girls like Amber and Erica. All of them complained about the editing as well as how there are almost always people behind the scenes making crazy suggestions to the girls. Remember how Tina sang to Andy...well before that they tried to get another girl to sing Happy Birthday to him just like Marilyn Monroe did to JFK but she refused. Also, as you probably already know, the girls are supplied and encouraged to drink lots of alcohol. The girls are frequently offered shots.
They also complained about the Rose Ceremonies. They actually are filmed over a long period of time. The one our local news talked about started at 4:00p.m. and ended at 7:00 a.m. No wonder they looked stressed. They are probably just exhausted and drunk!

*************SPOILER ALERT*******************************

The girls would not comment on the record who they thought Andy picked but all of them picked Tessa off the record. This supports the Page 6 article that says Tessa admitted she was picked after a few drinks with a reporter.

That's so funny you should mention that. I said to my DH last night that they sure talked alot for men! Have you EVER heard or seen a man talk like that to another man about a girl he's intersted in? That converstaion was way too deep for the average guy to guy chat!! LOL!!!

I didn't see the rose sitting on the table. Maybe that was when Tessa first arrived and he hugged her.

Danielle was pretty upset, but she was very classy in the way she handled it. She definitely had a few tears, but she wasn't sobbing and moaning. Plus she wished him well and happiness which is a nice thing to do.

I did like Danielle, and I really like Tessa. I just can't get past all the drama we saw from Bevin. The hysterics in the bathroom that one time when she hurt her ankle and thought that might hamper her chances, the way she manipulated alone time with Andy when he was supposed to be with all the girls. Certain things about her have bugged me all along, and I just can't jump on the Bevin bandwagon. Plus, I think his attraction for her is purely physical. I am officially pulling for Tessa.

By the way, did the editing last night bug anyone else? All week they have been showing commercials of Andy giving Tessa the fantasy suite envelope and asking her if she would go, then they showed Tessa looking serious and saying "I don't know". That never happened during the show last night. She said yes right away.

We've been discussing this at work today and we all agree that the editing is really set up to throw us off. Especially the whole fantasy suite situation with Tessa.

Danielle handled herself really well last night but I haven't been impressed by her much this season. She has the personality of a tree stump. Just my opinion though. I am definitely on Team Tessa.

:cheer2: :cheer2: Team Tessa!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

I LIKE THAT!!:thumbsup2

Yep, the editing is the same every year... when are they gonna figure out that if we're watching this long we're probably gonna stick around till the end??? popcorn::

I only watch the Tessa parts... the other two girls were a turn off. Andy is so obviously INTO her... I actually feel embarrassed for the others!

I loved that part with the little girl on the boat... "this is my girlfriend, isn't she PRETTY?" He becomes a little kid around her~

And that little girl looked like she could've cared LESS!! :hippie:

What kind of BUGS me is that Bevin.. who doesn't seem too STABLE imho, will be the one who gets her heart broken the worse. There is a long thread on the abc.com message board about BEVIN'S PARTING GIFTS... some of them are HYSTERICAL!!!!

This show would make a good drinking game....drink a shot everytime he says "women".

He says it a lot.

There is actually a website that has a (funny) Bachelor Drinking Game. You are supposed to drink any time someone says "amazing", "journey", "alone time", "connection", or "rose", among others. If anyone actually did have a drink any time any of those words was uttered, they'd be passed out by the time the show was over.

I agree, I didn't like her at all. I got really tired of hearing about her boyfriend passing away. It's understandable that it may still upset her at times, but it seems like it came up every single time she and Andy spoke. I got a little annoyed by her Monday night because twice she said that she "suffered the ultimate loss". It's only my opinion, but I just don't think that losing a college boyfriend is the "ultimate" loss. Maybe I'm alone, but losing a parent, sibling, spouse, or child would be much more devastating to me.

I was thinking the same thing. Plus, if you were Andy, how do you feel hearing about you girlfriend's late boyfriend all the time? He had to complete with a dead man - that can't feel so great.

I was glad to see that Danielle seemed so mature about the whole thing, wishing him well etc. And the comments she made about her time with Andy showing her she CAN move on and be happy. I give her props for jumping into this show with all the reservations and mixed feelings I'm sure she had. I just don't think she's there a 100% yet - and I think Andy knew that too.

there is just something about him that seems fake or something I can't put my finger on. I think he will pick Tess, nto sure why just a feeling.

I AGREE!! If you are talking all the time about a loss you are not over the pain and should not be looking for another relationship! Tessa seems to be the only one without a lot of baggage. Didn't care much for Tessa's family though. The friends would get on my nerves really fast!

Losing a child or a a whole family would be the ultimate loss. One boyfriend even if you are in love is painful, but not the worst. I know that for a fact first hand.
