Our six year old loves Chef Mickey's. We're headed back during or stay in June, too.

Sorry, I have no experience with princess meals.

I've never been able to post TWO happy dance posts in the same year, but I just came back a couple weeks ago and I AM GOING AGAIN THIS JUNE! So excited! :D

Count me in!!!! We are booked for Pop June 5-10!! I am trying to plan and do ADR's right now!

Any thought on Chef Mickey's? We have never done it. Bfast or Dinner.

Also, what about a Princess meal? DD and I did CRT last time, would like to do something that is 1 TS this time. Thanks!

Hi! OK, I ate at Chef Mickey's earlier this month for breakfast, and I had a few issues.

1. I felt rushed by the characters. Mickey and Goofy didn't even stop to pose with my husband. They just waved and left. :(
2. Some of the food from the buffet was cold.
3. It was January and I'd forgotten that the Contemporary is open b/c of the monorail. I WAS FREEZING! (not the fault of Chef Mickey's--just something to add to the overall not so great experience)

Akershus is a good 1 TS meal for Princesses. You do have to guarantee your reservation with a credit card. You get a photo that you can also add to your Photopass account. :) I went for lunch and I liked the food. Hubby didn't care for it too much, but he got something weird so it was his own fault. :lmao: We got free champagne for being newlyweds, so I definitely recommend that place. :)

If Cinderella is the only princess you or your little one care about, 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian is a good choice. Not only do you get good food, but Cinderella is there as well as Prince Charming and the Tremaines.

(I am basing this info off my trips from a couple years ago--feel free to correct me if I am wrong.)

I was scrolling through to post our details when I saw that my Daughter in Law (would that be DDIL? lol) already posted them! But I will add it anyway.

We will be at POP from June 12 - 18. LittleAngie is already listed; she beat me! lol.

Hello from a fellow Kentuckian and :welcome: to the June thread!

Thanks for the info. I was actually thinking about going w/ Akershus. DD likes Cinderella but her favorite is Snow White, so sounds like a good choice! Thanks again!

We've eaten at Chef Mickey's before for breakfast on our previous trips and have booked it again this year. I do have to echo one of the PP by saying that the characters are rushed simply because there are so many tables and people to visit. However, on our last visit, our waitress asked us if all the characters had been to our table, Minnie hadn't made it yet, so she went and got her for us. So in the end, you should be able to have some time with all of the characters. But they don't spend a ton of time with you.

The food is good, not great, and the atmosphere is nice. We haven't done the dinner at Chef Mickey's before.

As far as the Princesses go, we have eaten at CRT in the past. VERY cool place to eat, good food and great interaction with the characters there. We ate breakfast.

If you only wanna do a one TS meal, I would try either breakfast at Akershus in Norway in Epcot or 1900 Park Fare for dinner at the GF. Any way you go you can't go wrong. :thumbsup2

We'll be there the same time. I also wanted to do some character meals, we're gonna try California grill and The Crystal Palace. We did CRT last time too and it was nice but we're not doing anymore that require 2 TS. We could never get reservations for Chef Mickey's last time so I kind of gave up on that one. Have a great trip.:cool1:

Well, he we go again - Woo Hoo! Just made airfare reservations. We will be there from June 21 - 29. Planning on staying at CSR, unless some great discount "magically" happens, so we can change to AKL, (our Favorite).

We were just there in November for our Daughter's Sweet 16 for a quick celebration. We brought her BFF for her first ever Disney trip. (first plane ride and all). She loved it, and now we are bringing her along again! Looks like we "hooked" another one. LOL. Now we need to hurry up and get our ADR's booked. We have our wish list, we just need to sit down and plan out our days, so we can figure which restaurants for which days. Of course, the planning is half the fun!

Thanks for including us in your thread!
Jane:goodvibes

Welcome Jane! We love AKL. We are staying at Kidani for most of our trip, except for two days at POFQ. We were trying to save money this year. I added you to our list on page 1.

We like Chef Mickey's for breakfast better, but we usually go early in the morning when they are less busy. This year we are trying the latest breakfast to make it more like a brunch. I didn't really like the dinner foods.

I like 1900 Park Fare. Cinderella is there and the step sisters are so funny. Akershus is good for breakfast. Just be aware that the princesses rotate. We went one time and it was Ariel, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White. The other time it was Jasmine, Sleeping Beauty, and Ariel.

Thanks for the information! I think we will do Chef Mickey's if for anything else but to see the characters without standing in line. We loved CRT in 2009 but I am trying not to do any that count as 2 this time since we are not there as long. Thanks again!

My DS and DH did Crystal Palace last time while DD and I did CRT (they didn't have any interest in going there). They really liked CP. Thanks!

Thanks for adding me! I have 2 ADR's and 3 to go. I am going to try for Chef Mickey bfast. Thanks for the heads up about Akershus. I am still undecided about that one. Thanks again!

Now, if I could just get O'hanas. The only times that are still available while we are there are late, like between 8 and 9. Not sure if I want to do dinner that late. We really liked eating there last time we were there!

Thanks everyone, COME ON JUNE!!! :dance3:

We have done the princess meal in Epcot and done 1900 Park Fare for Dinner. We really loved 1900 Park Fare! You only see Cinderella as far as princesses but the step sisters are there and so much fun! We had the earliest ADR and my daughter was picked to open the dining room. There stood Cinderella when the doors opened. She took my daughter's hand and led us to our table. It was wonderful!

Well my fellow June travelers, looks like I'm moving my trip up by a week. School gets out sooner, and DD19 gets to come with us if we make the trip between semesters!!!

Have a great time.

We really like CRT but dont want to use two TS's to eat there and want to pay $150 + oop to eat there either. We've done 1900 Park fare for breakfast and doing that one again this year as well.

We LOVE  'Ohana!!! We have ADR's there twice for this trip. Even if you book an 8-9 I would and hope that someone cancels for earlier in the day so you can change. One of our times for 'Ohana is at 8:50......hopefully we'll be able to watch Wishes from the restaurant.

Well, at least you all get to go together. That is the important part. You can still stop by and give advice and tell us how your trip went so we know what to expect. ;)

I did Akershus for dinner last June and it was pretty good. I wasn't crazy about my meal (The Norwegian Meatballs), but the entrees are technically all you can eat, so if you don't like what you got, you can ask for something else. The cold bar was interesting and the desserts were FANTASTIC.

You get a picture of your party with Belle included with your meal (1 big and 2 little prints). The princesses I met were Belle, Snow White, Aurora, Cinderella, and Jasmine. :)

I enjoyed that, but I'm trying something different this time with 1900 for breakfast. I love the Mad Hatter and Alice!

OMG, the mad hatter rocks! My kids had a blast goofing around with him:rotfl:. He made the breakfast worth it. Enjoy!

LuvGoofy- I've also been trying to get Ohana's for dinner but could only find 8:50 and it's just too late for us. We ate there on our last trip and it was one of my favorite meals. Right now I have breakfast booked there, I couldn't believe they were all booked already.
