Well, it's still early in May, I think it would be in the upper 80's lower 90's maybe. I don't have much tolerance for the heat, though. I live fairly close to Lebanon - just across the river from Harrisburg. Let's just say that last weekend and the beginning of this week were misery.
We went to WDW the first week in December and it was around 60 or so the time. My husband will only go there at that time now.
You should still have a great time, though!

I would rather go when it is hot not when it is cold. For some reason the heat and humidity don't bother me. On our next trip we are going in December and the temperature is the only thing I am worried about. When it drops below 70 degrees I can't seem to stay warm. I am hoping that just being in such a happy and magical place will help.

We're leaving Thurs. for the Poly too! We'll see you there!:woohoo:

Great pictures and information on the Poly. My friend and I are bringing my mom (her first time to WDW) to the Poly in a few weeks for a 5 night stay...

:cool1: Have a great time!

I'm the same way :cutie:

firstmickey I'm sorry but I don't the answer - someone else will, though. There are definitely outside showers by each pool for rinsing off but as far as taking a shower to bathe, I just don't know.
GF's Waterfall pool house/restroom does so my guess is that the Poly's does too but I'm just not sure.

Hey all, so now the DD First Communion has past us we are now in full planning mode.

We decided to do the Wildlife excursion that is offered to CL guests. We have not been to DAK yet so I think this will be the a great addition to our trip!

We also are planning on two MNSSHP. We will buy tickets for the 9/22 party and then keep the eve of the 25th free, and if tickets are available while we are there we will go a second time. We did this for the MVMCP party and it was great!

Now just waiting for Sept hours so I can get our requests to the IPO. One month to wait for those!

Keep your trip resports coming :thumbsup2 It keeps me going!

Our DS' 1st communion is tommorrow and I can't wait until its over and I can start looking at menus! I hate that Sept hours don't come out until June, Thank goodness we're going at the end of the month and have a couple of weeks to plan. How close to the 90 days can you send your requests to IPO? I don't want to cut it too close and tick them off !

Have a wonderful First Communion.:goodvibes We really enjoyed our day!

Our ADR date is 6/21 so I figure if the hours come out on or around 6/1, that should be plenty of time to get the requests to the IPO. I have all the decisions made, I just need to plug them into each day. :thumbsup2

So at what point will Disney reservations and the Poly IPO start thinking I'm crazy? We've changed our reservation so many times (dates, resort, booking category, to dine or not to dine) that even I'm exhausted :rotfl:. Our vaca is in July and last night my DH told me to rebook the CL! I emailed the IPO this morning and I'm sure they think that we are crazy!!

We're going Oct. 25th through Nov. 2nd with the in-laws. They're so excited to stay at the Poly!! Do they do anything special for Halloween? We've never gone this time of year so I have no idea. Thanks! Love this thread by the way!:goodvibes:goodvibes

Don't worry -- you're not the only one!:rotfl: I think they are pretty much used to us all by now!:) Plus, the IPO CMs don't "see" all the changes you make with CRO, just the ones that affects them.:)

Does anyone know if the pool bathroom has a shower?

No traditional shower like you'd have in a gym or in your hotel room. Just the usual stalls. As johnsonet mentioned there are showers outside to get the chlorine off but that's about it.

We were at WDW in September and stayed at CSR so excited for the change and to be on the monorail. We also went to the Poly to check it out and had dinner at the Kona at the Poly and had a great dinner.

You are going to love being on the monorail! :cloud9: So easy and quick to get around. It will make you spoiled if you ever have to stay at a non-monorail resort. One of the coolest things at the Poly is after dining at one of the restaurants, you get to take that leisurely walk back to your room. Wonderful.

We're staying at CSR this summer (DD's choice) and I will be going through 'monorail withrdawal' like crazy. :lmao:

They have the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom and MK is also decked our for fall but as far as the resorts, check out this page to see if anything interests you.

Have a great trip.

Uh - oh, is it THAT hot and humid now? I'm already planning my second trip (even before my first one has started, haha) when do you suggest the best time to go?

Weather-wise, the best times to go is between November and May. The humidity starts to kick up around late May and things really simmer from then through almost early November. The humidity doesn't bother me as much as I'm used to it but the soaking constant rain they had in August for Tropical Storm Faye was plain awful. :scared1: Made me never want to visit in August again.

On our next trip we are going in December and the temperature is the only thing I am worried about. When it drops below 70 degrees I can't seem to stay warm. I am hoping that just being in such a happy and magical place will help.

Oh, I'm absolutely miserable when the temps drop below 60 during the day *but*, it was different when were were at Disney in December. It added to the festive atmosphere of the season without being 'bone chilling'. Plus, since I discovered the wonderful HeatGear clothing from UnderArmor, that stuff is great for keeping warm.

Now last year in December it was absolutely HOT! The temperature didn't drop into the 70's until after we left. :lmao:

So this may be a really obvious question but how does online check-in work and what are the benefits? :confused3

Does anyone know if the Poly room service menu had a "special deliveries" section with chocolate strawberries or polynesian themed chocolates and cookies (I know AKL has a section for special items with animal chocolates and cookies etc.). We are going this summer and I would like to order special treats our first night.
Thanks :)

Does anyone know how big the safes are? Will a laptop fit in it?

I think it depends on the laptop. Some people have reported that their laptops fit in the safe, my DH says that his did not. He has a MacBookPro, though, so it may be larger than yours.:confused3 Hope this helps!:)

Now that would be perfect! Christmas decorations and warm weather! I am going to keep my fingers crossed that we will have that kind of weather. Though we do have a long time to wait.

In the resort photo section, under the poly thread there is a picture of a laptop in the safe. I don't remember which page it is on though. Here is the link http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1591953

Wow, thanks guys! This is the best thread ever.

We go our documents today. How do you go about doing online check in?
