Well we had already made our flight reservations for December 12th and according to the site we would have had to check-in on the December 13th to get it.
But, you would save 30% more than AAA if you either arrive one day later OR stay with your 10% off AAA on the 12th and then use the 40% off thereafter.

Nope!! Now I am going to relax and enjoy next week's trip and stop obessessing about 2010.

But once I am back in December I will be back and raring to go for June!!! My ADR date is Dec 3 for goodness sake!!

elgerber- I don't know if it will work, but make sure you log into the WDW site when you are pricing out your December trip. That's what I did for the past couple of weeks, saving offers etc. When I didn't book I would get the pop up asking why not and I always said I was waiting for a deal. And low and behold, here came the deal today, referencing the dates I was playing with yesterday. Good luck! :wizard:

Congrats!!! :cheer2:

I tried the same thing for our DL trip in April and it may be coincidence, but a week after I saved a couple of offers and talked to a reservation CM online I got a pin code for DL Resort Hotel through e-mail.

I'm guessing some sort of bounce-back offer will be available for a return to the CR later next year when we go in 3 weeks...but just in case I already started monkeying around with some saved offers to see if I can trigger another one. :goodvibes

I guess if we were to have both it would mean two seperate reservations, but wouldn't that also mean checking back in on the 13th and changing rooms?

Not normally. You just link the 2 ressies together when you book so the room assigner knows whats going on. We had 2 ressies last year at the GF since we came in the day before a discount was offered. We paid the AAA rate for night one and the discount offer for days 2-10. We kept our room (just needed to pick up new KTTK cards the next AM) It was a piece of cake!

Well were still happy with the reservations we have and I look at this like not getting a pin code. It's to bad this other deal came out after our reservations were made, however there is no sense in getting upset over it and it's not going to spoil our fun at WDW.

Cinderumbrella is right, that's all there is to it, and adding-up the savings:teacher::laughing:. I can almost 100% guarantee you that you'll remain in the same room, especially since you're only staying one night on your AAA res. Just think what you could do with the savings;).

You can always modify any existing reservation (I believe within 5 days of arrival) to add or change pin codes or any savings offer with the WDTC/CRO.

Well we can always take a look and see if that offer is still available at the Contemporary with the Atrium Club - Bay Lake View, but incase it's not then we won't worry about it.

I hope you don't mind, but I looked for fun :flower3:

It is available for 12/13-12/22 for $343 per night. I looked under the CL 40% off tab on the WDW special offer page.

ETA: $343 until 12/18 then $478 for the remainder. (A bay lake view is listed as standard room atrium club, right?)

Thank you for looking and yes the Bay Lake View is the standard room for the Atrium Club.

We'll be at CR next month and staying in Garden Wing for the first time. My DH would like to stay on the third floor so noone is above us - eventhough we won't have balcony or patio.

So how do I request that room? Do I call Disney's main reservations number? What specifically should I ask for? Third floor with lake view?

Any rooms in the Garden Wing that are better than any others? DH also prefers away from the elevators and ice machines.

Thanks!

Kate

To request a specific room location you need to have it placed in your reservation. To do this call the WDTC/CRO and ask them to place the following request in your reservation (list in order of importance and have your reservation #):

1. 3rd floor room

2. Facing Bay Lake

3. Quiet location - away from elevator

There is much controversy on faxing room requests, as someone has reported on the DIS that some resorts simply throw-out the faxes and don't even look at them:sad2:, but it will not hurt to do this and many still do it. About 5 days prior to arrival, fax this same request to the attention of "CR Room Assigner" with a "please" and "thank-you."

Yours are great requests and that is exactly what we would request if staying in the GW, other than we prefer the ground floor so we can have a patio with all those cute bunnies and ducks and walk right out to BL. The one time we had that GW room, we never heard anyone above us which we were very worried that we would, and we have never heard anyone above us while staying in the Tower. We have, however, heard other guests through the connecting door.

Good luck and let us know what you end up getting.

I just wanted to say that WDWKOOK gave you some great advice on what to do. Finally I hope you have a great time staying at the Contemporary and good luck with your room requests.

Update on my "wanted" MK view tower room upgrade for my 12/12-12/19 CR stay.

I looked online and Tower-Bay Lake view came up under the 4/3 deal. So, I called right away and the first agent told me only GW available ....WTH? (GW was not showing online and had not shown online for weeks now). So I hung up, waited 5 min and called back. The agent offered me Tower Bay Lake view so I grabbed it. It amazes me how sometimes you have to talk to 2 or 3 people before you get the correct answer.

I am happy to now be in the tower but will still be looking for the MK view room!

Question: What is a good room request? I asked for a High floor on the opposite side of Chef Mickeys. Anyone have a better request for me?

Well the highest none Club Level floor you can request is the 11th floor, however I think any floor you end up on will be great no matter what. Besides that if you want a room away from Chef Mickey's then request one to be on the other side of it, by the Fantasia store. Finall if you request an odd numbered room your beds would be facing Epcot which you can see way off in the distance and if you get an even numbered room your beds would be facing Bay Lake Tower.
