So there will be CL CM's waiting for us at the door?

We check in this Saturday. DH wanted to know this morning how our luggage will get to our room "since we're staying in the park". He honestly has no clue as to what will be going on when we get there. He is just driving down and doing what I say....:rotfl2:

I told him we would drive to the hotel, show our ressies to the guard, then drive up to the front door. We will be met there by a CM who will help us with our luggage (way more than I thought we'd have!) and we'd need to tip that person once we get to the room if the room is ready. I told him we had to have a CL CM come get us to take us to CL to check in because we can't get there without a key to access the CL floor.

Did I tell him correctly? Since we are leaving tomorrow, he is finally asking questions!:scared1:
Well during my families previous Club Level stays at the Contemporary a Cast Member from the Bell services desk has called someone on the Atrium Club Level floor to let them know we arrived, then after that was done another Cast Member came down to meet us and take us up to check-in. So there might not be someone waiting all day for you, however after Bell services calls them to say you arrived then a Cast Member will come down to meet you.

Cinderumbrella,
Since the Finals are going at least to 5 games are you going to watch Game 5 this Sunday since it will be back on NBC. Also are you going to be at WDW should the series go 6 or 7 games, since those games are also on NBC.

Thanks CR Fan. Since there will be a game 5, I opted not to bring the laptop to watch the on-line stream of game 4. But hopefully game 5 will be the end of it! :wizard: I can't sit in my room and watch hockey every night (or can I :rolleyes1)

When I was at WDW in May 2002 the Toronto Maple Leafs just made the Eastern Conference Finals, so I got to see games 1 and 2, although those were the good old days when ESPN use to broadcase the NHL.

We were there in 2005 when the White Sox won the World Series- thank goodness it was on Fox!!!! And thank goodness it was a sweep since DH had to give up Game 5 tickets due to the trip...

Reading all these reviews has me so excited for our trip and we have months to go. we are going down Oct 20-23, not long, but a nice trip for the fam. Has anyone been around this time? What are the crowds like? We are not doing MNSSHP becuase I am not sure that our 4 year old would have the stamina after all day at the parks, so I was just wondering how the daytime crowds are?

Thanks in advance.

I know no one asked recently but... here is a sign from http://www.disneycontemporary.com/content/pools with the pool hours:

My kids have been wanting to stay at CR since we started planning our trip last year!! I am hoping to go this fall/winter - still trying to convince DH. I have received every PIN available, so hopefully once he says yes, CR will still have availability. Until then, I can dream and reading this thread helps!!!:cloud9:

I hope you have a great time staying there. Also just so you know since your husband will be there on a convention rate that means you will either be in the Tower or Garden Wing, because those guests with conventions don't get to choose which room and location they want. The reason is the convention rates are less expensive then the regular room categories and etc.

Thanks for the info :) My hopes are high for a great room though. Since my hubby's been on the board of directors for this group, we've gotten fabulous rooms with this convention at other sites. Whatever happens is great with me though. I wouldn't be going at all this year if not for this convention :thumbsup2

You're welcome.

If anyone headed to the CR please snap off some new pics for us. :goodvibes
