LOL by a week! We were so fortunate to have such beautiful weather that November. It was 65 the day we were hitched, kind of rare for November in PA. You probably had much of the same in Maryland.

I remember two things about the time of year...1) It rained on our wedding and your right it was not especially cold. I remember we only wore light jackets to our rehearsal and 2) it was the year of the sniper attacks (which happened where we live) so people from out of state were scared to come to our wedding.

I think I already know what you will answer in response to this question, but I will go ahead and ask anyway!

Is it really necessary to make ADR's this far in advance? Can't I just wait until the first day of our trip and book them through our rep?

I am only looking to book one character meal, think I have finally chosen Crystal Palace. I was going to check that one out and then possibly book another if everyone enjoyed it.

Please advise. Thanks in advance.

Still working on touring plans.

We find, that especially during the summer, ADRs work really, really well. You can get a seat a select restaurants (not everyone) simply by waiting, but that might mean that you have to wait for over an hour at times to be seated. Some character meals have times available while you are there, but usually not Chef Mickey's or some of the other really popular ones. You can always make a reservation just so you have it, and then you can cancel it 24 hours in advance (just as a courtesy to others-unless you need a credit card to hold the reservation and then you HAVE to make sure that you cancel or you will be charged as a no show). You can see what others think. They might have other opinions, but we always make our favorite ADRs so that we don't miss out.

We don't do a park on our first day there just because we drive and we are all usually very tired. We do a room only for the first day there. However, if you are getting there early on the first day and leaving late on the last day, I would get the 6 day instead of 5. Even if you go to the park for half of the day for each first/last, I think that it's worth it. (just my two cents).

I know on our first trip with the kids we only had one character meal reservation. We enjoyed it so much and wanted to book another one during our stay. Well, we tried several times and there was nothing available! That was also in October not June. I say book a couple. You can always cancel if you change your mind.

Hey guys, jumping in here.... We'll be staying at the Poly from June 5-10. I'm so excited just booked it last week so I'm still working on the ADR's. I keep changing my minds and what days to do what parks, I'm not a real decisive person . I tried to get Ohana for Monday the 6th but it's all booked up already, what???? Seemed to be able to get everything else so far. I'll post my times and dates once I'm sure, the reservation system will probably log me out as I keep changing my mind.

Looking forward to sharing in the excitment with all of you.

There is more I'm sure but those are the things we are taking for our girls

We are going to CRT with our 2 year old (she'll be 2 1/2 by then) and I really dont think she will appreciate it at all, or even remember it, but then she's more of a winnie pooh/fab 5 kinda girl. Our dd7 will adore it though and so will I, so for us the $$$ is worth it. I would maybe wait and take her to the less expensive options. she will appreciate the whole concept and magic of eating IN the castle by then too, not sure if she would this time, even if she did enjoy the characters.

I really can't wait making df sit through beauty and the beast as i type, even though both dd's are in bed (it's 22.28 here)

Thanks for reminding me, I've got to get us some matching T-shirts, I'm a disney nerd! I also always go to Walmart and pick up some cheap ponchos to bring, they are expensive in the parks and my kids are cranky when they are soaking wet, it's only fun for the first five minutes. Michaels also has glow bracelets for $1 if anyone is still looking for them.

I know, ADRs for certain places book so fast. Others I have changed two or three times already and there are always openings. Whenever you want to list your ADR list that is fine. Looking forward to planning with you.
