Thanks for the info. Sorry for the delay in thanking everyone, I'm an ER nurse and been busy lately!(Yes I look on Dis when I'm not busy to get my "fix"!!) If you guys have any further advice on my upcoming stay, please let me know!!! Thanks again!

Hi guys,

I just got back from my stay at the Poly TPV last week and had a great time! The weather left something to be desired, but we spent a lot of time in our room enjoying the castle view and listening to all the sounds of the surrounding area so we got our money's worth for sure!

I wanted to post here because we did spend an evening at the CR and had a wonderful time! We requested to see a MK view room, and it really looks amazing in person. It was breathtaking! Now that I've had MK view at the Poly, I can absolutely say the "MK" view itself is definitely more grand at the CR....You see more of the park, and feel like you're in the middle of the action, while over at the Poly, you get the lagoon, palm trees and tropical landscaping with the castle and Space Mountain beckoning to you from across the lagoon. Both equally beautiful, but it all depends on what you're looking for :) We had dinner at the Contempo Cafe and I had the Chicken Basil Pesto Pasta....delicious! and DD had the best Chicken nuggets we'd seen all week. The CMs at the CR were all really friendly, I actually found them to go out of their way more than what I saw at the Poly! Lastly, we watched Wishes from the 4th floor observation deck and it was a fun experience! We could see everything clearly, while watching the monorail glide over occasionally. We loved the CR, and I'm crossing my fingers for another kind of deal for 2011 so we can try it out next year :thumbsup2

I'm glad to read that you liked the CC. It always receives mixed reviews which sometimes are less than favorable, but it sounds like you and your family enjoyed it:thumbsup2

Thank you for posting your review. It sounds like you're already contemplating staying at the CR next year. I'm sure they'll be some sort of discount available in '11 - or else:eek:

We'll be staying at CR for the first time during our May trip. I have a question about the amount of drawer space. I've tried to look at some pictures, but can't make out what I want to know! Am I correct that there is no sort of dresser? Are the only drawers part of the nightstands? How many nightstands? How many drawers in each?

We have 5 people, two of which are teenage girls----enough said! ;)

In one of the closets, there's a small dresser with drawers. There's also 2 drawers next to one of the beds, in the corder by the desk. Next to those is an open shelf where we put a bag. There were 4 of us--12, 15 and 2A, so I understand the need for space.

You can just see the corner one in this pic--the drawers are a good size! The area under the orange bowl has an open shelf, but the stuff really isn't visible. I don't have a pic of the closet drawers, sorry.

No pics of the drawers either, but those 2 by the desk are long and deep I was amazed at how much they held.

Plus one of the closets has double bars for hanging. I packed TONS of extra drycleaning hangers and hung up a lot of our stuff. The drawers in the closet were laughable small, however.

Here are links to more photos of the drawers. In addition to what mdrob214 already mentioned, there are also shelves at the top of each closet, next to the TV and below each sink (for toiletries).

They are small, but we find them perfect for stuff that doesn't matter if it gets wrinkled a little like exercise clothes, socks, undies and swimwear.

Thanks to all who responded.

I looked at all the pics, so let me be sure I'm looking at this correctly---- There will be the two(or three) long drawers which are part of the side table near the desk. There are two small drawers in the closet. (Not counting the drawers near the fridge or shelves in the closet) Is this it? Am I missing anything?

I think you've got them all:thumbsup2

Well, now I have to say I am a little worried. Usually each of my kids takes their own drawer to unpack in (I have three--two of which are teenaged girls) ----What do ya'll do with all your stuff? :confused3

If it can be hung, I hang it (shirts, shorts, pants etc) and leave the drawers for underwear, socks, swimwear etc. Seriously, start collecting those metal drycleaning hangers now and shove them in one of the outer pockets of your suitcase. They weigh next to nothing and I never use those outer pockets anyway.

WDWKook posted a link to Craig's site with a picture of the double bar closet I posted about earlier. You can fit TONS in that closet on those wire hangers. If you have long things (like sundresses etc) they can be hung in the closet with the safe. There is about 10-12 inches of "long space" in that closet.

I would be more concerned about bathroom space than drawer space with 2 teenage girls :rotfl:

I guess that's what I will have to do. We've stayed at the Poly a couple of times, and they have the same sort of closet set up with the double rod in the one closet.

HA HA---tell me about it! Of course I'm worried about that. I guess I'm just having a hard time getting excited about CR. I love the idea of trying out different resorts, but I keep thinking about the Poly or Yacht Club.

Thanks for your help. :thumbsup2

Oh, I can add fuel to your resort changers' fire!:firefight Have you considered a stay in a one or two bedroom at BLT?

Actually I have.........just a little more than I wanted to spend during this trip. NOW, if I could only talk DH into just buying up some DVC there, that would be ideal! ;)

We always pack our suitcases with full outfits. If we go for 7 days we lay out 7 complete outfits including undergarments and pjs and add a few extra clothes for just in case.

We split up the outfits into different suitcases ( 4 outfits in one, 3 in another) this way if some of the luggage gets lost, we still have complete outfits to wear.

That being said, I would leave half the oufits in one of the suitcases (dirty laundry goes in the others) and when 4 days are up, unpack the other suitcase. Some people will have to share a drawer but at least there is room for everyones clothes. ;)

I understand:)

This will be our first BLT stay and I booked a cash reservation with a -40% pin.

I think cinderumbrella's advice about hanging clothes is very helpful. I don't think you'll have a problem fitting everything. Could you possibly keep some clothes in your suitcase? Or could the teenage girls just share clothes?
