I just called and changed my reservation from room only to include the dining package as I have an annual pass I didn't need the tickets. When I received my reservation confirmation it shows Contemporary Garden View Wing even though they confirmed that it is an Atrium level bay lake view room. Has anyone else had the same problem...I am just nervous that somehow are reservation is going to get mixed up.

I have the same problem, but everytime I have called (or talked to the IPO), I have asked and my room is what I booked. When we got our documents (after full payment), it also shows the correct room. Several CMs have told me not to worry about the web site. Interestingly (not surprisingly!), although the room online was a GV room instead of Atrium club magic kingdom view......the remaining $$$$$ that I owed were ALWAYS for the cost of the Atrium room!

I think it is a glitch that they haven't bothered to fix since they are transitioning to that new planning site (along with doing an itinerary etc).

Congratulations and yes, that is a good deal. Other than the -45% off Villas (DVC) promo that is good until 6-3, the -40% is the highest room-only discount available (we used it for BLT). It's great that they brought back the -40% for military this year.

Just a reminder that although you can't add park tix to the military promo (I know you don't need them) you can add the DP. And this year, unlike last year, you can also add the DxDP.

If you or others reading this need more than the $99 4-day mil. tix, you can purchase up to 7-day tix on base/post w/o tax and at a 5% discount over rack rate. SOG also sells the APs.

The CR's BLV is our favorite view. Even though we're staying in a 1-bedroom this year at BLT, we booked BLV.

Thanks WDWKOOK! I could have chosen a 1 bdrm villa for the same price but I didn't really like having a queen sofa sleepers for 2 adults. I'll probably wonder if I made the right choice later,lol. That price includes our DP,YAY!

I'm not trying to cause trouble, but I was just wondering, how would a BLT 1-bedroom be the same price as a Tower room? And how many adults are in your party? The BLT 1-bedroom is more than twice the square footage of the CR rooms and has 1 king bed in the MBR. I've read that the queen sleeper is very comfortable. There is also a sleeper chair in the LR.

I don't know, maybe it was a Tower 1 bdrm villa Bay Lake view. Maybe I should call back and get it. I narrowed the selection down to those 2 choices, so I'm sure it was a 1 bdrm villa.

Oh yeah,,,4 adults, 1 child. So we pay an extra $300 I believe, for the extra 2 adults for a room.

i know i read this before...but can't find it now....

do all the rooms have a refrigerator? do they have a small freezer in the top of them? if so, does it work well enough to freeze small ice packs to put in coolers?

To my knowledge, most of the refrigerators don't have a freezer...however, on our last trip to the CR we did indeed have a refrigerator with a small freezer section in the upper left. It even had a little miniature ice cube tray in it. That said, out of several trips that is the only time we had a freezer in our refrigerator, so I wouldn't plan on having one. Maybe you'll get lucky, though!

No, our room did not have a freezer section. We had to bring our ice pack to coat check and they kept our ice pack in their freezer. Just make sure you get a check receipt.

Well, with the one-bedroom, along with all the additional space and some privacy, you get two full bathrooms, which might be very helpful when getting ready in the morning. And as far as the sleeper sofa goes, my teenage son says it's very comfortable, FWIW.

Oh, and nothing feels better than that whirlpool tub after a long day in the parks!

We also used the 40% pin code. We have a total of $5100 for 7 nights- that includes a tower mk view room, ddp for 4 adults/1 child, and park hoppers for all as well. Note that dh and I are the only "adults" in the room. Our two older kids are over "adult" ddp age though. Just to give you something to compare it with!

An atrium club room - MK view with the AP discount became available today for our trip next weekend. So we upgraded. Very excited to try out the atrium club.

The 1-br.standard view BLT room is only $15 more per night than our CR-mk view room! Rack rates are $500 for the CR room and $515 for the BLT room. So with the 40% off, for only $63 more(for the week) we could stay there as well! Do the pin codes even work for dvc rooms??

It's a difficult choice, I know. My 12yo niece preferred being in the main tower to our 1-bdrm at BLT, but the rest of us loved the extra room and quiet. If we wanted to get to the hub-bub, it was a quick walk across the skybridge.

It's hard to give up the MK view, but maybe ask yourself how much time you're actually going to spend enjoying it, and maybe it will turn out it's not that big of a deal to you. Or if it is, then you have your answer right there.

I have never stayed in the tower, so.... BUT we stayed at BLT for a week in December and absolutely LOVED it! There was the full size refrigerator and freezer, the washer and dryer, and the additional bathroom were the big plusses. We also really liked having the "dining room table" to sit at when the kids had to do homework, or we were sorting out all the stuff we collected during the day. It wasn't perfect... but we really enjoyed it there.

I just realized that there is an Observation Deck on the 4th Floor. We had MK View last time we stayed so we watched the fireworks from our balcony. Well, this trip we are trying out the larger Deluxe room in the Garden Wing and we are missing the view. I saw on the map that there is an Observation Deck. DOes anyone have any pictures? Where do we go to find it? Is it outside? Is the music pumped in? Are there benches? Thanks in advance!!!

Now, that the BLT are open is the Contemp Cafe more crowded? What about the elevators going to the 4th floor? Can you even tell a difference? We are a little nervous about the crowds. Thanks again everyone!!!
