Lindsay...

don't think that all of that reflects on you. You are not your Dad.
Aimee, wow that looks really cool! I don't follow car racing but I think driving one of those babies would be really fun! You look so professional in that outfit!
Here are some photos from yesterday. I go to the farmer's market on Fridays. Here is what I managed to purchase before a lightning storm blew in. I literally ran away I was so scared of the storm!
We had burgers last night. Here is John's:
By the way, John told me that this burger was a little overcooked.
I made myself a turkey burger but it was gag-tastic. I am done with turkey burgers, I just don't like them. From now on I will either have a veggie burger or an egg sandwich (which is what I ended u making myself last night).
I also made some slaw, regular, not the usual spicy one:
OK, so this leads to a story about my Mom. I think you guys know that they live next door. This makes it convenient if I run out of something in the kitchen, because I can always run over and borrow from them. Well yesterday I did not have enough mayonaisse to make the slaw so I ran next door. I was telling my Mom that I was going to make regular slaw, not the spicy one I usually do, and she mentioned that she uses Miracle Whip to make her slaw. She convinced me to give it a try and handed me the bottle. I was about to scoop some out when I noticed the expiration date: November 7, 2007!!!

She insisted it was "still good," but needless to say I borrowed the regular mayo!
Final photo from last night: homemade fries tossed with herbs and parmesean...YUM:
I am making a big antipasto spread for today, my parents, Laura and the kids are coming over (I am making tacos for the kids).
SLOW COOKER QUESTION: I was going to make some sausages and put them with sauce in a slow cooker. I don't have or know how to use a slow cooker (I borrowed this one), so am looking for some advice. If I cook the sausages all the way through and then add them to the cooker with heated sauce on low heat, is that safe? For how many hours?
Thanks!
