When I made our August reservation for our anniversary trip, the woman told me that tower was available. Just looked at my ressie - it says
CONTEMPORARY-TOWER-BAY LAKE does that mean the reservation is at the Bay Lake Tower or does it mean I have a regular tower room with a view of Bay Lake? Anyone know? :surfweb: Thanks! Lisa

Based on the way you wrote it I am going to assume it's for the Contemporary Tower - Bay Lake View, because of the words Contemporary Tower being there. Also if you check your reservation online assuming you are registered with the WDW website, they will have a picture at the top page of where you are staying at.

Quick question...can you see any of the fireworks from the shores of Bay Lake or the pool at CR? I'm trying to decide whether or not the extra money is worth it for our next trip. It will be my three year old son, my husband, and I and while CR is my dream resort, it is so much more money!

I don't think you can, although if you don't want to spend the money for a Magic Kingdom View you can always watch the fireworks from the 4th floor observation deck.

We are staying at BLT and on my reservation it looks like this:

BL TOWR-CONTEMPORARY

I will be hitting the road in 1 week and 1 day for BLT! Can't wait to make my first trip home, with a little side time at the CR!

A couple of quick questions:

1. As of today, I have lost 55 pounds!!!!:cool1::banana: We are doing the DxDP, so I won't get to hang on to that number for long!:rotfl2: Is there a scale in the fitness center, so I can *try* to keep things from getting out of hand?

2. Is the Contempo the only place to get a snack on the ddp? I think I read that Grounds does not take the DDP. (darn it, the iced coffee sounds good!)

Thanks everyone!

Just curious about breakfast before hitting the parks. We really don't want to do any character breakfasts, but thought about maybe crossing over to one of the other MK resorts for a change of pace during the week, is this a hassle during the summer months?

How are the quick serve "eats" at CR? GF? Poly?

I'm sure the three on the Monorail are way easier than taking the boat to WL?

And I would think this would be easier than waiting to grab a bite while IN the parks?

thanks in advance

And one more thing about coffee? I think there is a coffee maker in the room, do they supply coffee and how is it. Or do I need to bring my own?

And I promise this is the last one for the moment........how is the pool at CR?

It seems bland, but maybe that is an old picture?

The Contempo Café at the CR does have a QS breakfast. The Wave's is a TS breakfast.

Capt. Cooks' at the Poly has a very nice QS breakfast, however, it can get rather crowded in the dining room. There is also outdoor seating. We love the breakfast at Kona Café which is a TS restaurant.

The GF has a nice breakfast at the GF Café, but we aren't fans of the QS at Gasparillas, mostly because we don't like dining next to the arcade, although you can eat outside.

If you've never tried the Whispering Canyon Café at WL, I recommend it at least once. It's a lot of fun and very entertaining. The breakfast is served family style and is all-you-can-eat.

All of the menus are available here:

Yes, there is a coffee maker and the coffee is in pods. It taste rather "watery", but there is the Contemporary Grounds near the check-in/out that serves fresh coffee.

Not sure what brand it is but, there is a 'pre-filtered pack' of coffee next to the coffee maker, with packs of nondairy creamer & sugar. We never thought that coffee tasted good, so we'll bring our own if we plan to use it.

We do the same, I buy those smaller, plastic coffee containers - they fit nicely in corners of suitcases.

Do you take loose coffee and filters with you? If so, what size coffee maker is it?

Thanks for the answers.
