I know someone has posted about this before, and I apologize. We are staying in a Bay Lake view - what is the difference between the odd and even numbered rooms and what the beds face? Is one view preferred?

With the Bay Lake View if you get an odd numbered room your beds will face the direction of Epcot, Wilderness Lodge, Fort Wilderness and Downtown Disney. If you get an even numbered room then your beds will face the direction of Bay Lake Tower.

For the definitive answer, I would use the BLT Rooms and Views DVC thread:

A South Tower request could put you inner or outer facing. Meaning, your room could face toward BL/CR (outer) or toward BL/BLT pool (inner). The room assigner might not know why you're requesting the 5th floor, so I would probably mention "close to skybridge" and then your tower preference and inner or outer if you have a preference.

I really want to get something while I'm there to remember my CR stay. I hear they don't sell CR merch anymore...is this true? What else could I do to commemorate the stay?

I was thinking of investing in the monorail set while I'm down there... I was thinking of maybe getting the Contemporary add on for the memories. I looked on the Disney Store website just to get a general price idea for when I go down... 40 BUCKS?! for a plastic Contemporary figure? WHY is it so expensive? Yikes. Would you guys go for that?


Also, just a side question, assuming there's no significant wait, how long does it generally take to get from CR to Epcot? (considering the monorail transfer and such.)

When I was last there in December 2009 I don't remember seeing much of any Contemporary merchandise. As for why the Contemporary add on for the Monorail set is $40.00 I don't know the reason for that.

As for getting from the Contemporary to Epcot if there is no problems with the Monorail having to stop along the tracks, inculding switching Monorails and waiting for the Epcot Monorail at the TTC, I would say if all goes right it should take about 20 - 25 minutes.

Does anyone know if you can see the electric water parade thing from a MK veiw BLT room? If not, where and when can we see it? Do you have to go out to the beach? We are going in Nov, will it run every night? Sorry for all the questions, I just think it sounds neat and that the kids would like it.

From a MK view villa, you will be able to see the Electrical Water Pageant as it plays in front of the Polynesian and then the GF. When the MK closes late, it also plays there which of course is closer to the CR. You will not be able to see it when it plays in front of the CR as that's on the Bay Lake side. However, no need to go over to the CR. You can go down to the pool area of BLT, watch from the sky bridge or even from any elevator bank of BLT.

The South Tower part would confuse me as there are no separate towers in BLT. Anyway, have a great time....BLT is awesome.

Tower club CMs were great, floor was not busy at all. Boy were the parks though! And man was it HOT! Heard someone at SCI FI on Saturday try to get a table and were told try back after 10PM (park closure). Another family was told they might could get in the next day! Rain each afternoon, sometimes severe. Now just on to the laundry!

I bought a monorail with a Contemporary earlier this year as a pre-souvenir of my trip this year. I ran the monorail around the track some but now have the hotel with monorail set up on top of the shelves in my home office. It goes well with the train wallpaper border in the room and the other railroad items on my husband's side of the partners desk. The hotel is similar in color to the antique Mac computers also on top of the shelves.

Although I'm not positive, it seems the times for the EWP don't vary, like the schedule for fireworks and parades do. If I'm correct, at 10:05pm you'll be able to see the EWP from your balcony on the Bay Lake side of CR (we just did this in mid-May).

But I'd check with the cast members at CR during your trip, just to be sure of the time.

You can watch it every night! The EWP stops every night at 10:05 and can be clearly seen (and heard) from every CR/BLV room.
