I will be there Jan 20 thru the 27th. I have been thinking club level for a long time. I just checked and looks like no club when I am there. Maybe I will get some pixie dust and it will just work out.

I think this will be ok. All of the other reasons will keep me at CR. CR resort fan you have sold me in a big way. All the rest will work out, and I don't have to because the gym is closed LOL

I am sure you will have a great time staying there no matter what is happening.

I agree. I have calmed down a bit now, especially while I am in the middle of wrapping up the CR monorail playset to put under the CHristmas tree for tomorrow! I'm going to hope for the best, hope to see those castle lights, and welcome any posts and pictures from those of you who are witnessing it before myself ;) Merry Christmas everyone! :santa: :grouphug:

Hi,
I admit to not having read all the preceeding pages.... but I'll ask any way.:rolleyes1
Are the standard rooms in the garden wing the same size as the tower rooms??
Thanks everyone, am considering a quick trip in early March and I'd like to stay here again.:)

That's a great way to look at the whole situation.

The rooms in the Garden Wing are exactly the same as the ones in the Tower.

Hi folks! :goodvibes

Just got back on Tuesday...we were in room 4745 from 12/14 - 12/21 which is on the 11th floor MK view, far on the Fantasia store side. 2nd to last odd numbered room on the floor. This was in celebration of our 26th anniversary and the first time my wife and I were alone on a trip in over 22 years. To say this was magical would be an understatement...it was our best trip ever to either Disneyland or Disneyworld. The service was the best we have experienced with a universally attentive and friendly staff, and perfect performance by mousekeeping. Some highlights:

Monday 12/14 - Arrived at 5pm. Room was spotless and there was a complimentary bottle of champagne for our anniversary. They then delivered a mickey shaped gift basket from the CR staff of chocolates, fruit, cheeses, etc. There were also some special decorations already set up in our room for our anniversary. Magical touches as we watched the fireworks from our balcony the first evening.

Tuesday 12/15 - crowds were not bad at all at MK. We had a character lunch at CP and then a late dinner at Tony's. CP was great with a signed card from Pooh, Tigger, Eyore, and Piglet for our anniversary and fun character interaction. The food at Tony's was a little disappointing this time. Had tickets for MVMCP and crowds weren't that bad for it in our opinion. Also noticing how good mousekeeping has been for us...working around our leisurely schedule and everything spotless. Turn-down every night without fail.

Wednesday 12/16 - Epcot was fun and crowds were again on the lower side from what we saw. Lunch at Biergarten and then an early dinner at Garden Grill with dinner package for the Candlelight Processional. Great food at both places. Candlelight Processional is fantastic and worth the effort.

Thursday 12/17 - back to MK with a MVMCP later. We did the Holiday Wishes Desert party and that was superb! Great desert bar, with good quality and variety of deserts. View was fantastic with a table near the balcony closest to the castle.

Friday 12/18 - AK with crowds still fairly low. Finished with another MVMCP and wishes desert party...fantastic. Crowds were the busiest yet Friday evening but still very manageable.

Saturday 12/19 - Epcot with a late dinner at Le Cellier's. Super food. Crowds much busier but we went with the flow.

Sunday 12/20 - Hollywood Studios with a Fantasmic dinner package at Hollywood & Vine. Nice food for a buffet...we usually like it there. Crowds were pretty heavy on a long-scheduled fantasmic day / Sunday before Christmas. We still got to hit TSM twice due to the kindness of a CM the night before and a free Fastpass. We were there early so were able to ride what we wanted before things got crazy including both main shows. Rope drop and fastpass is your friend on busy days.

Monday 12/21 - a last couple of hours at MK and pleasant ride on Disney Magical Express to the airport.

There was a nice bounce-back offer in the room, so we took advantage of that to book a 10 night for 2010 from 12/7 - 12/17 this time. This will also be our first time on the concierge level...so thanks for all the tips CR Resort fan...you talked me into it.

Best trip ever! I will get some pictures up in the next few days. :thumbsup2

Pjimmeyer,
Thanks for posting that amazing detailed trip report and it's to bad we didn't run into each other while we were there. Also we took advantage of the bounceback offer in our room and used it for our August 2010 reservation, for the Atrium Club - Bay Lake View.

I actually told my wife to keep an eye out for someone in a Toronto Mapleleafs hat ;)

Pjimmeyer~

Thanks for posting!
It brought back good memories of our anniversary trip a few years ago to the Contemporary.
Taking the kids is great, but just the two of us brought out a whole new side of Disney for me.

Thanks for your review, pjimmeyer! glad you had a great trip! Can I ask what kind of a deposit you have to put down for a bounceback? And once you book a bounceback, can you change the dates at a later time as long as it falls within the alotted dates? I'd like to do a bounceback this time, but I never know that far in advance when I could actually travel...I was thinking of booking with an estimated guess, and then possibly updating the dates if possible? :confused3 Welcome back, and I'm glad your trip was magical!

If Pjimmeyer doesn't mind me answering for him the deposit is one night like you would any room only reservation.

As for changing the dates once a reservation is made, I guess like with other promotions it depends on how many rooms are available for it.

Beat me to it =)

For a bounceback package that includes tickets it's $200 for a deposit (and as CR Resort fan said...if room only then one night). I would think that going ahead with an approximate time and then fine tuning it later is a good idea. Just the longer you wait the less likely you will be to get exactly what you want.
